STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 658: A surprise turn around!
5th Zone, City A
Red Moon Chamber, Head Office
"Are you sure about that?" Harold asked.
He had seen those reports before, but he had yet to see Jeremy’s prowess in front of his eyes.
"Trust me. Allow the kid to enter the wilderness. Since there is a basic understanding that only a Tier-3 Beast Tamer can do the wilderness mission."
"No one will believe that a kid could take down the illegal members," Neil Moon replied.
"Alright, since you are vouching for him, I’ll bet on the kid this time," Neil added.
"Good," Harold replied.
Then they spoke for a few minutes before ending the call. Harold then thought of Jeremy Night and made a firm decision.
He decided the mission was to be secret. No one should know about it, except the three of them: the kid, him, and Neil.
Even he was not willing to tell this plan to Melinda.
Next, he summoned Jeremy Night to come and see him right away.
Meanwhile,
Jeremy Night was in his room. He had just walked out of the practice room. The sudden call from Head Harold made him end his practice.
He didn’t know why Head Harold wanted to see him. He didn’t do anything wrong. Next, he thought of the crime-fighting mission.
He had killed those four Skull Gang Members. Jeremy’s eyes glinted with understanding. His expression turned serious.
He was sure that his killing was clean without any problems. No one suspected him. People were doubting the 48th Team right now.
Then he shook his head. He collected his thoughts and began to get ready. He thought it must be related to some other issue.
A few minutes later,
He left the hotel room. Then he started heading towards the Head Office. It didn’t take long for him to reach the spot.
He saw that the office room was open. He then walked inside the room. His gaze fell on Head Harold behind the desk.
"Head," Jeremy greeted him.
Head Harold nodded to him before telling him to take a seat.
Jeremy then walked up to the chair and sat down. He didn’t know what this was about. He raised his head and looked towards Head Harold.
Head Harold began to observe the kid from top to bottom. The kid had been wanting to enter the wilderness, but he had denied the request.
Now he couldn’t believe that he was going to send Jeremy to the wilderness again. He saw through the strength of Jeremy Night.
His eyes flashed with surprise. He found that the kid’s strength was close to the Tier-3 level. He had increased his progress.
It showed that the kid had been practicing diligently.
Then he said, "Jeremy Night, you might have heard what’s going on here."
Hearing that, Jeremy Night nodded his head. How could he not know? He was the main reason. The 48th Team cheated him. They deserved the hate.
"The illegal organizations are targeting our members in the wilderness. They are taking revenge. I have decided to take action. I have spoken to City Governor Martin."
"He doesn’t want any killings inside the city. But he wouldn’t mind if we took action against the illegal groups outside in the wilderness."
"But I doubt the members will be ready to fight for the organization. The organization is newly developed. I can’t expect them to fight against the illegal members."
"They are locals. They are mostly afraid of the illegal organization," Head Harold explained in a slow tone.
On the other hand, Jeremy raised his eyebrows. He didn’t know what was going on, but he found that the conversation was getting serious. He didn’t know why Head Harold was talking to him.
Harold saw the confusion in Jeremy Night’s eyes. To be honest, he didn’t want the Tier-2 kid to take the risk.
But because of Head Neil Moon, he decided to trust in him.
He said, "I will be honest with you. Head Neil Moon called me earlier. He convinced me that you can take down the illegal members, inflicting damage to their strength."
"Since no one will accept the mission, we have decided to send you to the wilderness. No one will suspect you. You are the right person for the mission," Harold added.
Jeremy’s heart was in turmoil. Now he understood what this was about. He was hoping to go to the wilderness, but he didn’t expect the wish to come true.
He didn’t know what to do next. Head Harold and Neil Moon wanted him to do the mission. Jeremy Night began to ponder.
Head Harold saw Jeremy Night was in deep thought. He decided to give him some time. At the same time, he thought of an idea.
"If you do this mission, then I’ll let you join the Beast Taming Team. Hereafter, you can do missions like others," Harold said in a firm tone.
He made this decision after careful thinking.
"This?" Jeremy Night was taken aback.
He knew it would take some time for him to become a Tier-3 Beast Tamer.
He decided to accept the mission. He could also learn about the wilderness here. So far, he had been hearing about the dangerous wilderness.
This time, he would see it for himself.
"I will accept the mission. When should I leave?" Jeremy asked.
"You can leave right now. The illegal members must be hiding there. So wear a face mask before fighting against the members."
"If the city guard asks you, then show them the badge of the Red Moon Chamber. Tell them that you are going for training," Harold said to the kid.
He was glad that the kid had accepted the mission.
Jeremy then took a deep breath. Then he stood up and bowed to Head Harold before leaving the place.
After walking out of the office room, his expression turned serious. He didn’t know about the wilderness map.
If he asked the staff here, then they would definitely ask him why. It would attract unwanted attention.
He then went to the lobby. After arriving there, he noticed some of the members were there. The crowd had become less compared to before.
