Strongest Necromancer System-Chapter 701: The Legend of The Undying King
The Machina Massacre had become one of the largest topics amongst the mages of the Primordial Expanse over the past few days. Not only was it one of the bloodiest massacres since the Period of Lawlessness, but it had happened so suddenly that no one was able to react before more than seventy percent of the Machina population had been eradicated! This was one of the most unexpected incidents to ever happen in the Primordial Expanse! The Machina were hailed as the most powerful race in their domain, and their ruler was seen as the ruler over his domain, who was in charge of keeping every other world in check! And yet, all of that had been turned on its head by a mage from a Rank II world that didn’t even register on their radar until a few months ago! 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
No one was foolish enough not to recognize who was truly responsible for the fall of the Machina. The situation was so unexpected that people were saying that the mighty race had bitten off more than they could chew! A man who had only been a mage for a few months went up against hordes of Machina soldiers and faced the Overlord in battle, and at the end of the maddening fight, the mage survived whilst the Machina race was reduced to a shadow of what they had once been! It was obvious that Jason Marc was responsible for the Fall of the Machina, and now, for the first time since the bloody Period of Lawlessness, a new legend of the Battlefield was being born. A man who survived hordes of Machina warriors and defended himself against the wrath of the world itself. The legend of Jason Marc, the Undying King.
"Hey, did you hear about Jason Marc? They said he was branded as a Black Enigma by the Machina, and he got so angry that he went and destroyed their entire world."
"I heard he did it to protect his world. The Machina were asking for unreasonable things, and he didn’t want to give it to them."
"I heard he did it because of some beautiful woman!"
"No way, I heard he’s a tyrant who just loves killing too much! He just used the excuse of the Machina to sate his bloodlust!"
"Hah, this feels like we’re back in the Period of Lawlessness again. Back then, worlds were being destroyed for the most pointless things. Do you remember how the Avarans went about destroying any world that spoke badly about their race? They even eradicated the demons of Raksha without a second thought!"
"But where’s Jason Marc now? No one’s seen him for a while."
"I heard he was bitten by that former Vympir Queen, Gillian. You remember her, right? She was called the Blood Angel of the Battlefield..."
"Yeah, I remember her! I thought she was dead!"
"No, she was also there when Jason took out the Machina! Apparently, she also had a score to settle with them. Some eyewitnesses from the Vympir race say that Jason took her Blood Oath and he is being inaugurated as the new King of the Vympir race soon."
"Ehh? That doesn’t even make any sense! I thought he was the King of Earth!"
"No, he isn’t. He’s just a regular citizen from Earth. But the way things are going, I won’t be surprised if I see him taking the title very soon. There’s no one more powerful than Jason Marc in the Primordial Domain right now."
"Hey, I’ve been hearing something crazy as well. Some people were saying that he fought against Hesabeth and survived the attacks from the world itself. Was that true...?"
"Don’t tell anyone I told you this, but my cousin’s interdimensional friend was also one of the people who managed to survive the massacre, and he says that Jason not only endured the attack from the world, but he also survived an attack from the PRIMORDIAL Lightning Dragon. You know, that rogue PHANTASMAL Beast that travels around the Primordial Expanse inside storms. It appeared and destroyed everything in that world; my friend barely managed to get out alive. But Jason tanked it like he was just taking another stroll through the garden!"
"So, does that mean he’s a PRIMORDIAL now?"
"You know it’s not that easy to become a PRIMORDIAL. No, Jason is still a TITAN, and that only makes it more impressive! If he can already do this as a TITAN, just imagine the things he can do as a PRIMORDIAL! I haven’t been this excited about watching someone grow since the Period of Lawlessness! This is even more impressive than the growth of the Avaran King!"
There were various conversations like this being passed around the Primordial Expanse by the many worlds that heard about the fall of the Machina and the rise of the Undying King. The conversations had gotten so famous that even people who would normally never involve themselves in the politics and gossip of the world were also gaining notice of this man called Jason Marc. On a distant world outside the Ten Main domains, a tribe of Primordials gained news of Jason’s recent actions, and the power that he possessed drew the attention of the Lord of this Primordial Tribe. People called Jason the ’Undying King’. That name and power was not something just anyone could possess, and the Primordial realised that this Undying King held the power that they had been searching for all this time. The Primordial Lord immediately prepared to make his way towards the main Citadel. He had to get this news to their Celestial King immediately!
In another section of the Primordial Expanse, on a warring world that had been consumed by brutal and bloody battles for the past decade, a young woman stood under the pouring red rain and glanced around at all the dead bodies surrounding her. This young woman was not a member of this world, and she had no reason to fight in this battle. She was simply a sword for hire, a mercenary who travelled across various worlds in search of worthy battles that would help her to grow stronger. And as long as you paid her enough, then she would be more than happy to wield her sword against your enemies. This woman’s name was Valeria Marc, and she was the second child of the fifth wife of the King of the Avarans, Richard Marc. Valeria wielded twin blades made from a black obsidian metal. She was tall, and her face held an uncharacteristic beauty that you would not expect from someone so dangerous! Valeria’s short black hair stuck to her face and neck from the falling rain, and the blood on her swords washed off in dribbles as they joined the river of blood flowing through the battlefield.
The battle had been long, and most of her comrades had been killed, but Valeria didn’t care since she knew that they had won. Right now, Valeria was more interested in something she had heard from one of her fellow mercenaries only a few minutes ago. There was a new legend being born within the Primordial Expanse. Someone had finally eradicated that pathetic Machina Race, and he was being hailed as the Undying King. A man from a Rank II world who had risen to TITAN Rank faster than anyone ever before. Valeria knew without a doubt that this Jason Marc was her half-brother. She didn’t know why she was so certain, but she just knew that she was right. And if Jason was so powerful, then there was a chance that he was the one who could help her achieve her goal. Valeria looked over the battlefield once again, and her hand squeezed around her swords in anger. This wasn’t enough. Valeria had been travelling across battlefields for close to thirty years now, and in that time, she had gained all she could from war. But now it was time for her to start gathering allies to begin her true mission. And she decided that the first person she would recruit in the pursuit of her ultimate goal was her half-brother, Jason Marc.
