Submitting to My Best Friend's Dad-Chapter 951 : A Decision To Be Made
*Leo*
Today was the day I was finally getting released from the hospital. It couldn’t have come sooner, that was for sure. I was starting to get irritable from the smells of a hospital. Not to mention all the people who came and went all throughout the day and night.
Unfortunately, due to the state of my injury, I was not cleared to fly yet. I had to wait at least another couple of weeks into my recovery.
Luckily, Bianca’s family had invited me to stay with them until Bianca and I could go back to the states. I had to be honest, I wasn’t entirely sure I’d be welcomed back after everything that had happened.
Regardless of how well her family had taken the news of Alessandro, Mia, and myself being in the mafia, it was still surprising to me that Bianca’s mother would accept me into her home again.
Grateful, of course, but shocking, nonetheless.
The nurse brought in a wheelchair for me to leave the hospital in, but I insisted I could walk just fine.
“Leo, get in the damn wheelchair, will you?” Bianca demanded with a smile followed by a stern look.
For her, I gave in. “Fine, but I’m going to hate every second of it.”
“Fabulous,” she replied, sarcastically. “You can pout all you want, but if you want a reward, I suggest you suck it up and be a man about it.”
“Oh?” I raised my eyebrows. “And what would my reward for good behavior be?”
She smiled and squinted her eyes just slightly. “It’s a secret.”
“A secret? Hmm,” I pondered. “Does it involve being naked?”
She giggled as her cheeks turned red. I had forgotten the nurse was still standing by the door.
“Maybe,” she whispered.
I sat down in the stupid wheelchair and painted a wide smile on my face. “Consider me behaved.”
Bianca chuckled as she walked behind me and grabbed a hold of the handles of the wheelchair. She pushed me out of the hospital room and down the never ending hallways. Finally, we reached an elevator.
“Are you sure your mom is alright with me staying with you all?” I asked her for the twentieth time. “I can still get a hotel room.”
“Leo, you’re not getting a hotel room. My mom specifically said you are welcome to come back and stay as long as you need until you can fly home,” she reassured me.
I nodded my head. “All right, all right. I’m just still feeling bad for everything that happened.”
She reached her hands around me and tilted my head up towards her. “Please don’t feel bad for anything. We are all alive and that’s all that matters.”
Bianca bent her head down and kissed me upside down.
“I love you, Leo,” she whispered upon my lips.
I sighed. “I love you more.”
She smiled and rolled her eyes. “That’s up for debate.”
“I’m looking forward to debating that with you later,” I winked.
The elevator door opened and off we went towards the front entrance.
“Please let me walk to the car,” I begged, itching to stretch my legs.
Bianca looked outside and saw our car waiting for us just a few feet away.
“Fine,” she sighed, walking around to help me stand up.
I put my arm around her shoulders and only leaned on her slightly to give her the satisfaction that I needed her help to the car. My wounds ached, but not enough to keep me from walking on my own.
I let her help me inside the car before she walked around to the other side to get in herself. The driver walked the wheelchair back inside the hospital before returning to take us back to Bianca’s mom’s house.
When we arrived, her mom greeted us with open arms. Her aunt and uncle were there, as well, along with their wild kids.
The first thing her mom did was offer us heaping plates of food in which I happily accepted. Bianca sat beside me at the kitchen table until I finished eating.
“So, how are you feeling, Leo?” Her mom asked, filling my glass up with fresh water.
“I’m all right, Lucia, thank you,” I replied. “And thank you again for letting me stay here until I’m cleared to fly.”
She waved her hand in the air. “Oh, don’t thank me, dear. You’re family now.”
I smiled and looked over at Bianca who also had a smile on her face. Once I was finished eating, I went to stand up. Before I could pick my plate up, Bianca swiped it and took it to the sink for me.
She placed my arm around her shoulders and led us to the living room. We sat in front of the warm fireplace while the rest of her family baked cookies in the kitchen.
I quickly took advantage of the fact that we were finally alone. Gently, I lifted her chin and pressed my lips to hers.
“I can’t tell you how much I missed kissing you,” I confessed, quietly.
I felt her lips turn into a smile against mine. “Me too.”
Before I could slip my tongue in her mouth, one of her little cousins came running into the living room.
“Do you want a cookie?” Cesare asked, though empty handed.
Bianca and I exchanged glances.
“Sure,” we both said.
He smiled and ran back out of the living room. Bianca and I laughed as I pulled her closer to me.
“Where were we?” I asked, kissing the tip of her nose.
“I think you were about to make out with me,” she said, biting the bottom of her lip.
I nodded my head, leaning towards her. Before I could kiss her, Cesare was back with a cookie in each of his hands.
