Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts-Chapter 822: Adjustment
The group carefully approached the hill.
They could see aliens scattered across the hill. It might be due to them never getting attacked on this hill anymore after the natural disaster that they were much more spread out instead of sticking to a group like what the aliens they encountered on the way did.
The cat-girl and Sasha took down the scattered aliens quietly. Meanwhile, the rest marked down any strong aliens. They first looped around them while climbing the hill, ready to react if anything went wrong.
Jinwu had been flying around the area, scouting the entire hill. After a while, he returned to Nathan's side.
"How is it?"
"After carefully checking them, it doesn't look good. There are definitely above 1,000… no, it might even be above 1,500 aliens on this hill. I managed to find the exact spot of one warrior class alien, but I couldn't find the second one. Still, my instinct is telling me that this alien is on the hill."
Nathan squinted his eyes. "Where's that warrior class alien?"
Jinwu pointed his wing in a certain direction. "Behind the hill, in that direction. It's hard to describe the elevation, but it should be higher than us."
Nathan glanced back. "How about the plain? Have you taken a look again?"
"Yes. It's just… I could only find two of them. I don't know whether they have one or two more warrior class aliens. Still, if I have to calculate based on the number of aliens as well as the size of the area, I believe there's only one more warrior class alien."
"In other words, we are going to fight five warrior class aliens, huh?" Nathan squinted his eyes.
On the one hand, if each of them had to fight one warrior class alien here, they also had to deal with hundreds of lower-level aliens at the same time, which would be extremely hard for them.
On the way, the reason Selena and Sera could finish off their opponents was due to Alavenya and Flora clearing up most of the aliens on their way. If no one could take care of that job, those aliens would prevent them from attacking or defending.
He knew the threat of quantity after all.
"What are those aliens? Their appearance, I mean."
"The one I saw on the mountain looked like a snake but with a flower head. The two on that plain were similar to the elephant we fought in the mine and a humanoid alien walking with both hands and feet like an animal. As for their size, they are big, big, and small respectively."
After careful consideration, Nathan halted his step. "Alright. Let's kill them now. Our plan will be the same as I mentioned earlier. Depending on the rest of the warrior class aliens, I might adjust our formation. Any questions?"
They shook their heads.
"All right. Let's begin then."
Jinwu immediately flew up as Nathan raised both of his hands, forming an explosive bullet in each hand. He then combined them to create the artillery.
"Go forth!"
He shot them toward the peak of the hill before spreading them. Those bullets then curved down.
"Reee!"
The fluctuation of ena alarmed the aliens as they woke the rest of the aliens up.
Meanwhile, Nathan's Artillery fell upon the warrior class alien, albeit only 5 out of 64 bullets managed to hit while the rest only hit lower-level aliens or just the ground.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
"The aim was off. It only hit a little." Jinwu reported.
"That's what I could do without any sight of the aliens." Nathan smiled wryly.
"But you managed to rile it up."
As if proving Jinwu's words, the warrior class alien suddenly rose into the sky. It opened its mouth like a flower blooming before releasing its unique, echoing voice. "Reee!"
The entire hill immediately woke up, which caused the aliens to respond with their own roar from across the hill.
"We are going back!" Nathan shouted.
All the girls nodded and hurriedly climbed down.
"Fenrir!" Nathan summoned Fenrir and hopped on his back. He then spun his body around and thrust Fenrir to navigate through the slope as smoothly as possible.
Meanwhile, Nathan summoned his bullets and released them in rapid succession, trying to kill or slow down the aliens that chased after them. Some aliens seemed to go so fast that they ended up tripping and rolling down the slope.
At first, it was smooth, but more and more aliens started to flank them from the sides.
Selena and Flora stood on the left side and right side. Their role was similar to Nathan's, but for the sides. Meanwhile, Alavenya was their vanguard, clearing up the path to go down.
"There's a mature class alien coming from the front!" Sera warned them out loud.
"It's not a problem," said Nathan casually.
As he said those words, a black-armored warrior suddenly leaped with her horse and sliced the mature class alien in just a single clash. She was none other than Noelle. Her job was pretty simple: kill any mature class alien approaching them. Noelle's might when fighting against one enemy was overwhelming, so Nathan gave her that task.
"Reee!" The snake-like alien had passed the peak of the hill and started going down, bulldozing everything in its path. It was moving faster than them, but fortunately, they didn't really climb that high, so they should arrive at the bottom before this alien could catch up.
However, there was another problem.
"Raaa!" There was another roar coming from the right.
"!!!" Nathan raised his head and turned to the source of that sound, finding a humanoid alien but without a head. The head was similar to that of the snake-like alien, but instead of jaws, it was similar to that of a tentacle.
This humanoid alien was quite huge and muscular. It carried a huge trunk in each hand and smashed everything in its path.
This was the second warrior class alien they were worried about.
"Heh." Nathan grinned.
"We're out of the hill!" informed Fenrir.
"Shaaa!" The snake-like alien rose once again and sent out that deafening voice as if trying to alert the aliens on the plain.
Nathan hurriedly shouted, "I've made my adjustment. The ones who will take care of the aliens from the hill are me and Alavenya. The rest will take care of those coming from the plain!"
"Understood!"
