Chapter 491
[That could have been a good chance to get rid of him]
‘Shut up.’ Wei Jun replied. He was already quite a bit annoyed but the system was pouring gasoline over the fire to annoy him even more.
Wei Jun once again looked at Xin Huatao. Had be not been to the city, or had the city been evacuated, he would have taken the chance and killed him even if it meant ten S rank beasts invading the city, but since neither of it was done, he couldn’t take the risk. Not to mention, since he wasn’t there, he couldn’t tell what would happen to his companions.
Although he trusted Xing Xiaomei and was sure of her strength, there was always a risk of her or others getting hurt or worse, dying.
Keeping all of that in mind, it was always better to keep his personal matters for later. For now, living took precedence. And looking to his left, he could tell things weren’t so good.
Natasha was heavily panting. She hadn’t touched her water skins since the beginning but seven days into it, everyone was panting heavily. Although the plan was to keep everyone away from each other and everyone had scattered at the very least about fifty miles from each other. It was a blessing the map was infinite so far so there wasn’t a problem so far in that regard.
As for Natasha, Wei Jun decided to stick with her, to make sure nothing happened to her because his care for her went beyond just love. He cared for her even more than his life, or his own livelihood.
“I’m fine.” Natasha laboriously replied. Wei Jun said nothing in return and kept his eyes on her. She knew she was lying, both to him and herself, but that was all she could do at the moment. Lie.
“I’m here.” Wei Jun simply said and turned to look far off in the direction. Even with his stats and cultivation, he couldn’t spot anyone for miles so everyone was truly very much scattered. The equipment from the militray also helped to track everyone’s location so in case a skirmish or a fight were to happen, Wei Jun was prepared to deal with it.
But, none of that mattered. Looking at Natasha in pain, Wei Jun wanted nothing but to stand up and destroy everything in sight, the dungeon and the creator of the dungeon alike. As days passed, his anger towards the creator of the dungeon reach unprecedented heights.
[I didn’t think you’d be so childish, host]
Wei Jun didn’t think so either. He didn’t think he would get angry over a reason like that, one that would have been a fair game to everyone. He was the only one at fault. He was the one who couldn’t control his emotions so the creator of the dungeon had nothing to do with it.
But…
‘I’ll kill him.’ Wei Jun said. Of course, he wasn’t vowing to kill him. He was just angry at the moment so he wasn’t making any decisions. He was just venting his anger the only way he could.
Just like that, the seventh day passed and the eighth day came. The only moment of reprieve for Natasha and everyone else was the night time when the desert was cool but now that the sun was rising once again, and their thirst was becoming more and more unbearable, Wei Jun began to spot changes in Natasha.
Her eyes were losing focus, although not much, but she was losing focus.
She grabbed the water skins, the water she hadn’t drunk even a drop of and threw them towards Wei Jun. Wei Jun grabbed them and looked at her.
“Store them in your subspace.” Natasha laboriously said, “And no matter what, don’t you ever take them out. Even if I die.”
As she said that last bit, a pang of pain assaulted Wei Jun’s heart but he suppressed it and nodded, storing the bottles in his inventory. Natasha took off her shirt, leaving her only in a bra, tore the shirt to make long makeshift ropes and tied her feet, and then her mouth, tightly gagging herself.
Lastly, she tied her hands as well to leave little space for movement. She looked at Wei Jun with a slight plea in her eyes, while there was still some clarity in them. She wasn’t asking Wei Jun to help her, she was simply asking him to hold himself back.
Wei Jun closed his eyes momentarily to calm his emotions, the emotions that were spiraling out of control and nodded after he opened to look into her eyes. As if she was waiting for that signal, she took a deep breath as with a grunt, when she opened her eyes again, they were red.
“Argghh!!!” An animalistic grunt emitted her mouth, her bare skin burning on top of the sand as she tried to push herself away but no matter what she did, she couldn’t. She could only sprawl on the sand, in pain and being burned by the sand.
Though such a pain was nothing to her. The thirst she felt and the pain from not being able to quench it was unbearable.
Wei Jun closed his eyes as he sat cross legged and took deep, deep breaths, trying to calm himself.
He was wrong.
He wasn’t exempted from the trial. This was a trial in itself for him. A trial to see Natasha in so much pain as she tried her hardest to hold herself back from giving in.
Just like that, in the entire day, Natasha had throughly lost herself and moved towards Wei Jun, inch by inch. At night, she fell asleep and Wei Jun finally let go.
“HAA… HAA…”
Loud gasps as he took oxygen in like he was dying from hunger. his hands bleeding from his nails digging into his flesh but the blood evaporated instantly as well so that wasn’t a loophole either.
Finally, now free from those emotions, Wei Jun checked the map and saw that there were a few that were close to each other. He stood up, holding himself back and moved in their direction. He found them soon enough with his speed and they were asleep like Natasha as well.
He picked them up and took them away from each other as well. Luckily, no one had gotten in contact yet but Wei Jun was sure at the pace they were going crazy, it would be soon before they would disregard anything, pain alike, and move towards each other with no regard to anything.
Still, Wei Jun had no other choice but to keep doing so and by the time it was dawn and they started signs to wake up, Wei Jun was done and returned to Natasha only to find her awake and moving south but stopped when he came close to her, becoming her new target.
From the heat of the sand, a good part of her skin had melted and her flesh was peeking out.
It wouldn’t be long before her flesh would follow as well. Wei Jun closed his eyes as he couldn’t help her at that moment. The only saving grace was that he couldn’t hear her voice aside from the animalistic grunts and the similar behavior, otherwise, he was sure, that at a slight word of ‘please’, he would disregard everything and help her.
Just like that, with Natasha trying to get close to him without caring about her tied limbs or gagged mouth, and him moving back every time she was close to him, the day came to an end. On the other hand, Wei Jun checked the map and there were some who were dangerously close to each other.
A clash was imminent.
With no other choice, Wei Jun sighed and took out his water skins. He also purchased a container from the shop and cut its top off with the sword. He emptied his water bottles inside the container and stood back. He picked up Natasha and even though he didn’t want to, tied her with reinforced rope so she couldn’t even move. freewёbnoνel.com
While she was still asleep, he did that to her and finally, after making sure there would be nothing she’d be able to do against that, he stepped back and simply waited. Waited for the morning to arrive.
The water in the container didn’t evaporated like all other liquids but just as Natasha woke up at dawn, she had a strong reaction towards the water.
Almost a beyond human reaction.
That cemented Wei jun’s theory and he took a deep breath.
“They’ll be coming soon.” Wei Jun said as he turned to Natasha who was acting like an animal. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes momentarily. When he opened them again, determination flowed in his eyes and the dormant power of Guardian sleeping deep within his being that hand’t reacted for some time now began to react to his wishes.
“Today,” Wei Jun said as he turned to look at his front where he could see a few people, disregarding everything around them, running in his direction.
“I’ll cease to be a villain.”
