Surprise! I've Transmigrated Again-Chapter 255 ⤞ The Roar of the Weak and the Birth of the Strong
Chapter 255 - 255 ⤞ The Roar of the Weak and the Birth of the Strong
Adam ran toward the deeper levels, though his pace was deliberately leisurely.
He knew why — this was a trial prepared by the Goddess Freya for Bell, designed to rebuild his confidence and help him overcome his deep-rooted inferiority complex.
If everything went according to plan, Bell might even turn this crisis into an opportunity to rank up to Level 2.
So Adam took his time. Even his earlier display of anger had been carefully staged. Liliruca had sought his help in front of everyone, after all. Had he shown no reaction, people would have grown suspicious.
He had chosen to lose his temper at Ottar, revealing just enough of his strength to ward off any potential troublemakers.
This all fell within his expectations. He'd considered warning Bell about being more careful in the Dungeon.
But knowing Bell's trusting nature and naive approach to people, the boy would have immediately told Hestia, exposing Adam's intentions.
After careful thought, Adam had kept quiet. Bell needed to grow on his own, without always relying on others.
What Adam hadn't anticipated was that someone else cared even more deeply than he did.
A strong wind rushed past him from behind, carrying with it a green whirlwind that swept toward the deeper levels. In the blink of an eye, it vanished from the floor.
Only a faint golden silhouette lingered in the air, accompanied by the echoing rustle of that green whirlwind.
It was Ais. She cared more about Bell's safety than even Adam, a member of his own Familia.
This was awkward — it made Adam look as though he were intentionally dawdling, reluctant to help.
He had no choice now but to pick up his pace.

9th Floor.
This was the final floor of the upper levels, closest to the middle levels. Though that might seem obvious, Adam knew this floor held a deadly secret — it was more dangerous than the middle levels themselves.
Monster Parties, Monster Rexes, and other special events occurred here with frightening frequency, far more than on any other floor.
And today was no different.
The floor was eerily empty of monsters. Only two figures remained at its center.
One human, one Minotaur.
Adam arrived to find Bell gripping Ais's hand, then rising to shield her — half-playing hero, half-preparing for his last stand.
"Bell Cranel can't be saved by the Sword Princess anymore!" He shouted.
Snatching up his short dagger from the ground, he charged straight at the Minotaur.
"Uwaaaaah!"
The white-haired youth's battle cry echoed through the chamber as he engaged the Minotaur once more.
Speed clashed against strength — the savage Minotaur against the small youth.
At first glance, it seemed a hopeless mismatch. But when the weak one raised his voice, everything changed!
In that moment, possibility bloomed from conviction!
"Hyaaaah!"
"Mooo!"
Bell and the Minotaur traded blows without pause, their forms blurring together.
Dagger met greatsword, arm struck leg, horn crashed against forehead — flesh pounded against flesh in dull thuds that echoed through the chamber, reverberating in every heart.
"W-what's with this guy..."
"This is Level 1?!"
"No way!"
As Adam observed, other members of the expedition party arrived. Their faces filled with shock and disbelief at the sight before them.
How could a mere "Rabbit" fight evenly with this fierce Minotaur? It defied all understanding.
The battle raged on.
But those with keen eyes could see that the youth was gradually suppressing the Minotaur, relying on his agility that far surpassed the monster's, trying to wear it down to death!
However, this monster wasn't like those mindless small fry. Adam even suspected it had evolved into a Rex, with strength beyond Level 2!
"Mooo!"
The Minotaur roared, raising its greatsword and slashing wildly at high speed.
Its seemingly reckless attacks were actually strategic. With such a robust body, it could survive any non-fatal wounds.
But the fragile human before it was different. One slash from its tremendous strength would be enough to split the youth in half!
A trade — injuries for a killing blow. Just one hit would do!
Or so it thought.
What the monster never expected was that this small human could match its strength head-on! His earlier evasive maneuvers had been merely a ruse!
Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!
Sparks from clashing metal flashed brilliantly in the dark Dungeon.
The Minotaur's greatsword crashed down fiercely, but Bell's divine dagger deflected every powerful strike!
"Mooo!"
This wasn't just the weapon's strength — it was the force deflection technique he had learned from Ais these past few days!
In this life-or-death duel, every lesson learned emerged in perfect form!
'Now's my chance!' As the greatsword descended, Bell attacked from the side.
He cut off the Minotaur's retreat path and wedged his small frame into the opening before the monster's chest.
Bell pressed his right hand against the Minotaur's waist, gathering powerful magic in his palm until it formed a massive spell.
"Take this!"
◈ Firebolt ◈
"Mooo!" The Minotaur's huge eyes widened.
A deafening explosion forced its massive body backward as crimson flames engulfed it.
But it wasn't enough!
The Minotaur's hide was too tough — even Bell's Level 1 magic only scorched its outer skin, leaving its internal organs unharmed.
It's not over! This isn't the end! What comes next is the crucial step!
He kicked the Minotaur's right hand, knocking its greatsword loose, then seized the weapon in that moment of surprise.
"Hah!" With every ounce of strength he possessed, Bell drove the greatsword straight into its chest.
Squelch!
In the contest between metal and flesh, metal prevailed. Even the Minotaur's tough hide couldn't withstand it. Crimson blood poured from the wound.
The Minotaur had revealed its vulnerability! Bell wouldn't let this chance slip away!
This was his single opportunity to turn the tide — he couldn't afford even the slightest mistake!
His right hand plunged deep into its body as magic gathered once again, powerful spells building within him.
The surrounding air grew thick with tension, like the moment before a storm breaks. Time seemed to stop, breath caught in throats...
Then — like a deadly wave, it came howling forth in flames!
◈ Firebolt ◈
◈ Firebolt ◈
◈ Firebolt ◈
...
Again and again he cast the spell, mechanically draining his magic power until his mental energy was spent — yet still he didn't stop.
Only one could survive this battle! It would be either the monster's death or his own!
Bell understood this with perfect clarity, channeling every last bit of his determination into victory!
"So... so strong..."
"Really strong."
"Who is that person?"
Though he was merely Level 1, though the Minotaur should have killed him instantly, these two warriors had given their absolute all in this life-or-death battle before everyone's eyes.
Somehow, the onlookers had already classified Bell among the Strong. If fate spared him, his fame would spread throughout all of Orario.
This was guaranteed by Finn, the 『 Braver 』!
