Chapter 703: Only A Matter of Time

The woman looked over her data one last time, and once she was sure that everything was in place, she finally turned around and looked over at the large magical construct that stood at the center of the cave. There were various Magical Stones that were feeding mana into a large cylindrical structure made from glass, standing in the center. And inside the glass structure, a naked man floated gently within a solution of Magical Essence that was being extracted from various mana stones. The man had an oxygen mask attached over his nose and mouth, and his long black hair floated freely around him. There were dark runes that glowed with a deep red light carved all around his body, and even though he had been in this cylinder for more than three decades now, his body was still well built and powerful, and the power he held within every cell of his body could be felt by anyone who came close to him.

The woman walked closer to the cylindrical structure and placed her hand on it with a look of adoration on her face. She gazed upon the face of the unconscious man, and she felt her strength and resolve growing exponentially just from watching him. The woman knew that the time was almost here. For thirty years, she had cared for and protected him, but the time would soon come for him to go out in search of his destiny, and it was her duty to ensure that everything was in place for his resurrection.

"Do not worry yourself, dear brother. The time is almost upon us. Soon, you shall awaken, and once you do, the whole of this world shall know of your greatness. You will claim your birthright, and we will ascend into the world beyond this one and bring our enemies to their knees. Dear brother, wake up soon. Your sister misses you dearly."

The woman moved forward and hugged the cylinder gently before pressing her cheek against the cold surface as she closed her eyes and enjoyed the rhythmic sound of her brother’s heartbeat echoing to her! She had waited for more than thirty years for this moment to arrive, and she had cast aside all her worldly desires in order to ensure her brother received the care and protection he needed. But now that she had finally found the last piece needed for his full ascension, she knew that the time for him to awaken had grown near. The news of Jason Marc’s recent conquest of the Machina, as well as the undead Legion that followed Jason, had spread across the Primordial Expanse very quickly, and now the news had even reached her here in the Primordial Zone. But unlike everyone else who praised Jason for his strength and believed him to be the next legend of the Primordial Expanse, this woman knew that Jason’s strength was nothing but a stolen birthright. That power belonged to her brother, and the time would soon come for Jason to pay what he owed.

....

But as for Jason, the news of his new status as a legend was still unknown to him. After all the battles and life-threatening situations he went through during his search for Gillian and his fight against the world, Jason had passed out from the sheer exhaustion he felt. The amount of punishment Jason had gone through in that short period was far more than any mortal should have to go through, and the only thing that had kept Jason going until that moment was his desire to live as well as the adrenaline pumping through his veins! While he was unconscious, Hesabeth took it upon herself to make sure that Jason didn’t suffer any side effects from his recent Vympir transformation. As someone who was once friends with the Queen of the Vympir, Hesbeath knew more about the Vympir transformation than any other non-Vympir, and she knew that Jason would be in grave danger if she just allowed him to go back into the world the way things were now. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

A few hours after their battle, Hesabeth made an interdimensional call to Farlow and she asked to speak to both him and Gina, and the conversation that followed was very tense and unpredictable.

Farlow had been shocked when he got a message from one of his servants that Queen Hesabeth was calling him using the Crystal Ball. The Crystal Ball was a very precious artefact that could only be found in certain TITAN Rank monsters. The crystal balls were very useful because they operated on a magical frequency that couldn’t be deciphered using any algorithm or magical rune, and that meant that any message sent from one crystal ball to another was completely secure, but they weren’t very popular because of how rare they were. There had only been ten of them discovered in the past millennium, and after the Primordial Treaty was signed, the ten Crystal Balls were handed down to the ten members of the Council of Nine and One so they could use them for immediate communication as well as to receive news of any meetings or events that were taking place around the Primordial Expanse. There had never been a situation where Hesabeth would use the Crystal Ball to call Farlow personally, and after the scene that Hesabeth had just caused using her Primordial Bias, Farlow was a little concerned about what he would hear from the prideful Queen. But Farlow took Gina with him, and he went to answer the Crystal Ball message. Farlow’s kingdom was located within a magical forest filled with lively and beautiful trees of many different colors. The main castle had a magical illusion cast on it that prevented any unworthy person from entering, and when you enter the main kingdom, you could see how well the elves lived with nature. Rather than destroying trees in order to make space for their kingdom, the elves had built their kingdom amongst the trees. There were houses on large branches, and homes within tree trunks. Large platforms connected various trees together to form roads, and the sound of elven children laughing and flying around as they played could be heard from all around the forest!

The main Elven Castle was a large building that looked like something straight out of a fairytale, and the first time Gina saw it, she had been too shocked to even speak! And when she went inside, she was even more shocked to see that the castle had a magic spell cast on it that made it even larger on the inside than it was on the outside! The inside of the castle looked like an entirely new world with entire buildings and roads, and Gina had to admit that it was very impressive! But at that time, Gina hadn’t been able to properly appreciate the beauty of the Elven world since she had been worried about Jason, and things had only gotten worse after Jason passed out and Gina could no longer communicate with him. So when Gina heard that Hesabeth had contacted Farlow, she immediately agreed to go with Farlow!

When they arrived, Gina was the first person to speak.

"Where’s Jason?"

The Crystal Ball used for communication showed a high-definition image of Hesabeth’s face, and Gina saw it squeeze into a frown when Hesabeth heard Gina’s disrespectful tone. Gina really didn’t care about how Hesabeth saw her at that moment, and she just frowned as she waited for a response.
