Strongest Necromancer System-Chapter 203: The Bird and The Dragon
Chapter 203: The Bird and The Dragon
Once the plan was laid out, Jason commanded Ragnar to begin his dive at the same moment that the two large groups met in the sky! The Iron Bladed Falcons slammed into Jason’s Legion with undeniable ferocity, and they used their blades with deadly precision to scratch and tear through the Legion! The Falcons were shocked when they saw that some of their own brothers were fighting against them, but they didn’t allow that to stop them from defending their home! As far as they knew, their brothers had betrayed them by swearing loyalty to another master, so it was their duty to kill the traitors!
Some of the Falcons began to try to fly higher so that they could perform a skydive, but they weren’t allowed to do it since the Adamantine Ants were latching onto them and keeping them in place! The clash of metal against metal rang through the air as blades flew and loud cries echoed far into the distance, but it was obvious that Jason’s Legion was slowly starting to get the upper hand in the fight! Not only were the Legion members unafraid of death, but they also possessed superior numbers and ferocity! Meanwhile, the Iron Bladed Falcons were still regular Magical Beasts, so they had the natural fear of death that all living beasts had, and they were also being slowed down by the numerous injuries they were suffering as the fight dragged on!
Jason knew that his Legion would be able to take care of the Falcons if he allowed them to continue the fight for a little longer, but Jason just didn’t have that sort of time. Jason was here to get stronger as quickly as possible, so he sent the command for the next phase of the plan to the Legion, and Ragnar released a huff of smoke from its mouth as it swerved around and began to fly up towards the battlefield! The Falcons all cried out when they saw the dragon coming at them, but they were held down by the Adamantine Ants and Falcons from the Legion to prevent them from escaping!
"Burn them!"
Jason gave the order once they were close enough, and Ragnar released a loud roar as fire exploded out from his mouth! The flames surged upwards towards all the fighting beasts, and they were engulfed in the intense flames! The smell of burning feathers and cooked meat began spreading through the region, and Jason glanced to see a notification appear in his system.
——

"Some of them survived?"
Jason raised a brow when he saw that the number of dead Falcons wasn’t up to twenty. Jason wondered if it was because some Falcon warriors didn’t come to help or if some of the Falcons here managed to survive Ragnar’s attack. Jason quickly sent out an order to the Adamantine Ants that hadn’t been part of the fight to catch the Falcons before they fell to the ground below. The Adamantine Ants followed Jason’s orders and went to catch the falling Falcons, and Jason spread his hand outwards to them and spoke.
"Resurrect."
Doom!
A pressure spread across the sky as Jason’s mana grabbed hold of the Falcons and pulled their souls from their bodies! The large Falcons dragged themselves out, and their cries filled the sky as they spread their wings excitedly!

Jason waved the tab away and looked towards the Adamantine Ants that were retrieving the Magic crystals in the heart of the Falcons. Jason had killed practically all the warriors and only the Hunters were left. But with how quickly Raya was going through them, Jason knew that it would be long before the Hunters were also dealt with. So that only left the main boss of the Gate, the Skyking.
Jason quickly used up a thousand mana points to resurrect the members of the Legion that had been killed in Ragnar’s attack. Some of the Legion members had been quick enouhg ot let go before the attack hit, so they were only slightly burnt and Jason was sure they would heal in no time. Once he was done with that, he looked towards the nest of the Skyking once again.
Jason was sure that the Skyking would be at least up to Rook Rank I, but Jason wasn’t worried about that since he knew they had the superior forces. In fact, if Jason wanted to get the most out of this, then it would be beneficial for him to only send Ragnar after the Skyking. Jason glanced at the tab above Ragnar’s head and he hummed.

Ragnar hadn’t been in that many fights, so his hierarchy progression wasn’t moving up as quickly as Jason hoped it would. At this rate, it would take at least a month just for Ragnar to get to hierarchy level 3. No, that wouldn’t do. Jason needed Ragnar to get stronger faster as well. As one of the strongest fighters in the Legion, Ragnar needed to get even stronger if Jason was going to stand any chance against the Lich.
This battle already helped Ragnar improve his progression by a lot, but Jason decided that he would leave Ragnar to fight the Skyking alone so he could gain even more experience.
Jason sent out an order to the rest of the Legion and told them to continue retrieving the stones from the Falcons and to wait for him here once they were done with that. The Legion responded positively and Jason commanded Ragnar to take off for the Falcon nest! Ragnar jumped off the platform in the sky and flapped his wings intensely as he flew straight for the largest platform in the sky. There was an intense aura surrounding Ragnar as he flew, and Jason could immediately tell that it was excitement for the battle that he was about to experience! Jason patted Ragnar on the neck and told him to make sure he won, and Ragnar released a low rumble of amusement in response! Did the King really think a mere bird could take out a great dragon?
"He’s as confident as ever."
Jason grinned in response to Ragnar, and he turned back forward as they got closer to the platform in the sky. The platform was extremely large, and there was a small lake filled with water to one side. The center of the platform had an artificial cave that was so dark on the inside that Jason couldn’t see a thing with his normal sight. The moment Ragnar landed on the platform, a great tremor traveled across the ground and Jason saw something shift inside the cave.
Jason got off Ragnar while grabbing a few crystals from his Alternate Dimension and he threw them in his mouth as he began to walk away from the potential battlefield. Jason found a large rock that looked comfortable enough, and he sat down and crossed his legs to watch. Ragnar shook its body and released some tension before it spread its wings and roared towards the cave!
ROARRRR!
The roar shook the entire platform down to its core and the creature inside the cave finally decided that it needed to respond appropriately! The creature slowly emerged from inside the cave and Jason couldn’t hide his shock when he saw the Skyking! It was nearly as large as Ragnar! The Skyking had silver feathers that shone far brighter than any other Falcon in this colony, and its eyes were an iridescent blue that glittered in the sunlight! Each step it took carved trenches in the ground due to how sharp its talons were, and when it spread its wings, Jason whistled as its size nearly quadrupled!
CAWWWWWW!!!
"Not bad!"
