Super Template System In Marvel and Beyond-Chapter 247: Ultimate Spiderman IV
Chapter 247 - Ultimate Spiderman IV
Dave took a second, grabbed a cone from the vendor, handed the guy a $20, and licked it once before replying.
"Neither did you, once upon a time," he said, flashing a casual smile. "But hey, I'm not here to wreck your little dimension party."
Wanda narrowed her eyes slightly. "You're not from any of the timelines I've seen. Not the multiverse branches... you're a blind spot."
"Yeah, I've been called worse. A bug, a glitch, a 'plot breaker' once." He grinned wider. "But today? Just Dave. Here for sightseeing, coffee, maybe saving the world if I get bored."
Wanda didn't smile. "They told me to keep an eye out for someone like you."
"They always do."
There was a long pause.
"You're not going to hurt anyone, are you?" she asked finally, voice soft but heavy with power.
Dave shrugged. "That depends. As long as no one decides to poke the dimensional bear, I won't roar."
Wanda stared at him a moment longer... then nodded slightly.
"Then enjoy your ice cream. Just don't make me clean up after you."
Dave saluted her with the cone.
"You're alright, Scarlet Witch."
She turned and walked away.
Back in SHIELD's Helicarrier, a ping lit up on one of the monitors. Maria frowned. "Wanda just confirmed contact. She said... he's unlike anything she's ever seen."
Fury grunted. "That's the third person to say that today. We keep eyes on him. But if he's playing nice... maybe we don't need to push our luck."
Peter chimed in on the comms from his HQ. "Uh... did anyone notice he's already trending online?"
A video was going viral.
Title: "Is this guy FLYING? Magic Dude saves a cat... from a third-story window??"
Dave just chuckled from a rooftop across town, watching the video on his phone.
"Well... guess I'm famous again."
Dave looked at the cat cradled in his arm, gave it a little pat, then gently waved his hand. A swirl of ethereal mist surrounded the feline before it vanished in a poof—teleporting back to its rightful owner's balcony across the street.
"Not like it's anything bad," he muttered, brushing some fur off his coat. He tucked his hands into his pockets and strolled down the sidewalk, the hum of the city fading into the background as his thoughts turned inward.
"Ultimate Spider-Man... Right, I'm in that version of the world. The one crawling with teenage heroes and symbiote problems."
He narrowed his eyes as he crossed a busy street, sensing a strange shift in energy around the skyline.
"There's Venom here—Flash Thompson ends up becoming Agent Venom. Carnage too... Mary Jane's incident. Then there's Anti-Venom with Harry." He clicked his tongue. "And I bet SHIELD's got at least two more in some lab."
"Wait!" Dave suddenly said as he shook his head. "Damn, how could I forget about Tony this time? I wanted to have his pic from that gender-bender reality," he groaned.
Due to Lady Goblin interfering, he'd been occupied and was forced to miss the chance to meet Tony—or rather, her.
"Damn, it would've been wild to have that pic of Lady Tony Stark and show it to the real Tony," he muttered regretfully, shaking his head as he paused and looked back.
"You can come out of hiding now."
The moment he said that, someone stepped out of the shadows, walking toward him in a white tactical suit with a hood—Taskmaster.
"You know, you could've made this easy," Taskmaster said as he drew his sword and pointed it at Dave. "Come with me. We'd like to ask you a few questions."
"Oh? Like what exactly?" Dave asked casually, not moving.
"Like how you got your powers," Taskmaster replied coldly, his blade aimed right at Dave's neck. "You're edgy."
But before the sword could reach him, Dave tilted his head slightly—and vanished. In an instant, he appeared behind Taskmaster.
Taskmaster's eyes widened in shock. Dave stood calmly, looking at him.
"How did you do it?" Taskmaster asked warily as he wasn't able to see his movements.
"Magic," Dave replied with a smirk. He had already used both body enhancement and concealment magic on himself earlier.
The moment Dave uttered the word "magic," Taskmaster froze—just for a split second—but Dave caught it. His grin widened slightly.
"You see, you might be able to mimic any fighting style," Dave continued, stepping forward casually, "but how do you copy something you don't understand?"
Taskmaster growled, tightening his grip on the sword. "Magic or not, you're still flesh and bone under all that attitude."
Dave tilted his head, almost amused. "You'd be surprised."
Then, with a flick of his hand, the air shimmered around him. A subtle pulse of energy surged outward, knocking Taskmaster back a step—not with force, but with weight. His limbs suddenly felt heavier.
"What the hell...?" Taskmaster muttered, trying to move, feeling sluggish.
"You walked into a suppression field," Dave said calmly. "Crafted it myself. Triggers on hostility."
Taskmaster tried to lift his blade again but found it hard to even raise his arm now. "You think this'll stop me?"
"No," Dave said, raising his palm. A small circle of glowing symbols spun into life. "But I'm hoping it slows you down long enough for you to answer my question."
Taskmaster gritted his teeth as the light grew stronger.
"Who sent you?" Dave asked, his voice now devoid of amusement. "Fury wouldn't have sent you without telling me. So... who else knows I'm here?"
Taskmaster remained silent.
Dave stepped in closer, looking him straight in the eye. "You know what I can do. You watched the footage. So unless you want to be floating ten feet in the air vomiting illusions, talk."
"Like hell I might get scared of something like this," Taskmaster scoffed, brushing off the pressure like it was just wind in his face.
Dave just shrugged. "Suit yourself then."
In the blink of an eye, the magic around his hand flared—and with a subtle wave, Taskmaster was launched straight into the air like a ragdoll. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm
"WHAT THE—!"
The moment he hit peak height, Dave reversed the gravity field—slamming it down.
BOOM!
Taskmaster crashed into the rooftop with a brutal thud, the stone beneath him cracking under the force. He gasped, his suit flickering with damage indicators. He rolled to the side just before a secondary gravity spike could pin him in place.
