Supreme Dragon Lord-Chapter 311: Split Up!

The moment the words were spoken, Cai Bin and Wang Chong attacked Chu Lingjun.

With a sweep of their hands, the massive boulders nearby trembled, then levitated into the air and shot toward Chu Lingjun.

Seeing this, Chu Lingjun’s delicate brows furrowed slightly. She took a step forward as a terrifying aura erupted from her, lifting her into the air.

She swung the Gold Chant Sword. A brilliant golden light erupted from its blade.

SWISH!

The golden light pierced straight through the boulders. The massive stones, which had been hurtling toward Chu Lingjun, suddenly split in half and crashed to the ground.

After accomplishing this, Chu Lingjun fixed her icy gaze on Cai Bin and Wang Chong. She didn’t stop, pressing her attack against the two men. Swinging her Gold Chant Sword repeatedly, she unleashed several streaks of golden light. The fierce Sword Qi blasted continuously toward Cai Bin and Wang Chong.

"Futile resistance!" Cai Bin barked coldly, dismissing her attacks entirely.

Even though Chu Lingjun’s bloodline was activating, granting her a temporary burst of immense power, it was useless. With a casual wave of his hand, a Defensive Barrier materialized before him. As the streams of Sword Qi struck it, they simply dissolved, leaving the barrier completely unharmed.

"Enough playing around, take her down!" Wang Chong roared and threw a punch as his Battle qi erupted. He commanded the surrounding lake water to instantaneously form an azure dragon, which charged at Chu Lingjun with terrifying force.

Facing the charging dragon, Chu Lingjun remained calm. She leaped high into the air, raising her Gold Chant Sword. Gathering all her Battle qi, she cried out, "Dance of the Phoenix!"

At her cry, a golden, flame-spewing phoenix shot toward Cai Bin and Wang Chong.

BOOM!

The dragon and phoenix collided. A violent roar erupted from the impact, a sound so piercing it threatened to shatter one’s eardrums.

After a moment’s stalemate, Chu Lingjun could no longer hold on. A powerful shockwave sent her flying.

Startled, Long Chen saw Chu Lingjun about to crash to the ground and rushed toward her. He reached her just in time, catching her securely in his arms.

Chu Lingjun’s face was deathly pale. Her internal qi and blood were in turmoil, and she coughed up a mouthful of blood. The single exchange had left her with a severe internal injury.

"Lingjun, how are you?" Long Chen asked urgently.

Chu Lingjun endured the intense pain and forced out, "Go! Quickly!"

Long Chen nodded immediately, carrying Chu Lingjun as he fled at top speed.

Meanwhile, Cai Bin and Wang Chong were stunned. Although they had severely injured Chu Lingjun, her attack had still forced them back a step. This was completely unexpected and far more shocking than they had anticipated. They exchanged a look, each seeing a fleeting flash of surprise in the other’s eyes.

Cai Bin’s face broke into a grin. "This woman’s constitution is highly unusual. If we can subdue and cultivate her for Xuanyue Valley, she’ll be a tremendous asset!"

Wang Chong’s eyes brightened. "You’re right. Let’s capture them quickly, before there are any complications. The sooner this is settled, the better!"

Cai Bin nodded, his expression turning serious. Seeing Long Chen and Chu Lingjun fleeing, they dared not delay. They immediately gave chase at full speed, afraid of letting these two great treasures slip through their fingers.

Carrying Chu Lingjun, Long Chen frantically circulated the Battle qi in his body. He had only one thought: escape this place unharmed.

Chu Lingjun glanced back and saw Cai Bin and Wang Chong in relentless pursuit, closing the distance at an alarming rate. Her expression became grim.

She knew that if this continued, she and Long Chen would eventually fall into their hands. Then, they would be completely at their mercy. Realizing this, she looked up at him. "Long Chen, we can’t go on like this. Otherwise, neither of us will escape."

Long Chen nodded. "You go first. I’ll cover our retreat!"

Chu Lingjun shook her head. "They’re working together. Even at our peak, we’re no match for them, let alone in our injured state."

Long Chen immediately understood. "You want to split up?"

"Exactly," Chu Lingjun nodded. "The power I just displayed must have piqued their interest. If we separate, they can’t team up on us. It gives us a fighting chance!"

"But..."

Long Chen knew it was a good plan, but he was still worried for her safety. Before he could finish, she cut him off. "No ’buts’. You don’t actually want us to die at their hands, do you?"

Long Chen fell silent. In this situation, they truly had no other choice. They had to take the risk and fight for that slim chance of survival.

"Be careful!" Long Chen shouted.

"You too!" Chu Lingjun replied, giving him a deep look before veering off in another direction.

Worry filled Long Chen’s eyes. You have to be safe. Nothing can happen to you!

Cai Bin and Wang Chong paused when they saw the two separate. Wang Chong’s brow furrowed. "They’re trying to split us up."

Cai Bin, however, scoffed. "Ridiculous. Do they really think a petty trick like this will let them escape? How naive! Even if we split up, they’re both seriously injured. They pose no threat to us whatsoever. In the end, there’s only one outcome for them: a dead end!"
