Supreme Couple In Apocalypse: Undead King & Demonic Queen-Chapter 133: Task, Conditions
Mirenda rolled her eyes. "It's still an overkill. He might not even survive."
"He will survive," Lilith snorted.
"Yo, what are you cooking for me?" Erix interrupted as he heard about the not surviving part.
"That's right. At least explain to us first," Rin said, her expression speechless at their talk.
"I already told you," Lilith charmingly smiled. "We need to collect some resources to manifest a good bloodline for Erix."
"Actually," Mirenda said, attracting Lilith's gaze as she continued, "I can give that to you, but I also need something in exchange."
"What?" Lilith raised her eyebrows.
Mirenda cleared her throat.
"Rin and Erix had just entered Noble order rank, so they can finish a task for me in exchange for a Leaf of Life crystal. And-" Mirenda sharply smiled before continuing, "-If they fail to do the task…Lilith, you will have to use your prowess to destroy someone, a powerhouse at the peak of Royal order."
"Deal."
"So, what's the task?" Rin asked.
"Come with me."
Mirenda went out of the circular wooden room and arrived outside on a large tree branch.
Taking out a wooden carriage with a round beautiful leaf wagon.
Entering inside, Mirenda invited others, "The event tournament will start in five hours. Let us hurry. I'll explain the task on the way."
"Where are we going?" Lilith asked.
"Inner Domain, Blue Maw Trench."
Everyone entered inside the carriage before it started flying in the north, towards the Inner Domain.
"The task is simple," Mirenda started speaking before anyone could ask.
"The event starting in Blue Maw Trench was initiated by Savage Maw House, a guild led by a peak Royal-Powerhouse."
"Don't tell me he got a custom event card?" Lilith interrupted Mirenda, her eyes narrowing.
"He did, and he chose the fucking Ascendency stone" Mirenda looked visibly irritated as she spoke.
"That trash," Lilith muttered, "How long was he stuck at the peak of Royal order?"
"It's been five years. He is growing out of patience with the futile attempts he had been making."
"So, what can we do in this event?" Erix asked.
"Custom event cards are, in a sense, the most valuable item in an Abyss," Mirenda waved her hand as some words appeared in the air before Rin and Erix.
"With a custom event card, you can decide an event and its ultimate reward, and these three are the best rewards one set as the event's ultimate reward."
Revival Ticket.
Overhaul Scroll.
Ascendency Stone.
"Ascendency Stone stone will allow you to break through to the next rank as long as you have reached the peak of your current rank." ƒreewebɳovel.com
"But the most important reward is Revival Ticket, as you can see. It allows you to revive anyone if thirty days haven't passed since their death," Mirenda explained.
"What?!"
Rin and Erix were startled.
Lilith smiled and added, "And if you die while the Revival Ticket is with you, you can choose to revive and even teleport somewhere to a place you have visited before."
"That is indeed the best reward," Erix said.
Rin nodded.
"But here's a catch," Mirenda softly laughed, "Everyone can participate in the event, even if it was you who got the event ticket. And if you win the event at first rank instead of the one who initiated it, you can choose to change the reward."
Rin and Erix were shocked. This event card was such a nasty yet tempting thing.
"Also," Lilith said, "Unlike the Death Circus event where there can be multiple winners for the final reward, the events in Event Ticket are competition with only 1st rank getting the ultimate reward."
"That is why this task is hard for you two," Mirenda said with a smile. "The event is called Chaos Race, and it's one of the easiest events in a way. The participant entry is set to Noble Order by the leader because he wasn't confident of winning the event if he set it at Royal order."
"If he set it at Royal order, would you two participate?" Rin asked.
Lilith grinned. "If he set participant entry at Royal order, I could win any event at first rank."
"With your current prowess, you indeed can," Mirenda wryly smiled as she glanced at Erix.
"So you want us to win this event and change the reward to something else?" Erix inquired. "Revival Ticket?"
"I want Overhaul Scroll," Mirenda smiled. "Revival ticket is good, but Overhaul Scroll is no less valuable."
"These rewards have different value in different people's minds according to their situation," Lilith said with a chuckle, "Leaf of Life Crystal is more valuable than these three rewards for me."
"I need an Overhaul Scroll, so I am willing to part with a Leaf of Life Crystal if you can win the event," Mirenda said and nonchalantly continued, "But if you fail, Lilith will have to kill the leader of Savage Maw House before he uses the Ascendency Stone stone."
"Fine," Lilith leaned back and put a leg over another before crossing her arms, "I'll save your ass by killing him if his subordinates win the event."
"Is this leaf of life crystal really that important?" Erix wryly smiled.
"It's the best catalyzation of life available here, and as I said, more valuable than those three rewards in my eyes," Lilith charmingly smiled at Erix. "You need it."
"Alright, we'll participate," Rin said, expression firm. "If Erix can manifest a very powerful bloodline with your plan, I am on it."
"That's the spirit," Lilith chuckled and winked at Erix, "Anything for him, right?"
"Of course," Rin grinned and put her hands on Erix's shoulder before leaning closer and kissing his cheek, "Anything for my darling~."
Erix felt a warmth that he would always welcome and never get tired of.
"You mean our darling, right?" Lilith pouted and appeared beside Erix before grabbing his arm into her chest and leaning towards him.
"Fine, fine. Our darling," Rin rolled her eyes.
Erix laughed and put his arms around them before saying, "Either you are going to make me cry, or I am gonna make you moan. Choose."
Mirenda dryly chuckled hearing them.
"We'll have a competition," Rin playfully grinned as she challenged Lilith. Whoever moans louder loses."
Lilith smirked.
"Fine, bring it on."
