Chapter 830 -825 Activation (Part 3)_1
With Finn Lewis’s words, this time there finally was some disturbance among the crowd. Although it was minor, for those Gene Warriors who prized discipline above all else, such a disturbance was enough to demonstrate the profound impact of the matter on them.
“After today, all of you will have the right to choose whether to stay as soldiers in my territory or become ordinary residents. As ordinary residents, I will issue to you all the necessary documents and remove all the characteristics of a Gene Warrior from you. In addition, it is stipulated in the law that anyone who discriminates against Gene Warriors will be punished accordingly.”
“Commander Carlos,” Finn Lewis said, turning towards Carlos Coleman at his side.
“Yes, Your Highness,” Carlos Coleman replied, still shocked by Finn Lewis’s words, but he stood at attention and responded decisively to Lewis’s call.
“Carry out my orders. I will have someone monitor this matter closely. All these decisions are to be communicated to all the human soldiers. If any discrimination occurs, it is something I do not wish to see. Furthermore, there is no place for such people in my territory; they are free to go elsewhere. In my domain, everyone is equal—Gene Warriors are equal to humans, and ordinary people are just as equal to me. Do you understand? Since I have granted ordinary people the same rights as the royal family and nobles, I expect everyone to extend this equality to these Gene Warriors,” Finn Lewis said coldly.
“Yes, Your Highness,” Carlos naturally dared not object, knowing that the microphone in front of Lewis was still on, and that their conversation could be heard by everyone below. Carlos knew that Finn Lewis was establishing his authority and earning the favor of the Gene Warriors, which was why he would not be foolish enough to question Lewis at this time.
...
After hearing Carlos’s reply, Finn Lewis nodded in satisfaction and said, “Remember this: in my domain, everyone is equal. Whether you come from an indigenous planet or you are a Gene Warrior, or even an ordinary person or part of the royal family, as long as you abide by the law, everyone is equal. Perhaps I can’t eradicate all injustice, but I can only try my best to be as fair as possible.”
Finn Lewis knew that absolute fairness and injustice could not be eliminated, but to dare to make the utmost effort to ensure fairness as much as possible was already quite a challenge.
“Fellow warriors, in my territory, no matter where you come from or for what purpose you were created, here I will try my utmost to ensure fairness for everyone. I also hope that we all can ensure that our land remains unharmed by others. Subsequently, individual smart processors will send all of you your personal salaries, relevant information, and social welfare benefits. If you wish to change your name, you may do so; however, once you have processed your identity proof, it cannot be changed.”
Finn Lewis did not say anything further, just concluded his speech and turned off the microphone. Following Carlos, he left the vicinity. After a brief silence below, cheers erupted from somewhere.
Hearing the cheers, Carlos felt a rush of admiration. He understood that by doing this, the Gene Warriors would probably be willing to lay down their lives for Lewis, and they would do it without hesitation—something that certainly no other family territories would dare to do.
The reason was simple: the head of any family could not fully control the entire family. The real decisions were made by the Elder Council. Though the family heads held significant power, daring to do something like this meant risking their position as leader.
Only Finn Lewis dared to take such action, probably because it seemed that the Lewis Family consisted of only him. Naturally, his word was law, and he had an unrivaled grip over his family compared to others.
Although Carlos dared not comment on it, making commoners equal to the royal family and nobles wasn’t much of an issue; it wasn’t too severe. However, making Gene Warriors equal to everyone else—if that news spread, it would undoubtedly cause a huge sensation throughout the entire Federation.
What were Gene Warriors? In the Federation, Gene Warriors were just expendable war commodities, the Federation’s legal private slaves without any human rights. Even their lifespans were controlled by their masters, for whom they could only fight and gain nothing in return.

This was the common understanding across the Federation, including among all Federation commoners. To some extent, they were even less regarded than space pirates. Gene Warriors were considered equal to synthetic robots; to the people of the Federation, Gene Warriors were beasts, mere expendables created for war.
They had neither the rights nor the qualifications to be considered Wisdom Creatures on the same level as ordinary people. But now, Finn Lewis had broken with this tradition. In his own territory, Finn Lewis might not realize what this meant for the Gene Warriors, but Carlos knew.
Carlos was now certain that if anyone dared to harm Lewis in this territory, the Gene Warriors would undoubtedly take matters into their own hands to deal with those individuals. And Carlos thought about the last thing Lewis had said, suspecting that it had a deeper meaning.
That last statement, “no matter where you come from,” implied not only Gene Warriors from his own family territory had such rights but that any Gene Warrior from any other family that came to Lewis’s territory would also enjoy the same rights. Anyone would understand what this meant.
Carlos dared not speculate further, because no one knew what the future held. Each family controlled their Gene Warriors differently, with methods such as the Gene Lock implanted in their genetics. But unlocking the Gene Lock was not difficult. Another method was that almost every Gene Warrior was assigned one or two family members.
Of course, these family members were also Gene Warriors. Once these Gene Warriors had offspring or a spouse, they could unleash unimaginable combat prowess and would have something to fear, deterring them from rebelling. These things, Carlos would not mention, nor would Finn Lewis.
But what was done was done. Today’s events would surely spread throughout the Federation at the fastest speed, and no one knew the impact it would cause. Yet, others had no right to interfere with what happened within Lewis’s territory, as it had become his private domain.
After returning to Carlos’s office, Finn Lewis spoke directly, “Now that all these Gene Warriors are activated, you must hurry and intensify their training, including space mechas, space fighters, and personnel for various positions on battleships.”
