Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 315: Command
"Moira." Joe felt a twinge in his nose when he heard Moira Young’s words, nearly bursting into tears. "You’re the best person I’ve met in this unfamiliar city. Thank you, Moira."
She was truly grateful, thankful for everything Moira Young had done for her, and grateful to the heavens for bringing her to Moira Young’s side.
Just how lucky was she to encounter an angel like Moira Young?
"I should be the one thanking you." Moira Young’s lips curved slightly, playfully winking at Joe. "If it weren’t for you, with my self-care skills, I’d probably have starved long ago."
Joe broke into a smile amidst her tears. "Of course not. Moira, you’re the best person in the world. Besides, even without me, President Sinclair wouldn’t let you suffer."
The two chatted and laughed in the hospital room while Julian Sinclair was eloquently speaking at the press conference.
The previous car accident had caused The Sinclair Group’s stock to plummet. Julian Sinclair’s appearance at this press conference left the major media outlets greatly surprised.
Earlier, rumors had spread, even claiming that Julian Sinclair would die in the car accident, which was the main reason for The Sinclair Group’s stock plunge.
Now, just over half a month later, Julian Sinclair not only wasn’t dead but was standing alive in front of everyone, proving that the previous reports were completely unfounded.
"Welcome to The Sinclair Group’s press conference. I am Julian Sinclair." Julian Sinclair sat at the conference podium dressed in a dark blue suit, his expressionless face matched by a voice devoid of emotion.
Despite this, his appearance caused a huge sensation.
It was well-known that Julian Sinclair was extraordinarily mysterious, rarely participating in such press conferences.
His special arrangement for the press conference today naturally attracted the attention of all media.
However, after introducing himself, Julian Sinclair sat down and seemed unwilling to speak further.
Instead, it was his butler, Liu, who stood up and started to guide the conference’s proceedings.
Most of the previous conferences had been attended by Butler Liu, and the media were very familiar with him. Seeing him stand up, all microphones and lights were directed toward him.
"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to attend The Sinclair Group’s press conference. Mr. Liu thanks you once again."
Liu spoke as he bowed deeply, displaying his gentlemanly demeanor.
"Mr. Liu, hello. I have a question I’d like to ask if it’s convenient," a reporter rushed forward, pointing a microphone at him with a rather rude attitude.
He instinctively frowned but maintained a smile. "Please go ahead."
"Previously, there were rumors that President Sinclair died in the car accident, causing a huge stir. Yet your group made no explanation whatsoever. Was it a deliberate ploy by your group to gain attention, or perhaps a business strategy?"
Faced with such unreasonable questions, Butler Liu’s expression didn’t change. He slowly replied, "We are entirely unaware of the rumors. Besides, The Sinclair Group has stood firm in Asia and the world for many years, relying on its own strength, not such unrefined marketing tactics."
"If it wasn’t a marketing tactic, then what’s the deal with these rumors?" the reporter pressed relentlessly.
"We will get to the bottom of the situation. If it is verified that someone is spreading false information, we will directly sue them, using the law to protect our rights."
"Setting this matter aside, it is said that AE Entertainment has completely banned the Rhodes’ daughter from the entertainment industry. How do you explain this? Does it mean the Sinclair Group and Rhodes Group have openly broken ties?"
Butler Liu’s face remained unchanged as he calmly replied, "Regarding the ban on Ms. Rhodes, I believe those with discerning eyes will judge fairly. The idea of breaking ties with the Rhodes family is just nonsense."
"So, does this mean The Sinclair Group still plans to ally with the Rhodes Group?"
"This is a matter for the Sinclair family, and I’m afraid it’s not convenient to disclose."
The reporters posed increasingly sharp questions, but Butler Liu was used to such occasions, answering each question perfectly, blocking the reporters yet not overly aggressive.
Seeing that most of the questions were asked, Butler Liu calmly returned to the theme: "Everyone, aside from dispelling rumors, we are holding this press conference to launch our Sinclair Group’s new product. Please focus on our new product now, which will surely bring you a great surprise."
The reporters looked at each other. They hadn’t been notified about any new products from The Sinclair Group beforehand. They came to dig for big news about Julian Sinclair, now the focus had abruptly shifted to a new product, leaving them caught off guard.
On the new product, Butler Liu provided a detailed introduction, yet these media outlets were completely unprepared, unable to ask anything relevant.
After several hours, the conference finally concluded.
Back at the company, Butler Liu stood in front of Julian Sinclair with a tablet in hand, a noticeable arc on his lips: "Young Master, the stock has risen."
"Hmm." Julian Sinclair calmly expected the stock rise, his demeanor showed no trace of happiness.
"Young Master, it seems the Rhodes family intends to oppose us." Butler Liu recalled the questions about the Rhodes family at the press conference, unwittingly furrowing his brows.
Julian Sinclair nodded slightly. "If they want to play, let’s play with them."
In the afternoon.
Julian Sinclair was about to pack up and go to the hospital to see Moira Young. Before he could leave the office, his phone began ringing frantically.
He glanced at the caller ID, a hint of impatience crossing his eyebrows, before slowly pressing the answer button, his subsequent tone was cold: "Yes?"
"Can’t even call me Dad now? I taught you for so many years, yet you lack basic manners?" Came the displeased voice of Julian Sinclair’s father on the other end.
"What’s the matter?" Julian Sinclair seemed unwilling to waste words with him. "If there’s nothing, I have business to attend to."
Facing Julian Sinclair’s disrespectful attitude, his father’s face turned ashen with anger, "How are you talking to your father?"
Julian Sinclair sneered, his tone increasingly disdainful: "You remember you’re my father. Back when mother..."
"Never bring her up in front of me!" His father interrupted angrily, followed by an imperative order, "Return to Vesperia immediately."
"Can’t comply." Julian Sinclair’s lips lightly curved, completely dismissing his father’s words.
This self-proclaimed father never gave him a shred of paternal love, not to mention driving his mother to her death.
Now he had no right to demand his filial obedience to him.
"I’m not negotiating with you. It’s an order. You have three days to reconsider, otherwise, don’t blame me for going after that little girl." His father knew Julian Sinclair’s weakness; as long as he targeted Moira Young, he believed Julian would comply.
