Struggling as a Villain-Chapter 278 - 277- Date(2)
The place where they came for the date was the amusement park under Crimson Clan’s control.
Bella has written in her diary about her ideal date plan.
Despite how apathetic and detached from worldly desires seems, in reality, the girl is quite a romantic person
Someone who wishes for a normal teenage romance by going to the aquarium or amusement park with her partner. Hold their hands, share lunch, and return home with a happy smile.
And that’s why, she brought her beloved here, to live her fantasies.
"From all the places we could have gone, you wanted to be here," Richard spoke with a chuckle as he entered the amusement park, where several other people were present, too.
Since Richard was wearing a baseball cap, and Bella had a different kind of makeup, people didn’t identify them.
"Don’t make fun of me, brother. You also said that it was okay to go wherever I wanted." Bella complained as she pulled and pushed his arm like a child.
She was actually looking quite different from her usual get-up. Wearing a knee-length dark blue skirt with white dots, she gave a very youthful charm. Her long legs were fully visible, which made many men turn to look in her direction.
The girl had a small face with big bright eyes. She has done some makeup and applied rosy pink lipstick that provided her with a refreshing look.
On the other hand, Richard was wearing a black denim jacket over a white T along with black jeans and a pair of sneakers. Unlike usual, when he trains the cadets, he currently was looking like someone of his age.
"Okay, I won’t say anything." Looking at the park, he asked, "So what do you want to do?"
Bella looked around; although she wanted to come here for a long time, she didn’t plan properly for today because Richard suddenly told her that they would be going on a date today.
"How about the haunted house?" Bella suggested, finding it difficult for any other place that might excite them.
Richard shrugged, "Well, we have the all-free pass of the place, so let’s go."
Earlier, Lena gave him the pass which allows them to enjoy any ride and free food within the amusement park. She was even suggesting to vacate the whole place, so her Commander could enjoy the date in peace.
However, Richard said the fun of being at an amusement park is when there are other people as well.
They soon entered the huge dome which was the horror house of the place.
Upon entering, a cold wave assaulted them making Bella shiver a little, as she clung to her brother instinctively.
They slowly moved through the passage provided before a three-way route came up
[The Lost Wind]
[The Last Echo]
[The Cursed Path]
It was actually a choice that allowed the people to choose according to their horror tolerance level.
Those who can only hold against light screaming and some light effects choose the first one. However, naturally, Richard chose the most horrifying one,
"Let’s go on this one."
Bella nodded as they entered the Cursed Path, and inside, the lights turned completely dim.
On either side of the path, some small light bulbs were growing out of the ground to not let the visitors stumble into something.
As they walked further inside, an eerie silence enveloped them. The dim bulbs flickered slightly, casting distorted shadows on the cracked walls. A faint whisper echoed in the distance, a distorted voice muttering unintelligible words.
Bella held Richard’s sleeve tightly, her fingers curling around the fabric.
A sudden gust of cold air swept past them, carrying the scent of damp wood and something rotten. The walls groaned as if breathing and the floor creaked under their steps.
"Someone’s trying too hard," Richard commented, his voice relaxed.
Just as he spoke, a figure darted across their path—a pale, skeletal woman with hollow eyes. She let out a guttural, inhuman wail, her jagged nails reaching out toward them.
Bella didn’t flinch at first. However, after remembering Emily’s advice, she shrieked,
"Kyaah! Save me, brother!"
Richard was amused while the ghost was embarrassed,
’If you aren’t scared, don’t pretend...’ The ghost thought before dashing away and blending into darkness.
Richard softly patted her back and assured her, "I will protect you, so don’t worry." He didn’t say anything about her blatant act and played along.
They continued walking when suddenly, the bulbs above them shattered one by one, leaving them in almost complete darkness. From the corner of their eyes, shadows slithered along the walls like living creatures.
Low whispers surrounded them, the voices overlapping—some pleading, some laughing in distorted tones.
A door in the corridor creaked open on its own, revealing a pitch-black room inside. Then, a raspy breath came from behind them.
Bella turned her head, coming face-to-face with a grinning corpse, its flesh rotting and its lips stretched unnaturally wide. It tilted its head, the bones cracking.
Richard simply stepped forward, tilting his chin down slightly. "You’re blocking the path."
The figure twitched, its eerie grin faltering for a second before it slowly faded into the darkness.
Bella sighed, "At least, allow me to react...."
Richard couldn’t stop himself from chuckling this time aloud. This was more funny than horrifying.
They soon left the horror house; midway, Bella stopped acting since the place was anything but scary.
They finally came out in the daylight before deciding to enjoy a few rides ...but then again, they weren’t exciting at all, for the warriors who can easily travel faster than the fastest rides.
In the end, they were sitting inside the cafeteria while having lunch.
Bella had a sad expression as she muttered, "I...wasted your day. Sorry." Considering how important the training was and the upcoming war, Richard’s each day is very crucial. And she just...*sigh*
"Hey," Richard held her hand, before asking, "Did you enjoy yourself?"
Bella raised her eyes. Under those bright golden eyes, she couldn’t bring herself to lie, "Yes....a lot." To be with him, there could be no better way to spend her time.
Richard smiled at the girl, "Then you need not worry about me. The time when I am with the person I love is not wasted."
Bella shyly smiled ..she was thinking the same thing.
After a bit of pause, she asked, "Umm...after this, can we go just one more place?"
Richard raised his brows, confused as to why she was so hesitant, before he nodded, "Yeah, sure."
