Sweet like Wine: Love Your Dimples Even More-Chapter 107 - 59: Still Can’t Figure Out Fifth Xia (Part 2)
It’s said that those who eat from others feel short-changed, which perfectly describes Gordo at this moment.
The praise from Gordon Sterling was so high that it seemed like he’d never had any disdain.
Indeed, he never did.
He merely felt disdain in his heart but never actually said it, so rounding it off, it meant he wasn’t repulsed at all, therefore, he felt no need to be embarrassed.
If just thinking about something is a crime, then probably no one in this world would be innocent, right?
What you think doesn’t matter; the key is that your words must be honest.
Gordon quickly found a perfect excuse for himself.
"Streamer Sterling, you really have an eye for things, don’t you." Artie Vaughn greeted Gordon with more enthusiasm: "The Earth’s most handsome streamer shouldn’t just stare at the legs; the full, round meat under the king crab’s shell is the true melt-in-your-mouth experience."
Gordon, who was quite comfortable with himself, felt a bit embarrassed from Artie’s compliments.
Once more, he is grateful for his substantial layers of subcutaneous fat, which helped cover Gordon’s face as it blushed from the inside out.
When Artie finished welcoming Gordon, Leo Vaughn also slowly returned to his seat.
The Nation’s Gentleman seemed somewhat absent-minded.
The act of feeding just now not only shocked Summer Fairmont and Artie but even Leo himself.
There was a girl in the kitchen, so busy that both her hands were occupied, and he, a guy holding a crab leg, wanted to give this girl a taste, and he completed the feeding action very gentlemanly under the girl’s implied request through her actions.
Even if this wasn’t a naturally flowing action, it was at least a naturally occurring event, right?
Leo felt quite okay with the action as he made it.
But the look in Summer Fairmont’s eyes after discovering he was the one who fed her left Leo with an indescribable feeling.
Was it horror? Or disbelief?
Or was it disgusted to the point that she’d spit out the food he fed her in the next second?
Leo couldn’t quite understand what Summer Fairmont’s expression and actions were meant to convey.
But he felt very clearly that his behavior was definitely not a pleasant experience for Summer Fairmont.
Being the Nation’s Gentleman for so many years, Leo had received food offerings from countless girls.
He always politely refused — smiling then refusing.
He had never accepted food from any girl other than Artie. (Offering him food as a baby, like from Talia Tate, was outside his memory and calculation.)
Whether it was a love bento, an invitation to lunch, or any various reasons, it was always the same gentlemanly refusal with a smile.
Leo didn’t even have the habit of feeding Artie.
How did he so naturally accept Artie’s plate and naturally "feed" Artie’s best friend?
Every cell in Summer Fairmont’s body radiated rejection, nearly causing the Nation’s Gentleman’s smile to "slide off" his face.
Realizing his "gaffe", Leo responded with an even deeper and more charming smile to Summer Fairmont’s shock and resistance, then returned to the table with an empty plate.
Artie noticed her brother’s not-so-high spirits and wasn’t sure whether she should be happy or sad. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
With her brother’s slow progress, that meant the Winters Ambassador still had a chance to surpass him.
But likewise, she didn’t know when her much-anticipated sister-in-law would ever arrive.
With Summer Fairmont not at the table, even if Artie wanted to flirt with her sister-in-law, she couldn’t, so she decided to implement her "one step ahead" plan first.
"Oh Master Sean Lowell, why did you only taste one bite and stop eating? Do you want Winters Ambassador to cook a piece for you?"
Sean Lowell was currently staring intently at Summer Lowell, and for a moment, he gave no reaction to Artie at all.
Artie, sitting next to Sean Lowell, couldn’t see his gaze or expressions.
In the Winters Ambassador’s dictionary, if Master Sean Lowell didn’t oppose, it equaled agreement.
Then she quickly picked a piece of crab meat, with all the "internal skeleton" thoroughly cleaned, for Sean Lowell.
After finding the best piece to eat, the fiery Winters Ambassador hesitated, surprisingly, without a bit of strength.
Artie hesitated for a second over her pot, moved her chopsticks towards Sean Lowell’s pot, withdrew them and hesitated for another second, before cautiously placing it into the boiling pot in front of Sean Lowell.
