Sweet Time Only for You: The Entanglement between Mr. Lu and Miss Song-Chapter 90: The Little One Finally Got His Wish
Song Yinyin finished the story and turned her head to see the little guy already fast asleep, breathing softly, and couldn’t help but feel amused.
She lowered her head and gently kissed his forehead, then turned off the light and lay down under the covers.
Little did she know, the moment she turned off the light, the little guy opened his clear, bright eyes.
In the darkness, he sneakily turned his head to glance at Mommy, a sly smile curling up at the corners of his mouth, identical to Lu Jihan’s mischievous grin...
Song Yinyin had just fallen into a light sleep when she suddenly heard Song Dabai next to her exclaim, "Ouch—"
"Hmm? Dabai, what’s wrong?" She quickly sat up and turned on the light switch.
"Mommy! There’s a bug biting me!"
"A bug? Where?"
Song Yinyin was most afraid of caterpillars and was startled.
Without having the time to think it through, she hurriedly lifted the covers and took her son off the bed, despite the fact that there couldn’t possibly be any biting insects in the enormous Lu Family Mansion.
"Where is it, where is it?" She kept her distance, terrified at the thought of those fuzzy creatures.
Song Dabai lifted a corner of the cover for her, pointed at something on the bed, and said, "Mommy! It’s right there, that dark thing!"
A black caterpillar?!
Song Yinyin was so startled she jerked, her eyes bleary with fear, sweeping a glance but not seeing anything clearly.
"Dabai, let’s quickly get out! We don’t want it to bite you!" Song Yinyin picked up her son and rushed out into the hallway.
The door opposite opened just then, and Lu Jihan poked his head out to ask, "What’s going on?"
"There’s... there’s a bug... on the bed..." She was so scared her face went pale, shivering and unable to speak clearly. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
"Take our son to my bed first, I’ll go check." With that, Lu Jihan walked briskly to the guest room next door.
Song Yinyin nodded, not thinking much about it, and carried her son into Lu Jihan’s room.
Thinking of that dark mass, she felt goosebumps all over, wondering how even a golden nest like this could have biting bugs...
She tightly hugged Song Dabai, nestled in the two-meter-wide bed.
Before long, Lu Jihan returned.
"How was it?" she asked anxiously.
Lu Jihan came in holding something: "It wasn’t a caterpillar, I checked. It was a dead wasp, and there’s a wasp nest under the eaves of the guest room’s window. It seems we’ll need to have Uncle Rong call someone to clean it out tomorrow."
"Then what do I do tonight..." Song Yinyin was dumbfounded.
Lu Jihan’s lips curled up slightly: "I’m afraid you can’t go back to sleep there unless you want to get stung by wasps."
A pair of small chubby hands next to her clung tightly to Song Yinyin: "Mommy, I don’t want to get stung by wasps, I don’t want to go back to sleep, let’s just sleep in Daddy’s room, okay?"
"Well..." She looked up at Lu Jihan, "Isn’t your house big enough to have another guest room?"
"There are guest rooms, but no extra beds."
Song Yinyin: "..."
Seeing it was already close to midnight, and if he didn’t sleep soon, the little guy would have dark circles under his eyes in the morning. Song Yinyin had no choice but to nod and say, "Okay, we’ll make do for the night."
Upon hearing that, the little guy sneakily looked up at Lu Jihan beside him.
The two of them secretly gave each other a high-five.
Lu Jihan’s lips also curved into a knowing smile.
All was well, the little guy finally got his wish.
And so, two adults and one child shared the same blanket and slept on the same large bed.
Whether it was because the bed was too soft, or the change of environment, or maybe the presence of Lu Jihan next to her, Song Yinyin tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep.
