Sweet Time Only for You: The Entanglement between Mr. Lu and Miss Song-Chapter 164: From Now On, She and the Song Family Are Strangers for Life (Part 6)
Song Yinyin did not respond to him.
Although the revenge had already been taken, her heart felt blocked, unable to feel any sense of relief or joy.
She coldly withdrew her hand from Song Huaizhong’s grip, not giving him another look.
His hand empty, Song Huaizhong’s expression was somewhat displeased.
He felt that he had already humbled himself and begged his daughter, even agreed to return the inheritance to her, so why was she still so indifferent?
But with Lu Jihan right next to him, his sharp, hawk-like eyes fixed on him, he couldn’t say anything.
At this moment, Song Yinyin turned her head and slightly bowed in greeting to Old Master Ji, "Old Master Ji, sorry for the disturbance tonight."
Song Huaizhong followed suit.
Facing Old Master Ji, he presented himself with utmost respect, his face quickly changing to a gentle and harmless demeanor.
"Old Master Ji, I am truly sorry, it was the reckless behavior of my daughter that has embarrassed you and your guests."
Old Master Ji ’hmm’-ed in response, but turned to Song Yinyin and said, "Girl, now that things are settled, don’t linger on it."
"I understand, thank you for your concern, Old Master." Song Yinyin was sincerely grateful.
Old Master Ji nodded, his gaze landing on her hand, noticing the dried blood, his brows furrowed even more tightly.
"You shouldn’t delay with that hand, quickly go to the hospital and have it checked. Jinhan, you and Furong quickly take her to the hospital."
"Alright."
Lu Jihan responded, wrapping his arm around Song Yinyin’s waist, they left first, followed by Ji Furong.
As she got into the car, Song Yinyin inadvertently glanced back, catching sight of Song Huaizhong following along.
He was waving his arm, saying something she couldn’t hear.
But Song Yinyin, feeling downcast, did not want to pay him any attention.
Seeing this, Lu Jihan softly asked, "Don’t you want to know what he came to say?"
"I don’t." She shook her head, bluntly stating, "From now on, I and the Song Family will have nothing to do with each other. I have no father named Song Huaizhong, and he has no daughter like me!"
Since this was her own decision, he didn’t say more.
Lu Jihan nodded slightly, then waved, "Drive, to the hospital!"
After going to Ji Furong’s hospital and having Song Yinyin’s hand properly treated, Lu Jihan personally drove her back to the Lu Family Mansion.
Throughout the journey, she didn’t speak.
When the car entered the courtyard and stopped in the garage, he turned around and noticed a thin mist of tears in Song Yinyin’s eyes.
He slightly furrowed his brows.
The next moment, he gently pinched her chin.
She was reluctant to turn her head, so he applied a bit of force, forcing her to face him.
Their eyes met, and all her troubles were laid bare, tears uncontrollably flowed, getting more and more.
"What’s going on?" he asked.
Knowing full well why she was crying, he still pressed her to speak.
Some feelings buried too long without release can stifle a person. Only by voicing them out could she cross that hurdle.
But, Song Yinyin was obviously not very cooperative.
"I’m fine." She shook her head.
Reaching for the door handle, but her shoulder was held in place by him, preventing her from leaving the car, she simply sat back.
With a demanding gaze, he stared unwaveringly at her.
Song Yinyin sniffled, unable to resist, finally revealing her feelings: "I know he doesn’t like me, but I can’t help feeling sad. Do you think I’m being pathetic?"
The pain quickly welling up in her throat choked her, blurring her vision.
