Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 12: Beaten
"Aunt, I’m sorry... it’s me..." Moira Young was so scared she almost burst into tears. She had always been cherished by Julian Sinclair and had never met such intimidating elders. She genuinely felt responsible for what happened to Heath Sterling, making her feel even more saddened and guilty, "I’m the one who hurt Heath..."
Aunt Sterling had always felt an inexplicable dislike for the girl, but now she understood—it was her who hurt Heath!
"I haven’t even settled accounts with you, and you dare show up?"
Moira Young sobbed helplessly, "Aunt, let me see Heath, please..."
"You still want to see—"
"Lainey, Heath is awake." Uncle walked over, glanced at Moira Young with a meaningful look but didn’t say anything, directly guiding Aunt Sterling away.
"Uncle, can I see him? Just a glance..." Moira Young chased after them, her teary eyes could pierce anyone’s heart.
"Child, Heath probably doesn’t want to see you now."
"But don’t blame yourself too much, it can’t all be your fault. Go home now."
Although Uncle’s words were soft, they were firmly rejecting.
Moira Young’s heart suddenly felt like it was cracking open, blood was flowing, and all she could hear was ’Heath doesn’t want to see you’.
She watched as Uncle and Aunt Sterling walked into the ward and locked the door tightly, leaving her with no opportunity.
At this moment, her phone rang—it was Julian Sinclair calling, but she was upset and didn’t want to answer.
"Moira Young?" Someone suddenly called out from nearby, the voice sounded very familiar.
She turned back, bewildered, to see Thea Thorne, her face still swollen, glaring at her with intense hatred.
"Why are you here? Haven’t you done enough harm to Heath?" Thea Thorne charged over.
"Smack—!" A fierce slap landed on Moira Young’s face!
"This slap is mine!"
"Smack—!" The other cheek took another smack!
"This one is for Heath!" Thea Thorne had hated Moira Young for so long, and finally had a chance to vent, how could she stop at just two smacks?
Moira Young was already weak and powerless, and coupled with the distress and heartache, she almost fell over after the two slaps, barely managing to steady herself by holding onto the nearby wall. Her long hair had come loose, she bowed her head, gently caressed her aching cheek, and stayed silent.
"My dad and Heath’s dad have already discussed transferring us. You hurt Heath, don’t expect Heath to like you; he hates you!" Seeing Moira Young not reacting, Thea Thorne was not satisfied at all. She scanned the surroundings, noticed a crutch discarded by a patient, and suddenly got an idea.
"Come here!" Thea Thorne grabbed Moira Young’s hair with one hand, dragging her to the corner behind the stair door, holding the crutch in the other.
"Moira Young, do you remember how my face got swollen?" Thea Thorne grinned wickedly, eyeing the crutch.
"Today, if you honestly let me hit you back, all our grievances will be wiped away, how’s that?"
Moira Young’s eyes were a bit vacant, giving Thea Thorne no response.
Her Uncle had always said that if someone bullies her, she should fight back relentlessly; now, she was hesitating.
"Show your face." Thea Thorne believed she consented, feeling overjoyed, pressing the crutch under Moira Young’s chin to lift her head, letting her striking features appear from beneath the messy strands of hair.
With malice glowing in her eyes, Thea Thorne was about to strike hard when Moira Young suddenly dodged, then seized the crutch from her hand as Thea overreached!
"Ah—!" A cry of agony broke the tranquility of the hospital corridor.
Thea Thorne was in such pain she nearly dropped to her knees! Frowning, she clutched her stomach tightly, unable to move due to the pain!
"You bullied me all the time at school; you know what you’ve done to me. I never wanted to argue with you, so what right do you have to hit me?" Moira Young’s eyes were bloodshot; her mind refused to think anymore. All she wanted now was to go home.
Thea Thorne’s screams attracted many onlookers.
"Kiki? What’s happening?" Aunt Sterling somehow also arrived, astonished at Thea Thorne sweating in pain, and looked at Moira Young holding the crutch.
"Aunt, she... she not only hurt Heath but also hit... me..." Thea Thorne, supported by Aunt Sterling to stand, pointed at Moira Young’s nose, her voice trembling with hatred.
Moira Young saw many people gathered around, looking at her with disdain and pointing fingers. She had always lived sheltered in Julian Sinclair’s palm; she was just a child... How could she have ever faced such scenes or withstand so much...
Faced with their accusations, Moira Young threw the crutch down and ran out without looking back.
But as soon as she ran out of the hospital, she suddenly crashed into someone without warning, hitting so hard that she landed right on the ground.
