Supernatural Insight Eyes-Chapter 1906 - 1907: The Death of the Shadow Prince
Three days later, Ye Qiu returned to Luohé City. When Master Cang saw Ye Qiu bring a woman back, he knew Ye Qiu had successfully rescued someone.
When Shangguan Mingyue removed the white veil covering her face, Master Cang couldn’t help but be stunned, astonished by Shangguan Mingyue’s enchanting beauty.
"No wonder you, Brother Ye, went to rescue her. If it were me, I wouldn’t hesitate either." Master Cang teased.
Ye Qiu introduced Shangguan Mingyue briefly, and Shangguan Mingyue bowed slightly, softly saying, "Master Cang."
"Like with Brother Ye, you can call me Elder Brother Cang. As for you, I should probably call you Sister-in-law." Master Cang joked. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Shangguan Mingyue blushed slightly and said nothing, but Master Cang could tell Shangguan Mingyue was infatuated with Ye Qiu.
"A perfect match of handsome hero and beautiful lady," Master Cang clicked his tongue, looking at Ye Qiu and Shangguan Mingyue.
Regarding how Ye Qiu rescued Shangguan Mingyue from the Shadow headquarters, Master Cang did not inquire in detail. Ye Qiu bringing Shangguan Mingyue back was evidence enough.
"You two must have plenty to talk about. Go rest; I won’t disturb you." Master Cang laughed heartily, leaving them some space.
Shangguan Mingyue’s alluring eyes glanced at Ye Qiu, which let the wild horse in Ye Qiu’s heart break free, and he instantly pounced on Shangguan Mingyue.
That night, the wild horse galloped across the vast prairie, with the sounds of nightingales echoing repeatedly.
...
News of Ye Qiu’s return to Luohé City was known only to Master Cang, even Bai Lingtian was unaware of Ye Qiu’s return.
The quiet Luohé City suddenly became lively with the explosive news, sparking heated discussions among Martial Artists.
The Shadow heir, Young Master Di, had died!
The Shadow organization is widely recognized as a major force, its influence spans the ancestral land, feared by many.
However, a power like that lost their heir in a single night. Young Master Di, who was hailed as the future Sect Leader of Shadow, was killed.
The news spread not just throughout Luohé City, but the entire ancestral land heard about it.
In Luohé City, many Martial Artists, from the young generation like Zhang Yunke, Song Qinglong, Luo Shang, or Saints like Bai Lingtian, were all concerned with this event.
Who killed Young Master Di? This certainly offends Shadow completely; once discovered, a fierce confrontation is inevitable.
Many are curious about who this ruthless person could be, especially since Young Master Di, as Shadow’s successor, should have had Protectors, what led to his demise?
Speculation is abound with dozens of theories, but everyone knows Young Master Di’s death will surely create a huge storm.
Shadow’s people are going to be frantic.
Upon hearing this, Bai Lingtian immediately thought of Ye Qiu, as Ye Qiu planned to rescue someone from Shadow.
"Could it really be Brother Ye?" Bai Lingtian was unsure, but suspected it had something to do with Ye Qiu, prompting him to rush to Master Cang’s residence.
Seeing Ye Qiu intact before him, Bai Lingtian was nearly certain Ye Qiu was responsible for Young Master Di’s death.
"I worried you, Elder Brother Lingtian." Ye Qiu was touched seeing Bai Lingtian come rushing over as soon as he heard the news, concerned for his safety.
"I’m just glad you’re alright. But I’m still unsure, was Young Master Di really killed by you?" Bai Lingtian asked.
"If I say it wasn’t me, would you believe it, Elder Brother Lingtian?" Ye Qiu replied.
"Since you say it wasn’t you, it surely wasn’t." Bai Lingtian truly believed him, as evident from his eyes.
"Thank you for your trust, Elder Brother Lingtian." Ye Qiu said.
Ye Qiu was indeed surprised when he heard Young Master Di had been killed, although he predicted it.
Unlike others, Ye Qiu knew the truth, being one of the few who witnessed Young Master Di’s murder.
The Black Fiend Sect did kill Young Master Di, officially challenging Shadow.
Upon dispelling his confusion, Bai Lingtian noticed Shangguan Mingyue, stunned by her beauty, praised, "What an enchanting lady."
"I had imagined marrying my daughter to Brother Ye, but now it seems impossible." Bai Lingtian sighed.
Shangguan Mingyue glanced at Ye Qiu, making him awkwardly explain, "Elder Brother Lingtian is joking, Mingyue, don’t mind it."
Yet Shangguan Mingyue ignored Ye Qiu’s explanation and started poking fun.
Provoking laughter from both Master Cang and Bai Lingtian.
...
Young Master Di’s death impacted Shadow the most, and Ye Qiu had no interest in the Shadow and Black Fiend Sect rivalry, as he was heading to Qingfeng County with Shangguan Mingyue.
Upon seeing Zhang Shanfeng, Shangguan Mingyue was surprised, as she had seen him before. Now meeting again, she didn’t expect Zhang Shanfeng would choose to follow Ye Qiu.
On the journey to Qingfeng County, Ye Qiu shared his experiences of arriving at the ancestral land, telling the story of ascending to the moon and using the teleportation array to reach the ancestral land. Shangguan Mingyue was incredibly surprised, persistently asking if there was a Guanghan Palace, if there was Chang E, if there was a Jade Rabbit Spirit on the moon.
Ye Qiu laughed it off, saying they were fictional, but Shangguan Mingyue didn’t believe him; Martial Artists can become immensely powerful, so having Chang E on the moon wasn’t impossible.
"You must be lying. Tell me, have you seen Chang E and just don’t want to admit it?" Shangguan Mingyue insisted.
Ye Qiu was helpless as he truly hadn’t met any Chang E.
After their playful banter, Ye Qiu shared more of his journey after arriving, like joining the Dan Shen Sect, becoming Sect Leader, and growing the sect, but he glossed over fights with Saints, attributing it to the Taikang Bell, to avoid worrying Shangguan Mingyue too much.
Finally, Ye Qiu held Shangguan Mingyue in his arms: "Although I’m not invincible, I will never let you be harmed again, trust me."
"I trust you," Shangguan Mingyue softly replied.
The tender moment lasted only seconds as Shangguan Mingyue suddenly asked, "Is Saint Lingtian’s daughter beautiful?"
"Beautiful," Ye Qiu instinctively answered.
Immediately regretting it, Ye Qiu chuckled, "Mingyue, I explained, there’s nothing between Bai Muxue and me, trust me."
"I would sooner believe in ghosts than a man’s deceitful words." Shangguan Mingyue snorted.
"Mingyue, speaking like this doesn’t suit your goddess image."
"So you’re saying you’re upset with me now?"
"It’s true, once a man gets something, he stops cherishing it."
..." Ye Qiu couldn’t find the words to argue.
As the couple bantered, three dragon horse carriages rode into the wilderness, growing smaller as they distanced.
At this moment, the scene encapsulated the vast desert skyline and the setting sun.
