Story Breaker-Chapter 12: After The Battle

'How long can I keep up the cold and serious act for? Everything is going by to fast for me to understand...'

I was currently being blinded by the light that enveloped both Kim Taejune and Eldrin. When the light faded away, only Kim Taejune remained, unconscious as he breathed slowly on the ground.

Even stranger, it seemed all his injuries, especially the torn-off part of his shoulder, were healed completely, as if they had never happened.

'No way... This guy's definitely not an extra with an ability like that... He's definitely not a character from the story... Maybe he's like me and got transmigrated to this world?..'

I sighed, slowly trying to stand despite the aching pain from the previous battle. Everything hurt, yet I continued to try to stand up, but I stumbled every time, annoyed, I slammed my fist onto the ground—then remembered something important.

'Do I still have it?...'

I quickly reached for a healing vial I had got and put in my pocket from my supply trip with Kim Taejune.

A bit surprised and relieved that it hadn't broken in my pocket during the battle, I quickly drank the blue-colored liquid.

'It's bitter..'

The bruises on my body quickly vanished, and I felt energy slowly return to me. I quickly stood up once again and headed to Kim Taejune.

Looking down at him, I examined his left shoulder closely, noticing even his uniform was fixed like it was as if he had never been in a battle in the first place.

I tried using 'story of the world' again on him, yet I got the same response as before:

'Seriously, who are you?!'

I tried picking up Eldrin's blade that was nearby, after a while I pulled it out of the ground.

I quickly dropped it onto Kim Taejune and then dragged him once again, I wandered around with him until I found another cave.

I sat down on the cave floor against the wall and recalled the time we spent with Eldrin as questions filled my mind about them.

'Why did he look different from the story? Is it because he didn't become a greater calamity yet?'

'Better question, why did Eldrin look like Tobi, my family dog?'

'Did Jiho base Eldrin off of Tobi?'

'It oddly felt comforting to talk with Eldrin for a while, it was like I was talking to Tobi again. Is that why my body moved to comfort him?'

'Even weirder is when I scanned Eldrin...'

'The first part was what Jiho had said when we were in high school... He got mad because he kept getting hate comments on his web book "Cards Of Destiny," so he came to me to complain about it...'

'Meanwhile the other two parts pissed me off thinking about them, You're telling me to just die? Give up? Well, fuck you! I'm not dying without trying to survive till the end, bitch, and bring back Jiho! Who are you even? The god? Someone different entirely? Just fuck off!'

'What even happened made Eldrin, like that anyways?'

'Whatever, you are, no whoever you are... Im going to kill you... I swear...'

I sighed again, trying to calm myself down. I tried checking my system, but it still had that screen.

Right before Eldrin and Kim Taejune were swallowed by that light, my system gave me a warning notification..

[WARNING! WARNING! THE STORY IS BREAKING!]

Which was followed by a sudden pain in my head and my vision getting blurry, then suddenly it was gone when the light disappeared.

Now my system was stuck on 'the story is fixing itself' screen ever since, at least the percent was quickly rising..

I glanced at Taejune for a moment who was the reason for the story breaking and changing.

'Should I just kill him? He is the source of the story changing and breaking, right?'

I stared at Kim Taejune while thinking about it, then a sudden thought appeared in my head, 'That god or whatever said I just have to make it to the end of the story as a savior, right?'

'I can just use him to reach the ending. So what if the story breaks and changes? I'm sorry, Jiho, but I am going to have to break and change the plot of your book until I reach the end and bring you back alright?...'

Suddenly a screen appeared in front of me notifying me about the story.

[The story has completed fixing itself!]

I tried checked my stats to see if anything had changed after the fight because I was unable to check during the fight with Eldrin, so I wasn't sure if anything had changed.

By now, Arthur Corvin would have encountered Eldrin, yet we fought him already and barely won almost an hour earlier.

A couple seconds later as I was resting against the caveI heard rustling in the trees in front of the cave. I quickly picked up Eldrin's sword on top of Kim Taejune, preparing myself for a fight.

A platinum-haired man with red eyes emerged from the forest and spotted me and asked, "Hey, you, can we share a resting spot for a bit?"

my eyes widen slightly, I quickly scanned the man to see if I was right about his identity.

I stared at Arthur Corvin for a moment, surprised that he was actually in front of me. I sighed, thinking of what to do, 'You know what, fuck it! Let's have him join us for a bit, what can go wrong? I feel like I've gone crazy at this point anyways, So lets change the story even more!'

I looked at him coldly. "Fine... just saying my injured 'Comrade' is unconscious, so try not to bother him."

Arthur nodded as he sat down on the other side of the cave wall, away from Kim Taejune, while putting his silver and red sword, Sangis, against the wall and staring at me.

He suddenly asked me a strange question, "Hey, you're Yoon Harin, aren't you? The girl who beat up that upperclassman at the entrance, right?"

'What?'
