Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 307: Blood Loss
After several hours of treatment, the light in the operating room finally went out.
Adrian Grant stood up nervously, his legs trembling uncontrollably as he walked to the doors of the operating room.
As soon as the doctor came out, he approached and tightly grabbed his arm: "Doctor, how is it?"
The doctor removed his mask, his expression serious: "Mr. Sinclair is out of danger, but Miss Young’s condition is quite severe."
"What happened?" Adrian’s face tensed, his hands shaking uncontrollably.
"Miss Young’s injuries are severe, and the excessive blood loss requires a transfusion..."
"Then give her a transfusion, what are we waiting for?" Adrian interrupted anxiously before the doctor could finish speaking.
The doctor said helplessly: "Miss Young’s blood type is extremely rare; it’s negative panda blood, and it’s scarce nationwide."
Adrian was stunned, his eyes instantly losing their shine: "How could this be?"
"We must find a compatible blood type quickly, or Miss Young will be in danger." The doctor adjusted his glasses and sighed deeply.
"This..." Where can we find it?
At this moment, Julian Sinclair was wheeled out of the operating room, his eyes tightly closed, making Adrian’s heart grow heavier.
"Time is running short, Mr. Grant."
The doctor saw Adrian’s gaze follow Julian’s hospital bed as it left, and couldn’t help but remind him.
Adrian snapped back to reality and hurriedly ordered people to search for the correct blood type. Time waits for no one. If Julian woke up and Moira Young was already...
He dared not think further, shaking his head and spending a fortune on a person search advertisement.
As long as someone with Moira Young’s blood type was found, whether they agreed to donate blood or not, they’d be rewarded with no less than five hundred thousand.
Such a significant offer naturally attracted many eager people, but it didn’t solve the problem; instead, it made things more complicated. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖
Adrian received several calls in Julian’s hospital room, all telling him that no compatible blood type was found. As the time set by the doctor ticked away, his anxiety grew.
"Keep searching! Within half an hour, I want you to bring me good news! Not tell me you can’t find it!"
Frustrated, he hung up the phone, turning to look at Julian, only to find him already awake.
Adrian was startled and asked quietly: "Julian, when did you wake up?"
"Two minutes ago." Julian’s voice was weak but carried an undeniable pressure.
"You heard everything?" Adrian looked at him nervously, rubbing his hands uncomfortably, about to explain.
Julian calmly said: "Give me the phone."
"Here." Although uncertain of Julian’s intentions, Adrian handed him the phone without hesitation.
Julian took the phone and called Housekeeper Liu: "Housekeeper Liu, quickly find out people domestically with Moira’s blood type, you have half an hour."
Housekeeper Liu replied solemnly: "I’ve already sent people to investigate, there will be results shortly."
"Good."
Adrian hadn’t expected Housekeeper Liu to be so efficient; shortly after the call ended, someone arrived with a list of blood types.
Julian took the list and glanced at it; Aiden Webb was at the top.
Aiden Webb was also negative panda blood.
Compared to others, Aiden was closest to them. If he was willing to donate blood to Moira Young, it would be perfect.
Julian had quite an opinion about Aiden, but at such a critical moment, he had no time to care.
"I’ll send someone to find him immediately." Adrian said as he opened the ward door to leave, bumping into someone hard.
He was about to curse when he heard a cold voice: "Where is Julian Sinclair?"
"Aiden?" Although Adrian saw Aiden for the first time, he recognized him from TV.
He was curious why he appeared without invitation, but then saw Aiden directly push open the door and walk inside, his gaze coldly fixed on Julian: "I want to donate blood to Moira."
"Alright." Julian had no objections.
Aiden’s attitude was not asking Julian’s opinion but informing him.
Earlier, Julian had said that the relationship between Aiden and Moira Young was exceptional; Adrian initially doubted, but now truly believed.
Given Aiden’s status, knowing Moira Young was Julian’s woman yet eagerly coming to donate blood, it already explained a lot.
Adrian touched his chin: "It seems Aiden is indeed good to Moira."
"Help me up." Seeing Moira Young about to undergo surgery, he was in no mood to lie in bed.
"Just lie down. I’ll keep watch over Moira’s side and inform you of any results." Adrian glared at Julian indignantly, "Can’t even stand, what are you trying to prove."
Julian seemed to ignore him, determined to get up. Adrian had no choice but to find a wheelchair for him to sit in, pushing him to the operating room doors.
They arrived just in time for the signing.
"Don’t worry, the surgery has a high success rate; there’s no need to worry." The doctor softly reassured Julian, seeing his reluctance to sign.
...
"I can’t hold a pen to write." Julian explained after a few seconds of silence.
Adrian sighed helplessly, took the pen from his hand, and swiftly signed Julian Sinclair’s name before handing it to the doctor: "Alright, go ahead with the surgery, don’t delay."
"Rest assured, the patient will be fine." With that, the doctor turned and entered the operating room.
The empty corridor was left with only Adrian Grant and Julian Sinclair.
Adrian sat in a chair, staring unblinkingly at Julian, while Julian’s gaze was fixed straight at the operating room.
"You don’t need to worry, the doctor said everything will be fine." Adrian knew what Julian was worried about, even if he didn’t say it, his heart must be anxious.
He valued Moira Young more than life itself; with her still in surgery, there’s no way he could be calm.
Julian stayed silent for a long time, then suddenly turned to Adrian: "Investigate Aiden Webb further for me."
"Why?" Adrian was puzzled, "Didn’t you already investigate him before?"
"Just do it." Julian frowned.
Adrian rubbed his nose: "I’ll do it, why get so fierce. But have you noticed something?"
Julian’s eyes moved, but he didn’t respond.
Adrian continued speaking to himself: "Have you noticed, Aiden Webb and Moira Young look somewhat similar?"
"What are you trying to say?" Julian’s expression was calm, showing no emotion.
"They look so alike, and share the same blood type. Could there be some blood relation between them?" Adrian rubbed his chin; the more he thought about it, the more likely it seemed.
