Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts-Chapter 636 Trust?
"What we need to do now is to capture Garam Haygaiden. We need to find out their location from him."
"…" Evelyn crossed her arms while Bella said, "In the first place, we're now aware of the possibility of other lands besides this one across the ocean.
"However, what makes you think these enemies are actually still alive? I mean, the volcanic eruption in the original land should be much harsher than this one, right?"
Nathan nodded. "Certainly. However, what makes you think they have died?"
"!!!" Evelyn and Bella raised their eyebrows.
"In the first place, the enemies are strong, right? It happened a few years ago, so I'm sure they've gotten stronger now. Considering they're able to take down the three people guarding the banquet, even with an underhanded method, they should be at least arcane level summoners. Some must be world class summoners.
"If we consider Garam Haygaiden's strength, I don't think it's weird to assume that a lot of them are actually world class summoners, right?
"With such strength, they should be able to escape even if they couldn't fight the natural disaster," Nathan explained.
Evelyn nodded. "Certainly. Besides, there's a possibility that their hometown is not on that land but on another one, away from the volcanic eruption. Even if they suffer the same thing as us, there's still a chance that they are strong enough to survive."
"Indeed. There's also a chance of them actually hiding in this land instead. Either way, the only way to find the answer is to capture the one linked to them." Bella frowned. "But capturing a person is much harder than killing them, you know? Even if Evelyn can fight him, capturing him might be a stretch."
Nathan shook his head. "No. You don't have to care about that. Even if you kill him, I can still use Anubis' ability. I can't guarantee though, due to the difference in our strength."
He couldn't help but wonder, 'Could I actually use a contract on a dead person? What if I use his own body to stamp it so that it binds his soul to tell the truth?'
"Can't guarantee, huh?" Bella sighed. "Then again, the enemy is a world class summoner, so it can't be helped. What do you think, Evelyn?"
"Yeah." Evelyn nodded. "That's the best plan we have right now. In the end, even if it fails, we can simply go to other continents to find out the truth. We have gone around this land to find them, but we can't find them.
"If it's useless, we can always test our luck on other lands. I will try to defeat him, but if it's not possible, I have to kill him."
Nathan raised his hand. "By the way, do you know their faces or something?"
"Oh." Bella exhaled some smoke, which turned into a mirror through Bella's illusion. Then, it started showing one face at a time. "Unfortunately, we don't have all of them.
"According to what we know, there should be at least 15 people attacking us. They don't have equal strength, for example, Daniel from the Divine Hand.
"With the addition of those mysterious creatures, they were able to create that much chaos.
"Unfortunately, we only saw eight of them." Bella sighed, feeling a bit disappointed. If they had seen a few more people, their luck in finding them would have increased.
After some thoughts, Nathan nodded. "I understand. For the time being, we can't do anything other than deal with the Divine Hand. For now, we should continue applying our pressure but not push them too much."
"Now that I think about it, what's the progress of the medicine? They're trying to remove the aliens from the people's bodies, right?" Evelyn asked.
"I'm not sure about that part right now. After all, I've lost my contact right now." Nathan shrugged helplessly. That was right. Sullivan was gone, so the only way to find out the truth was probably to have Flora inquire about it personally or get Leyfon's help.
"Anyway, it seems we're done with the little story." Bella yawned while glancing at the outside. "It's almost dawn already. You should get some sleep. Two or three hours is fine. You've been training a lot, so your body needs a proper rest.
"If you still have any other questions, ask me or Evelyn." Bella waved her hand while walking out of the room. "I need to check more documents after this, so I will take a nap."
"Yes. Thank you for your hard work. Good night." Nathan nodded.
Evelyn, on the other hand, looked at Nathan for a few seconds, making the atmosphere awkward.
"Is there something bothering you, Captain?" Nathan asked with a wry smile.
"Nothing." Evelyn sighed. "I wonder why I end up telling you this story. Maybe I shouldn't have promised you in the first place."
Nathan grinned. "Doesn't it mean you trust me?" Enjoy new adventures from novelbuddy
"Who knows? At the very least, I have only told this story to Revon since he is the first one to join." Evelyn pinched the bridge of her nose. "And there you have it. My life is filled with revenge. That's why you should give up on me. I'm not worth it. I'm unlike others… I'm just an empty shell."
Nathan chuckled. "I don't really care. If you are going to talk about the time it will take for revenge, you don't have to worry about it. After all, if we solve it fast enough, it's going to be fine.
"Even if we talk about everything logically, having an additional world class summoner is always a good thing.
"Besides…" Nathan took a deep breath before making a big smile. "Humans will always try to find a new purpose in their life. We lose a couple of times due to our circumstances, but as long as we don't give up, there'll be a time we will say, 'I'm glad we're still alive,' when we look back."
Nathan's smile felt deep. It was as if he had experienced the same thing as her. That thought alone made his words even more comforting.

Evelyn closed her eyes for a moment. "Get some rest. Once you wake up, go to the lake. I have an idea on how to improve your discharge technique. It should be able to remove the recoil."
