Sweet Nostalgia of the 80s-Chapter 2332 - 2325: Will You Consider Him?
"Sure!" Ji Chuan agreed readily, "It’s my honor to visit the home of a senior officer!"
Taking the opportunity, Commander Qiu said, "There’s no time like the present, how about today?"
"Unfortunately, I have a night shift today! How about tomorrow night? I’ll visit the officer specially!" Ji Chuan said.
"That’s fine. You’re welcome anytime."
"Alright then, since that’s the case, I’ll head to work first. See you later, Chief!"
After hanging up the phone, Ji Chuan went to his night shift. On the way, he kept wondering why Commander Qiu suddenly came looking for him?
They were merely acquaintances!
Though slightly closer than typical acquaintances, at most they were not that unfamiliar.
Ji Chuan pondered this on the way but couldn’t figure it out, though he didn’t take it to heart either.
........................
The next morning.
The car picked up An Hao from the hospital, and then Qiu Xinyi at the intersection, before heading to Hanshan Village.
An Hao sat in the car, while Qiu Xinyi sat in the back of the jeep. The two didn’t have any interaction or conversation.
The car bounced along all morning, finally reaching Hanshan Village around lunchtime.
As she dragged her luggage off the car, Yan Huan, who was eating at the tent’s entrance, saw her. Overjoyed, she placed her lunchbox on the ground and jogged over to An Hao: "An Hao, is that really you?"
"Yan Huan! You’re really here?" What a coincidence.
"Why? You knew?"
"I heard from Ji Chuan," An Hao said, carrying her suitcase beside the tent.
"Oh."
An Hao was waiting for her to continue, but Yan Huan said nothing else: "Don’t just ’oh’! So, what do you think of Ji Chuan?"
"Feelings?" Yan Huan shook her head, "There’s nothing special. I don’t like him, but I definitely don’t dislike him."
"There’s potential! There’s definitely potential!" An Hao said with a sly smile, "As long as you don’t dislike him, that’s a good thing!"
"As long as he doesn’t cling to me!" Yan Huan muttered under her breath, "An Hao, do you think he really likes me?"
"Oh, come on! Do you have a little crush on him? Confess!"
"Not at all! I’m just asking casually," Yan Huan refused to admit.
"Alright then. Let me tell you, that’s Ji Chuan’s knack. He likes you but doesn’t cling to you, giving you plenty of personal space! Isn’t he nice?"
After An Hao’s analysis, Yan Huan thought about it and realized that was indeed the case.
"Well? Are you considering him?" Seeing a glimmer of hope, An Hao quickly followed up.
"What do you mean? Don’t you already know what’s in my heart?"
"Cheng Yue?"
"Yeah!"
"I almost forgot. He’s here too, right? Have you seen him over the past couple of days? How are things between you two, have they improved?" An Hao asked.
"We..."
Yan Huan hadn’t thought of how to respond to An Hao yet when Cheng Yue came jogging over: "Speak of the devil, and he shall appear!"
"Junior Sister! I didn’t expect you’d be here too! You haven’t eaten yet, right? Come on, let’s go have some food!" Cheng Yue enthusiastically approached to help An Hao with her luggage.
"This food isn’t good. It’s fine if you don’t eat it! I have some cookies, An Hao, come with me to eat cookies, okay?" Yan Huan warmly invited An Hao, holding her arm tightly and not letting go.