“Awe, thank you, sweetie,” Bianca said, taking her cookie from him.
“Thanks, bud,” I added, accepting the cookie.
“Is there a bullet inside of you?” the young boy asked, standing in front of us.
“Cesare!” Bianca exclaimed. “That’s not a polite thing to ask someone.”
I patted Bianca’s leg as I chuckled. “It’s all right.”
“There definitely was a bullet inside me, but luckily the doctor took it out,” I told him.
“Wow!” Cesare said. “That’s crazy. I can’t believe I know someone who got shot. I can’t wait to tell my friends at school.”
Bianca and I laughed. Cesare ran back into the kitchen to finish helping with the cookies.
“These are actually really good cookies,” I admitted after taking a bite.
“My mom does make the best sugar cookies around.” She smiled, already finishing her last bite.
I turned my head and stared for a moment at the hallway.
“What are you looking at?” Bianca asked, moving her head to stare with me.
“I’m waiting for someone else to interrupt our make out session,” I laughed.
She rolled her eyes and crushed her lips against mine. Her fingers ran through my hair as I finally slipped my tongue in her mouth. I bit her bottom lip and gingerly gripped the back of her neck, desperately trying to get as close to her as possible.
However, we were interrupted yet again, but this time from a knock at the door.
“I’ll get it!” We heard Bianca’s mom yell from within the kitchen.
Bianca shook her head and laughed as she let her head collapse against my chest. I kissed the top of her head and whispered to her.
“I’ll get you all to myself tonight, right?” I hoped.
“Of course,” she whispered back.
Lucia came rushing down the hallway to open the front door. Mia and Alessandro appeared a few moments later.
“Leo, you look well,” Alessandro said, walking further into the living room.
“Thank you. I’m feeling better than the last time I saw you,” I replied, sitting up a little straighter.
“I’m glad to hear that,” he nodded, approvingly. “I have some news.”
I glanced at Bianca for a moment, unsure if I should include her in the conversation. However, before I could decide, Mia offered to take Bianca out for coffee. She happily accepted and said she was dying for a white chocolate peppermint latte, whatever that was.
Once Bianca and Mia left, Alessandro took a seat in the chair diagonal from me.
“So, what’s the news?” I asked, bracing myself for the worst.
“We have Michael in our custody,” he said. “He was bleeding pretty bad from where Bianca had shot him and now has an infection from failing to get medical care. He ended up going underground for about a week, but we found him.”
“That’s great news,” I replied, feeling relieved.
“It is,” he agreed. “The only question now is whether or not you want to interrogate him or have my men kill him off as soon as possible.” 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂
I had to think about that for a moment. If I had to be honest, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. Killing him now would be so simple and would put both mine and Bianca’s minds at ease.
However, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have an ich to interrogate him. Find out exactly why he chose to terrorize my family even before I had gotten Elijah arrested.
“Do you mind if I take some time to think about it?” I asked, Al.
“Sure, but I warn you to make your decision fast,” he replied. “With his infection and his gunshot wound, it’s hard to say when that in itself will kill him.”
I nodded my understanding. “I will, just give me some time and I’ll let you know.”
A few moments later, we heard the front door open. Bianca and Mia appeared with a tray full of white paper cups.
“Are you boys finished with your shop talk?” Mia asked, smiling as she went to stand by Alessandro’s side.
“We sure are, sweetheart,” he responded, sweetly. “Are one of those for me?”
Mia kissed Alessandro on the forehead and nodded. “Your favorite.”
Bianca sat down beside me and handed me a white paper cup as well.
“Black coffee?” I asked, hopeful.
She chuckled. “I wouldn’t dare order you anything else.”
I wrapped my arm around her and pulled her into me. “Thank you, love.”
She smiled and kissed my cheek.
“What is your favorite?” I asked Alessandro, curious.
“Oh, you know, coffee,” he replied, casually.
Mia laughed. “Don’t lie now, darling. Tell them what your favorite hot beverage is.”
Alessandro gave her a look that made her chuckle.
“All right, but before I tell you, just know, it’s goddamn delicious,” he said, taking a sip.
“Well, out with it,” I said, looking over at Bianca as I wondered what the heck the fuss was about.
“My favorite drink is a Chai Latte,” he confessed almost shamefully. “It’s like Christmas in a cup.”
I nodded. “I don’t even know what that is, so good for you, I guess.”
Bianca and Mia laughed as Alessandro continued to sip on his Chai Latte. I had to admit, for how everything ended up in a disaster, I was rather grateful for where the four of us were right now.
And soon, I hoped Bianca and I would be back home, sleeping in our bed again.
