Helen who was being chill through the conversation lost her cool when that accursed name was being called out sending embarrassed fury and impotent rage hearing that long forgotten name.

It was her title name people given to her because she was well used to calling herself mommy in her younger years, why? Who knows? She was young, did a lot of stupid things when she was younger, Going around wearing a mask to fight crime is one of them. I mean she is still younger but more mature. She is not old, definitely not.

Then people started calling her mommy too, at first she was happy but like all things in life life, Things took turn for worse as mommy name stuck and then her being who she is, was used to act uncaring, arrogant often just do beat bad gals seating on her chair to show off.

Well saw that then she called herself mommy, And as life of frame she got nickname, MommyShortLegs.

Because she did not move from her chair, people thought she was lazy. She was but they can’t call her lazy, so they just started calling MommyShortLegs, as her attack used to land on her before she did.

That is the day she threw away her masked identity and just went to do the family business as that is her wake up call. She thought that name was long gone but then reality hit her in the face.

Her official name in the official government file was MommyShortLegs when she reached the S-Rank.

She was ready to throw hands but well she didn’t, She just refused to respond whenever they called for the emergency, That’s her protest as they refused to change it saying its already distributed to hidden forces, Changing names would risk of revealing their locations and identity and they can’t do that as unlike S-Rank, others are pretty easy to kill.

Gloria just gave Helen a smug smile as she pointed at the undead she was spawn camping, Though they are weak but number be keep climbing up as long as this domain or rather now she paid attention protal keep open.

Gloria knows she can’t destroy the portal as it was definitely created by the S-Rank, Being half-step S-Rank and actual S-Rank, She can’t do anything about it.

Only S-Rank can even have any effect on the other S-Rank, so she just handed stuff over to Helen.

Helen huffed, a rare show of emotions as she looked at Gloria like she us mentally handicapped.

She ignored the direct instructions from the government, just because they used that name, The government actually has someone to hurt her or at least threaten a little bit yet she not give a fuck.

So why does she care about the few undead roaming around? Few people might die but she is willing to make that sacrifice.

Let Nobles go hunt whoever opens this damn portal, If she is lucky she will be able to meet her mother-in-law.....*mental math calculation if Alex age and rough estimates of his mothers age* well it’s just call it in-laws for now.

Anyway, someone would intertwine and she can even get compensation for her losses from the government so she can rip them off, so not doing anything is the best thing for her.

She even gets to send Alia to do some hands-on training and throw Rose in the mix though. Let’s just say to her there is a Zombie apocalypse and throw her fat ass to do some work, what worse could happen, right?

Gloria’s Phoenix flames jumped around the blueish boundary of the portal on the ground as it was vaporizing undead that was calming out of the portal. She looked dead in Helen’s eyes or rather soul as she said with a straight face.

Her reddish orange flames slowly shifted to the reddish blue ones increasing the temperature of the surroundings by a few 10s of degrees celsius.

Those slender fingers of hers casually flicking around controlling her flames as she let it touch the wall of the hospital, not burning it, She has enough control over it, this is just a threat to Helen.

Either she would close the portal or she would burn down the hospital.

Can Helen stop those flames? Of course she can, She can do it while seating down on her nightly custom made comfy bed but she is not gonna because Helen Miller learns from her mistakes.

It’s just that in her recovering state, she does not have much control over her powers. She might blow up the whole hospital herself if she tries to stop those flames from spreading around.

Well she does not care to blow it up or burn it, In either case insurance covering all of it, Rather she would be again gaining money if she just let flames spread around and let the whole hospital burn.

She would be earning more if this hospital burned down then let it keep working for 20 years. It’s funny how that works, huh.

Helen halted in her tracks as she was ready to shoot back looking at Gloria bewildered.

"Yes, She is in this hospital, In my ward, taking care of me."

Gloria just nonchalantly said increasing the temperature of her flames though no surrounding yet to be burned due to her proper flame control with smirk.

"...Is she also awakened, strong one?"

Helen scratched her head or at least her astral projection tried to do, trying to figure out what this woman was actually threatening her with.

"...Unfortunately no, Some birth complications."

Gloria’s guilt of her daughter losing her birthright came out as she looked to the floor as she said, her flames claiming down, lowering their heat.

"So, you are threatening me with your own daughter? Are you perhaps retrarted?"
