Chapter 307: It’s time!

Feeling that the restrictions of the world had loosened, Arabel began to worry. Her own strength corresponded to the gold rank, and even so, she had not yet reached its peak due to the limitations of the system.

"Facing platinum—ranked creatures alone is madness!" she whispered, trembling slightly in fear.

However, she couldn’t back down. Otherwise, her younger brother, like the rest of the awakened ones, would have been transported to another world, and Arabel did not know what could have happened to him. She couldn’t let that happen! By all means, at any cost.

Sighing heavily and exhaling, realizing that there was almost no time left, Arabel touched the ghost mask that she had put on recently. Remembering what prompted her to do this, she smiled slightly.

After Arabel received the necessary information, Coco, slapping her little paws on her little face, reminded her that she had not put on her mask yet. At first, Arabel didn’t understand why Coco was acting like this, but using a mental link, she caught the insistent word "Mask."

And then Arabel remembered that after she took it off during the transformation into the Ice Valkyrie, she forgot to put it back on.

"Thank you for reminding me, Coco," she thanked the fox cub and, picking her up, kissed her small forehead.

"Shi-shi-shi, — Coco froze at this gesture, and then, clutching her cheeks with her small paws and closing her eyes, she began to giggle.

"System, do you think this will work?" Arabel asked, looking at Coco giggling.

[Yes]" the System replied shortly, understanding exactly what Arabel meant.

"Coco, — Arabel called after waiting for her to calm down. "I have one more request for you..."

Arabel briefly returned to the events that had taken place just a few minutes ago, and returned her focus to the task at hand.

"It’s time!" she told herself, kicked off the ground and, soaring into the air, rushed towards the village, invisible to her eyes, which was hidden under a veil of disguise created by a mysterious artifact.

"The portal is open! Start!" came the authoritative voice of one of the four women. Upon hearing this order, all the other women, who also had mysterious inscriptions on their bodies, although less vivid than those of these four, indicating their lower rank, immediately began to carry out the command.

Most of the villagers were ordinary mortals, and their eyes were glazed over. Only a few came from another world, and they were all beautiful-looking women with the same inscriptions on their bodies.

Following the order, the women began to lead the captive Awakened Ones out. By this time, unlike the mortals, all the Awakened Ones had already come to their senses and did not understand what was happening.

However, due to the unusual handcuffs binding their hands, they were unable to use their power, let alone gain access to their Systems.

Arslan had regained consciousness earlier, like the others, but his thoughts were in turmoil. At first, he couldn’t even remember who he was.

It was only after some time that he remembered his identity and, like everyone else, wondered how he ended up in this place, captured by unknown creatures.

All his memories of the last few hours seemed to be in a fog.

"Arslan," Milena called, noticing that he had woken up.

Arslan looked up and saw Milena Orleans, who was sitting next to him, also handcuffed. Looking around, he realized that he was inside a building unknown to him, locked in a cage with the rest of the guild leaders.

He also noticed other Awakened Ones, among whom he recognized members of his own Guild.

"What’s going on? Where are we?" — Arslan asked Milena, seeing that she, unlike him, had already come to her senses a long time ago.

"You explain it to me!" Milena protested. Then, after sighing and calming down, she decided to quickly explain their situation.

"What? How is this possible?" — Arslan couldn’t believe what he had just heard. "How could I lead so many people into an ambush?"

Arslan strongly denied everything he heard. He couldn’t remember anything like that.

Milena watched with a frown as Arslan continued to deny her words. After all, it was he who called all these awakened ones, including her, to gather in that place. It was only because of his authority that everyone followed him and ended up in this trap.

"You really don’t know?" Milena asked uncertainly, still suspecting that Arslan might be trying to simply drop the charges by denying everything.

"I don’t remember," Arslan admitted honestly, trying to recall the recent events. However, among these memories, there was not what Milena was talking about. All he could remember was returning from the Awakened Association back to the building rented by his own Guild. But everything that happened after that was like a blur, and Arslan wasn’t sure if he had really done something or not.

"System?" — Arslan mentally called out to his System, but to his surprise, his System was silent. And then he was finally overcome with fear.

When all the awakened ones came to their senses, they started whispering to each other, trying to figure out what was going on. Some people noticed that some of the girls in their group were missing.

"Where is Raya?" One of the guys asked the others. But no one answered his question.

Hearing the guy calling the girl, Milena drooped, and Arslan noticed it. freewebnøvel.coɱ

"She’s been taken away," Milena whispered softly so Arslan could hear her. "They took away all the girls who were not "clean"".

The other girls who were not taken away also remained silent. They saw with their own eyes how those women smiled when they took them away, and everyone understood what awaited these girls. Even to their cries for help, none of them could do anything but silently pray that they wouldn’t be taken away either.

"No, no, no," the guy began to deny, looking at the silent girls and beginning to understand what had happened to those who were absent. Not only he, but many others couldn’t believe it, just like Arslan.

Before everyone knew it, they were suddenly overwhelmed by intense pressure. Following this, strange women with inscriptions on their bodies entered the building and began to lead everyone outside with smiles on their faces.

As soon as they were led outside, everyone was horrified to see a huge portal in front of them. The realization that they were about to be transported to another world as prisoners drove everyone to despair.
