Suppressing the Protagonist in the Start to Seize the Heroine-Chapter 219: New Member
Chapter 219: New Member
As soon as Su Lin and Qin Jiuyue left, Qin Gong arrived relatively. He paced back and forth at the entrance of Qin Jiuyue's courtyard, hesitant to enter for fear that she would challenge him to another sparring session.
“Qin Gong, what are you doing standing at the entrance of Xiaoyue's courtyard?” someone asked.
Qin Gong awkwardly smiled and replied, “I came to call the young master and Xiaoyue to the inner courtyard.”
“They've already left.”
“Left?”
“Yes, why do you think we dared to come out?”
Qin Gong looked at the corridor filled with a few older faces smiling wryly, realizing that everyone was in the same boat, having been thrashed by Qin Jiuyue one by one.
Suddenly, it dawned on him, and he slapped his forehead, “Oh no, they're gone already. What about the old master?”
Unaware of Qin Gong's request for him, Su Lin was driving Qin Jiuyue straight to his villa. Upon arrival, he showed her around, “This is my room, and the ones next door belong to Xiaowan and Xiaoyu. The rest are vacant, so feel free to choose, Xiaoyue Sister.”
Still unable to grasp the reality of her grandfather letting Su Lin take her away, Qin Jiuyue asked, “My grandfather really let you take me away?”
“What else? If he hadn’t asked me to take you, do you think we could leave without anyone stopping us?” Su Lin chuckled.
He could sense the strong presences in the inner courtyard, all of whom dared not show themselves, which indicated how much they feared Qin Jiuyue.
“That's true, but...ugh, Grandpa didn't even say goodbye, how annoying.”
“Isn't it because he was scared by your needles? Now everyone in the Qin family is afraid of you. Just choose a room quickly.”
Qin Jiuyue looked around, “Since the rooms on either side are taken, there aren't many choices left. I'll take this one then.”
“Alright, I'll call Qin Gong later to have your things sent over.”
“Okay...” Qin Jiuyue seemed somewhat sulky, clearly not yet over the fact that her grandfather had Su Lin take her away. But Su Lin understood her feelings; he would feel the same if he were in her position.
An hour later, Qin Gong personally brought Qin Jiuyue's belongings over.
“Qin Gong, why did you come yourself?” Su Lin was surprised to see him.
“What could I do? You left so quickly I couldn't catch up,” Qin Gong said with a grimace.
“Is something the matter?”
“Of course, I told the old master about your ability to dispel the chill, and he wanted your help.”
Su Lin waved him off, “Tell the old man it'll be fine by tonight, no need for me to come by.”
“Will tonight be fine?”
“Yes, just say that and it'll be fine.”
“Uh… okay.”
Now that he knew of Su Lin's capabilities, Qin Gong was much more respectful and didn't dare to be as casual as before. If Su Lin was unwilling, Qin Gong had no choice but to comply.
“Su Lin, come help me with these boxes,” Qin Jiuyue called out, handling one of the numerous boxes more agilely than several men, which was both comical and impressive.
Shaking his head, Su Lin went to help. After some effort, they managed to get all the boxes into the villa, and Qin Gong quickly left with his crew.
“In just a week, you've managed to frighten Qin Gong and the workers to this extent. Xiaoyue, you're truly unrivaled,” Su Lin commented tantalizingly.
“He's just a scaredy-cat. I've stopped sparring with him already. He can't even keep up with me; it's like hitting a motionless target. No fun in bullying him, and at his age, still acting pitiful,” Qin Jiuyue pouted.
“Ha! I think he's not just acting pitiful; “he really is pitiful,” Su Lin laughed.

“No way, it's not as exaggerated as you think. Trust me.”
Su Lin nodded seriously, “I believe you, I believe you.”
“Cut it out, you obviously don't,” Qin Jiuyue huffed and then headed upstairs to unpack.
Watching Qin Jiuyue ascend the stairs, her slender figure swaying enticingly, Su Lin felt a stir in his heart and followed her up.
“Su Lin, why are you here? It's messy, I haven't tidied up yet.”
“First, I'll help you settle in, then we can clean up the room.”
“Ugh…”
It wasn't until evening that Su Lin left Qin Jiuyue's room.
That night, Xiaowan and Xiaoyu returned home.
“Su Lin, you're already home?” Xiaowan asked as she saw Su Lin sitting on the couch.
“Any issues at work?”
Xiaowan shook her head, “There's too much going on at work to add more.”
“Have you eaten? I made dinner…”
Licking her lips but feeling deflated, Xiaowan added, “I already ate at the office. What got into you to cook today?”
Su Lin grinned, “Because we have a new member joining us today.”
“New member?”
Both Xiaowan and Xiaoyu looked puzzled.
“Yeah, Xiaoyue, come down for dinner.”
“Oh, coming, coming.”
At Su Lin's call, the bedroom door next to Xiaowan opened, and Qin Jiuyue appeared, yawning and tousled, looking quite dazed.
Xiaowan and Xiaoyu stared at Qin Jiuyue, who also looked back at them.
“Ah... Xiaowan, Xiaoyu, when did you get back?” After shooting Su Lin a glare, Qin Jiuyue turned and went back inside her room.
Su Lin turned, shrugged, and said, “Our new member is her.”
Xiaowan's eyes widened, then she asked, “Su Lin, how did you manage to bring Sister Xiaoyue here? Did her family agree?”
Everyone knew Qin Jiuyue was the favored legitimate daughter of the Qin family, who was doted on immensely. It was unlikely her family would let her leave so easily.
Su Lin chuckled, holding back his laughter, “It’s a long story. How about we have some late-night snacks while I tell it?”
“Alright, I’ll just eat a little,” Xiaowan said, touching her slim belly.
“I… I think I’ll pass. I ate too much at dinner,” Xiaoyu felt she had gained weight recently.
As they were about to discuss further, Qin Jiuyue descended the stairs, ready to join the unexpected family gathering.
