Surprise Marriage to a Billionaire-Chapter 368: Create A Scandal
Chapter 368: Create A Scandal
It was another morning, and the unexpected news took everyone by surprise, making waves across not only the business headlines but also dominating television broadcasts in the business segment.
’Vice-Chairman of Lancaster Group, Mr. Alexander Lancaster, announces his plans for a grand wedding ceremony with his wife, Rain Clayton. The couple, who had privately registered their marriage, are now ready to celebrate their union with a proper ceremony. Exclusive interviews with the couple are expected soon to provide more details about the event.’
The announcement left jaws dropping and social media buzzing with excitement. Speculations quickly spread about the wedding’s grandeur and who would make it onto the guest list.
Amid the excitement, questions arose about Carla’s position now that Alexander and Rain’s marriage was being celebrated so publicly. Adding fuel to the buzz, the news completely overshadowed the recent leak regarding the four-month contract tied to Alexander and Rain’s union.
Meanwhile, at the Lancaster Group offices, Tyron and Millet exchanged knowing glances as the phones on their desks buzzed non-stop.
"Did the Boss say which reporters he’d be accommodating for the exclusive interview?" Millet asked with a sigh, rubbing her temples.
Tyron shrugged, looking equally exasperated. "He said he’d accommodate everyone and fit them into his schedule. I didn’t see this coming, Millet, but I guess he’s determined to erase any bad press surrounding Mrs. Lancaster."
Millet frowned, her expression tightening. "There are two Mrs. Lancasters now, Tyron. We should be addressing them by name, Madam Rain and Madam Sanya. Otherwise, it’s going to get even more confusing."
"Right, right," Tyron muttered, nodding to himself. "Madam Rain for the boss’s wife, and Madam Sanya for Sir William."
Millet sighed, leaning back in her chair. "This is going to be a long week."
Tyron chuckled, though it lacked enthusiasm. "Tell me about it. Between coordinating this wedding announcement and managing the fallout from the contract leak, we’ll be lucky if we get any sleep at all."
Millet glanced at her phone, vibrating yet again with another call, and shook her head. "I hope this wedding is worth all the chaos it’s bringing."
"Knowing the Boss," Tyron replied with a small smile, "it will be."
As they continued their work, the public’s attention remained firmly on Alexander and Rain, with everyone eagerly awaiting the next Chapter of their high-profile love story.

Carla was in her dressing room when the news reached her. Her grip on the tablet tightened as she stared at the headline blaring Alexander and Rain’s grand wedding announcement.
With a furious scream, she hurled the tablet across the room, the device smashing against the wall and shattering into pieces.
"This can’t be!!!" she barked, her voice echoing in the stunned silence. Her wild eyes darted around the room, landing on her team.
"All of you, leave!" she snapped, her voice cutting through the air like a whip.
The group scrambled to exit, none daring to meet her gaze. Only Renzo and Maria stayed behind, though their discomfort was palpable.
"Just relax, Carla," Renzo tried to soothe her, his tone cautious.
Carla’s glare could have melted steel. "You leave me alone too!"
Renzo hesitated. "But-"
"Out!" Carla roared, her expression a venomous mix of rage and disdain.
Renzo exhaled sharply, his patience visibly strained, but he didn’t push further. With one last glance at Maria, he turned and left.
The second the door clicked shut, Carla stormed to her vanity and spun to face Maria, her hand snapping across Maria’s cheek with a brutal slap. The sound echoed through the room.
"This is your damn fault! Why can’t you do your job properly?!" Carla hissed, her voice dripping with venom.
Maria staggered slightly but quickly bowed her head, her trembling hands clenching at her sides. "I’m sorry. I will do better..."
Carla’s eyes narrowed dangerously. "Do better? Like what, huh? What’s your genius plan now? The last one failed miserably, and Alexander made me look like a complete fool!" Her words were laced with seething frustration, her chest heaving with anger.
Maria swallowed hard, her lips trembling. "How about... we try to create a scandal? Between you and Mr. Alexander?"
Carla paused, her manic glare fixed on Maria, a sinister smile curling her lips. "A scandal... hmm." Her tone softened slightly, but the malevolence was still there. "Now that might be something worth considering. Alexander is mine."
Maria nodded hesitantly, though the fear in her eyes was unmistakable.
Carla paced the room, her heels clicking sharply against the tiled floor as the beginnings of a plan took shape in her mind. Her smile widened, but it was anything but pleasant, more like a predator preparing to strike.
"Maria," Carla said, her voice low and dangerous, "if we’re going to pull this off, I need every single detail about Alexander’s schedule, Rain’s whereabouts, and anyone they trust. I want leverage. Now."
Maria nodded, her hands shaking as she scrambled to grab her phone. "I’ll get started right away, Miss Carla."
Carla stopped pacing and turned, her gaze piercing. "And don’t mess this up. You’ve already embarrassed me enough with your incompetence. I will not tolerate another failure."
Maria stammered a meek, "Yes, Miss Carla," before rushing toward the door, eager to escape the wrath boiling behind her boss’s eyes.
As soon as the door closed, Carla let out a frustrated scream, throwing a nearby vase across the room. It shattered against the wall, shards scattering everywhere, but it wasn’t enough to release the anger bubbling inside her.
"How dare he!" she hissed, her hands clenched into fists. "How dare Alexander humiliate me like this... parading her around as if she’s some queen! I was supposed to be the one by his side, not her!"
She grabbed her phone, scrolling furiously through her contacts before stopping on a familiar name. She hesitated for a moment, then hit dial.
"Hello?" came the voice on the other end.
"It’s me," Carla said, her tone sharp. "I need a favor. A big one."
She needed a way to trap Alexander. If she couldn’t be happy, neither could they.
