Chapter 31: Chapter 31: An Eyesore

"Host, according to my sensors, this fish was stunned by the foul gas coming from your body. Before it kicks the bucket, I suggest you put it into the System Space as soon as possible." π˜§π˜³π˜¦β„―π“Œπ˜¦π’·π˜―π‘œπ‘£π˜¦π“.π’Έπ˜°π“‚

The System was frantic. ’These are all points!’

Wu Yue looked at the fat fish with disgust. "Forget it. After I’m done bathing, the creatures in this area probably won’t be suitable for consumption for a while."

The System let out a sly laugh. "Host, have you forgotten yesterday’s mission?"

Woo~

Wu Yue’s eyes lit up. She looked at the Grass Carp in the river, her eyes gleaming with a green light as she strode into the water. "My darlings, I’m here! Prepare for the baptism of my chemical weapon!"

In contrast to when it was just her little toes, a spectacular scene unfolded when Wu Yue submerged her whole body in the river. The surface of the water was covered with pale white fish belliesβ€”the scene was quite "magnificent."

While collecting the stunned Grass Carp into the System Space, she glanced around nervously, fearing that someone from the tribe might suddenly appear.

"Host, please hurry! Two more fish are about to float away!"

The System shrieked frantically, seeming even more excited than Wu Yue.

After grabbing the last belly-up Grass Carp, Wu Yue began to scrub the deep gray grime off her body with the dry grass she had just brought from her cave.

She spent another point to exchange for a pair of shorts with a less tacky pattern, then pulled some vines from the riverside to wrap around her waist. Finally feeling refreshed, she started walking toward the tribe.

’Whoa, did a wild beast get into the tribe?’

Just as she reached the edge of the clearing, she saw many tribe members gathered in one spot, chattering and discussing something.

"Host, let’s go check out the commotion," the System urged.

Wu Yue was also a little curious. Arriving at the edge of the crowd, she saw that even the Clan Leader was there.

"Yue, over here." Someone tugged on her shorts, and she heard Qingcao’s voice.

Qingcao pulled her to a spot with a better view. "Where did you go? I went to your cave to look for you, but you weren’t there."

Wu Yue shook her still-dripping hair. "I haven’t bathed in a long time. I woke up early today, so I went to the river."

She then looked forward. "So what’s going on?"

Qingcao frowned. "It seems the tribe was attacked today, but the strange thing is, apart from one of the patrolling Beastman being knocked unconscious, no other tribe members were hurt, and no food is missing."

"Clan Leader, what do you make of this?" an elderly Beastman asked with a frown.

The Clan Leader’s eyes were sharp. "To be able to infiltrate the tribe and silently knock out a Half beastman Warriorβ€”this is definitely something only a Beastman Warrior is capable of."

"Clan Leader, even a powerful Beastman Warrior couldn’t just casually infiltrate our tribe."

The female who spoke had a soft, gentle voice, like a feather tickling your ear, causing a slight, tingling itch.

Wu Yue couldn’t help but dig a finger in her ear, then she stood on her tiptoes to look into the center of the crowd.

’Holy crap... Are you kidding me!?’

’Talk about being disillusioned.’

’Today, she had truly experienced it. All she could say was, be careful who you meet online. The one with the sweet, soft voice isn’t always a cute girlβ€”sometimes, it’s a six-foot-tall Female Vjra.’

She dejectedly rubbed her slightly reddened eyes.

Seeing this, a worried Qingcao came closer. "Yue, what’s wrong?"

’She’d heard that Yue’s health was very poor. Was she feeling unwell again?’

Wu Yue lowered her hand and patted Qingcao’s arm. "I’m fine. It’s just... something’s burning my eyes."

Qingcao tilted her head. "Burning your eyes?"

Wu Yue gave a dry laugh. "I just accidentally looked at the sun, and it made my eyes water a bit."
