Swamp Lord with an Intelligence System-Chapter 432 - 197: Expedition Against the Undead, Horns Blown, the Two-headed Ogre Chieftain Returns
After calming himself, Lear looked toward the door.
He took a deep breath and pushed the door open.
The next moment, the surroundings transformed, and he walked directly out from within a wall with the Flesh Butcher.
After leaving the wall, he immediately turned to look, and the passage was gone; the wall remained a wall.
He reached out to touch it; it was cold, hard, and showed no signs of being unusual.
Even when he fully extended his senses, he could only feel a solid wall, nothing more.
With a slight mental activation, he connected with the heart on the White Bone Altar, and the next moment, he seemed to understand.
The inscriptions on the altar not only continuously provided power to the heart but also served as the key to open that room.
Only its owner could open it.
That room wasn’t in this area but in another Dimension Space.
If one were to force it, even if they broke through the thick wall, they wouldn’t find its location.
No wonder the Dragon Lich was so surprised to see him.
After calming down, he finally had time to look around.
In his view was a giant hall as black as ink.
The surrounding walls were solid and towering, rising 50 meters high.
Above, on the dome ceiling, was an engraving of a Giant Dragon soaring with wings spread wide.
The aura it emitted was majestic and towering, and though it was a carving, it gave the impression of a Giant Dragon embedded within.
This hall was empty; there wasn’t any furniture, nor was there any sign of life.
Lear exhaled deeply, leading the Flesh Butcher slowly toward the open door.
Passing through the towering giant door over 20 meters high, the outside world came into view.
They were now not on the ground but on top of a building, with a height of 50 to 60 meters above the ground.
Looking further out, what met the eye was a colossal fortress city filled with various towering constructions.
Large swaths of buildings grew from the ground like bamboo shoots.
Twisting upward, they were full of imagination, and the overall style was shrouded in shades of gray—barren, silent, giving off the feeling of a fortress built atop a grave.
At the edge of sight, a solid city wall stood proud and high, with no visible guards or siege weapons on the wall.
After scanning for just a few minutes, the dense necromantic aura began to erode his body.
Making Lear feel somewhat uncomfortable.
This was not energy that the living could absorb, reserved only for the dead.
A normal living being living here would not take long to be corroded by the necromantic aura, forcibly transformed into an undead.
This was a forbidden zone of life, the Land of Death.
Thus, the Undead Plane was also known as the Death Plane.
After carefully examining it, Lear felt that this fortress city had some similarities with the Black Death City of the Dragon Lich in the Wilderness.
But for unknown reasons, the undead army wasn’t present here anymore.
Even with his full senses, he couldn’t detect any presence of life.
As he pondered, a strong wave of Magic Power suddenly emanated from beside him.
Turning his head instinctively, Lear was somewhat surprised to find the Flesh Butcher frantically devouring the surrounding necromantic energy.
The surrounding aura surged like a storm into its body.
The headless body, shrouded in negative energy, appeared even more hideous and terrifying.
It was as if a dreadful Evil God was awakening...
"Sovereign, the necromantic energy is greatly beneficial to me... I feel the void in my soul being filled!"
A voice, deep and ethereal, mixed with intense excitement.
This Divine Life rarely expressed such strong emotions.
Lear’s eyes lit up.
The Undead Plane truly is a sacred ground for necromantic beings...
"No rush, let’s go out and have a look first."
As his words fell, the Shadow of the Mist silently unfurled behind him, its faint mist covering his body, carrying him aloft, flying straight toward the city wall.
The Flesh Butcher was also enveloped by the shadow, following him.
The ornate, rugged, deathly quiet architecture quickly swept past underneath, the entire fortress silent to the point where even one’s breathing sounded overly loud.
Crossing the thousand-meter castle, they landed atop the city wall.
Standing firm, they gazed out.
In front was a vast expanse of land, covered in pitch-black soil, shocking in that every inch of land had scattered bones.
Intermingling with one another.
In the Undead Plane, there was never a shortage of necromantic presence, these pervasive bones often naturally reanimating, nurtured by the necromantic aura.
Outside the city, the necromantic energy was even more intense.
It felt as if an average person in such a place wouldn’t make it a hundred meters before becoming a zombie...
As he observed, on the horizon, a disordered team of Skeleton Warriors suddenly appeared, four to five Squadrons.
But these undead clearly had no Hero to command them, moving aimlessly and randomly forward.
Not far along, seven or eight skeletal remains on the ground stirred, then those bones slowly rose, moving their bone heads, stood dazed for a moment, and then marched to catch up, joining this scattered group.
Evidently, this undead army was gathered in this manner.
Seeing this scene, Lear felt a bit sentimental.
Truly befitting the Undead Plane.
But as he watched the Skeleton Warriors slowly approaching the fortress, his gaze shifted slightly.
Unowned skeletons, could they be directly subdued? 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
As he pondered, a rather peculiar scene unfolded—the Skeleton Warriors seemed completely oblivious to the fortress, walking straight toward it.
More mystifyingly, they actually passed through the city wall, even visible traversing within it...
Dimension Space!
