Chapter 1094: Chapter 1093: Detecting Something Amiss

Tangtang and Guoguo had been coming to this teahouse for several days in a row, and each time they felt they discovered something new. There were just too many oddities in this teahouse!

Every time they came, they felt that something strange always happened in this teahouse.

Some odd guests often visited this teahouse. They didn’t come for tea; they just sat in their places observing their surroundings, or gathered in groups discussing some big matters.

Whenever Tangtang and Guoguo tried to pretend to be ordinary guests to get close to those people, they were always shooed away, either intentionally or unintentionally, keeping them at a distance.

"Guoguo, I think there’s definitely a big problem with this teahouse! There might even be some big secret hidden here!" Tangtang shared his thoughts with Guoguo, his expression slightly exaggerated, after all, he was just a child, unlikely to have any deep thoughts.

"Yes! I also think there’s definitely a lot of anomalies, I believe once we get close to that table of strange guests, everything will be resolved!" Guoguo nodded, echoing Tangtang’s words.

"But how do we get close to them? Every time we plan to go over, someone comes and drives us away, telling us to keep our distance." Tangtang raised a practical question.

Indeed, the biggest issue right now was that there were too many anomalies in this teahouse, often making Tangtang and Guoguo feel a bit nervous. Now, if they could just get close to those weird guests and overhear some content, they could solve all the problems.

"I’ve got it!" Tangtang said excitedly to Guoguo as if he’d thought of something, a smile on his face as if he had discovered a way to resolve the teahouse’s oddities.

Guoguo looked at Tangtang with a surprised gaze, as he always believed in Tangtang the most, with all his heart thinking Tangtang could come up with a good solution.

"Speak up then!" Seeing Tangtang still smiling mysteriously, Guoguo got a bit impatient, giving Tangtang a push and urging him anxiously.

"What’s the rush! We’ve been watching them in the teahouse for days, seeing what their next move will be, and since we can’t get close to them, we can wait for them to slip up first!" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

Tangtang lifted his head, basking in satisfaction for his idea, "What do you think? From now on, we’ll come every day and get to the bottom of this!"

"Okay!" Guoguo nodded vigorously, as he also really wanted to know what was off about this teahouse. If they could investigate it with Tangtang, it would not only impress Uncle Xu Ke but also satisfy his curiosity.

The two kids immediately set about their plan, observing those weird guests in the teahouse every day.

At first, the teahouse owner found it strange how two little kids came to the teahouse every day just to drink tea.

"Waiter, are those two kids here every day to cause trouble? Or just to drink tea?" The teahouse owner couldn’t hold back anymore and asked the waiter. She felt those two kids weren’t there just to drink tea; as such little kids, they wouldn’t understand tea drinking, thinking they were just there to create chaos.

"I’ve been watching them for a few days too, they’re well-behaved, order a bowl of tea and it lasts them all day, they aren’t causing any trouble, maybe they are really here just to drink tea, or it could be that they find the stories told in our teahouse captivating and come every day to support us!"

The waiter shook the cloth in his hand, chatting with the teahouse owner while working. They were just two kids, how much trouble could they cause? The waiter just felt the owner had become a bit paranoid recently, even suspecting two children.

"I see, maybe the storyteller really got their attention. In any case, two kids aren’t likely to cause any serious trouble."

The waiter’s few words dispelled the owner’s doubts in an instant, and indeed she realized she had been a bit paranoid in recent days. She shook her head and instructed the waiter to get back to work.

But neither the owner nor the waiter realized that these two kids were watching the teahouse every day, and their teahouse had already been under observation for quite some time.

The plan was going smoothly, Tangtang and Guoguo were about to approach that table of people when suddenly, one day, a burly man appeared before them.

"Are you Tangtang and Guoguo?" the burly man asked the two children facing him.

The two kids had never encountered such a scene before and were somewhat frightened, nodding slowly. Tangtang was the first to react, standing protectively in front of Guoguo, spreading his arms to let Guoguo stand behind him.

"Who are you? What do you want?!" Although Tangtang questioned the man in front, his voice trembled slightly, already terrified.

"I don’t want anything, just someone asked me to tell you to go to the suburbs, where you’ll find what you’re looking for." The man left these words and then turned away.

Tangtang and Guoguo watched the man’s departing figure, exchanging puzzled looks. What did that mean? Go to the suburbs?

"Should we go?" Guoguo asked Tangtang hesitantly, waiting for Tangtang to make the decision, fearing that if something really happened, how could two kids handle it?

"Go! Why not! He said there’s what we’re looking for there, what if it’s true? Don’t be afraid, Guoguo, I’ll definitely protect you!"

Tangtang firmly pulled Guoguo’s hand, making up his mind. After all, the man hadn’t harmed them, maybe what he said was true.

So Guoguo let Tangtang lead him in this decision, then nodded.

Thus, the two children headed to the suburbs, where there was only an old, rundown factory. They stood outside, hesitating whether to go in when suddenly a voice called them inside.

"Tangtang, Guoguo, you’re here? Come on in."

The two kids followed the voice inside, realizing it was an uncle they’d seen outside before, who had always been kind to them but kept to himself. Could it be that he had sent the burly man?

The uncle saw the doubt in their eyes and explained proactively.

"The people in the teahouse have a conspiracy, they are involved in shady dealings, and upon unwittingly learning about your investigation, they wanted to lure you here to kill you. Truly vicious, not even sparing children like you. Luckily, I happened to pass by and hear your names, otherwise, the news of your demise would have been out soon."

After hearing this, Tangtang and Guoguo gasped. Fortunately, the uncle was there, or today they might have perished here.

The two quietly decided that such a big secret in the teahouse must be told to Uncle Xu Ke!
