Supreme Husband System! & Supreme Wife System!-Chapter 325: Am I going crazy?
Chapter 325: Am I going crazy?
Idan, observing the phenomenon that Arabel had caused, wondered, "Was there a similar phenomenon when I gained my Spirit form?"
No one could give him an answer to that question.
But Idan suspected that the fire field that engulfed a large area was probably the result of this phenomenon, which was accompanied by an outburst of Madness Energy.
"You should thank Arabel for this," Geminia said, without taking her eyes off the spectacle. "If she hadn’t decided to postpone all this, we wouldn’t have witnessed this phenomenon."
"The fact is that I suggested that she try to take on the Spirit Form even earlier. But she refused for some reason and offered to do it here, under your supervision," Idan shared his memories of the conversation they had with Arabel during their return to the city.
"Arabel didn’t even know then that taking on the Spirit Form could cause such a phenomenon. She just wanted Master and the others to witness her achievement, and hoped it would help them in some way."
Milica and everyone else were deeply touched by Arabel’s sincere intention, which eventually turned out to be a boon for them and, perhaps, will help them achieve what they had dreamed of.
After the transformation, Arabel plunged into a strange state.
She began to relive the events surrounding the first Ascension trial. She recalled her childhood spent with her younger brother, memories that were not much different from her real life.
Arabel relived the disaster, the death of her younger brother Arslan, and the sadness she felt at that time. This was followed by her awakening and gaining the Ice Valkyrie System.
After becoming the Awakened One and the Host of the System, she closed her heart, not wanting to let anyone near her. The more time passed, the more detached and determined she became. With her brother’s death, she had no one left who would be dear to her. She was left alone in this world with a cold heart.
And at the end of these memories, Arabel encountered another awakened one— the Awakened One of the fire element, who, as she learned at the end of the Ascension trial, was Idan. He, like her, had lived through his Ascension trial and, like her, was faced with a life different from his real one.
Arabel felt very different emotions when she fought against Idan than she had back then. This time, she knew who the fiery guy she was fighting was. And the longer their fight lasted, the more Arabel wanted it to continue.
However, Arabel was aware that it would end soon. She remembered that moment perfectly.
As she had expected, soon Idan, exhausted, fell to his knees.
Instead of just watching, Arabel somehow took control of her body and appeared in front of Idan. She looked at him with a slight smile on her lips.
"Ha ha ha, — Arabel laughed softly, looking at Idan and feeling a little longing.
"Are you still clinging to him?" She asked herself. "I understand that he became the only person for you who could melt your cold heart."
With these words, Arabel was addressing the part of herself that had survived all these events. The part that was related to her Ice Valkyrie bloodline.
"But you have to understand that these are just memories, — Arabel said. "This is not the real Idan. It’s just a memory that you cling to. A memory that you don’t want to give up."
"He’s not real. The real Idan is waiting for me outside," Arabel said.
She looked at Idan, then at the sword in her hands, and realized what she had to do.
However, instead of doing her duty, she simply released her grip and the sword fell to the ground.
"I’m not going to do this," Arabel said flatly. "If I have to give up something to gain strength, then I’m not ready for it."
As if to confirm her words, something inside her began to resonate.
"Hehe hehe..." A chuckle suddenly sounded from behind her. Arabel turned around and almost fell over in surprise when she saw the visitor. She was facing another version of herself. This version had long pinkish-purple hair and eyes, and had a big smile on her face. It was a crazy version of herself.
"I agree with you," she said.
"I agree too," a third voice suddenly rang out, and Arabel and her crazy version turned around and saw a completely new self. This version had long black hair and black eyes, and numerous dark inscriptions were visible on the body.
Arabel and her crazy version stared at her in disbelief, and then looked at each other, as if looking for an answer to a question.
"I’m new here," said the black version of Arabel.
"What’s going on here?" blurted Arabel, stunned by what she saw.
"Well, it looks like a gathering of sisters," Mad Arabel replied with a smile. "What are you hiding for, come out!"
"Huh?" — Arabel didn’t have time to understand, as she felt that something was separating from her, and soon a fourth version appeared — Arabel with long white hair and azure eyes, with two pairs of white wings on her back.
Unlike the Mad Arabel with her wide smile and the black version that looked a little confused, the new version had a distant and aloof look.
After separating this version of herself, Arabel returned to her usual appearance with long red hair and azure eyes.
She stared at the three separate versions of herself in disbelief, mentally cursing herself. "Am I going crazy?"
"No, sister, you’re not crazy, — three versions of her replied at the same time, as if reading her mind.
"What the hell is this?" Arabel asked, looking at them in disbelief.
Meanwhile, outside, the phenomenon caused by Arabel and observed by the others began to change.
Arabel’s body began to absorb a huge amount of madness energy from the Forbidden Area, turning the snow-white landscape pinkish purple. Following this, black inscriptions began to appear on her body, and black liquid began to drip from them, infecting everything with dark energy.
No one understood what was going on with Arabel, and everyone began to worry.
"Everyone stand down!" — Geminia stopped everyone before anyone present made a rash act and intervened in what was happening.
"The phenomenon is not over yet."
"If you want Arabel to succeed, don’t interfere. Instead, focus and use this chance so that you don’t miss it," Geminia said, seeing that everyone was listening intently. She continued, "Trust Arabel. She can handle it."
