And the first time Alex ate a plant leaf, he realised that he had not only gained the appearance of the Chimera Slime, but he had also acquired its abilities! Alex could absorb the mana and DNA from everything around him by simply consuming them!

The next few years were very difficult for Alex. He was just a slime in the middle of a massive forest that was filled with dangerous monsters, so he had to be very careful not to be killed. But with time, Alex continued to grow stronger as he ate more and more powerful creatures and plants. Alex learned more about his body as time passed, and he slowly mastered how to transform his body into the various organisms that he had eaten!
