Stolen By My Billionaire Brother-In-Law-Chapter 79: A Date It Is
Rivana’s heart skipped a beat as his lips crashed on hers, sending sparks through her body. She closed her eyes and kissed him back, forgetting the world around them. Azrael lowered his head and deepened the kiss, nibbling and sucking onto her lips that sent shiver down Rivana’s spine. She clutched onto his back, her fingers wrinkling his shirt.
The world around them blurred as Azrael devoured her, melting her completely into him. Azrael’s hand roamed through her back, lowering beneath her lower waits before grabbing her thighs. A gasp left Rivana’s mouth as he lifted her up, turned around and made her sit on the table without breaking the kiss. She circled her arms around his neck, while his hands held her waist, firm yet cautiously as if she was a delicate glass.
Azrael broke the kiss for a moment, leaving her to catch a breath. He looked into her brown, misty eyes, their chest rising up and down in synchony. He needed to take it slow and steady, but by the way she looked at him, wanting him just much as he wanted her, he was losing it all.
Rivana could sense his hesitation, the fear of overstepping clear in his eyes. So, she decided to take the bold step instead. Grabbing his collar, she pulled him lower and kissed him fervently.
Azrael lost his last shred of control at her action. His hand moved to her head, he titled it and deepened the kiss. He sucked her lower lip, teasing her before biting it lightly. She winced in pain and he took the opportunity, slipping his tongue into her mouth. He kissed without holding back, tasting every corner of her mouth, and she didn’t wanted him to stop.
But they were interrupted by a loud, grumbling sound. Azrael paused, his lips leaving Rivana’s, as he tilted his head in confusion. Rivana’s eyes fluttered open, and she looked around before glancing down at her stomach. The sound came again, louder this time, making her grit her teeth in sheer annoyance. Of course, her stomach loved embarrassing her at the worst possible moment.
"Seems like someone is really hungry," Azrael teased, his voice filled with amusement. Rivana’s cheeks flushed a deeper red, heat crawling up her neck as she tried to hide her face.
Azrael laughed out loud, the sound causing her heart to flutter. Cupping her cheek with his palm, he leaned and placed a gentle peck on her lips. Looking at her, he said softly, "Let’s grab something to eat."
Rivana nodded and sliff off the table, the embarrassment still evident on her face. Her legs wobbled slightly as she adjusted her dress, tugging it back into place. Feeling his gaze, she scratched the tip of her nose, her cheeks still burning in embarrassment.
Azrael smiled warmly at her, amused at her cuteness. Extending a hand, he said, "Let’s go."
Rivana held onto his hand with a shy smile before they walked out of the room.
As they walked down the corridor, whispers filled the air. The workers couldn’t stop themselves from peeking at the couple. The heir of Dynar Automobiles rarely made public appearances, and this was a golden opportunity they couldn’t afford to miss.
"OMG! He looks more handsome in person!" one young woman murmured, her voice laced with awe.
"Right? Is he even real?" another added, swooning.
A few men nearby nodded in agreement, silently acknowledging Azrael’s magnetic presence. He seemed to be cut from a completely different cloth, as if God had personally crafted him with intricate care, down to the finest detail.
"They look great together," someone else observed, admiration clear in their tone.
"True," another agreed. As the couple walked hand in hand, the onlookers couldn’t help but compare Rivana to her past. They thought back to her pictures with Viktor—the man who had betrayed her with his sister in a scandal revealed during their wedding. With Azrael, she radiated a newfound brightness, her charming smile captivating everyone around. She looked happier, stronger, and undeniably better with him.
"Ma’am," a voice interrupted as they approached her office. Jeremy stood there, his eyes lighting up when he saw her.
Rivana smiled warmly and gestured toward him. "He is Jeremy Miller, my assistant."
Jeremy straightened with a small bow. "It’s a pleasure," he greeted respectfully. Azrael gave a subtle nod in response. He had seen this man tagging along with Emmerich Faye at several events in the past.
Just then, another familiar figure stepped in—Mathew, the attorney who had been a close friend and advisor to Emmerich. "Oh, what a surprise!" Mathew beamed at the sight of Azrael. They had already met during the funeral, and Azrael had heard how instrumental Mathew had been in helping Rivana with business matters.
"Oh! They’re here!" Leonora’s voice rang out as she walked toward them, her smile lighting up the hallway. Callum trailed behind her, clearly unimpressed. He had been forced to tag along, having admitted that he still wasn’t fully acquainted with the company’s layout.
The group exchanged pleasantries, the conversation naturally shifting to the earlier meeting. Mathew praised Rivana to the skies, recounting her victorious decision-making and strong presence during the discussion. Azrael, to everyone’s surprise, listened with a slight lift of his lips—something rare for the stoic man.
"Since we’re all gathered, let’s have lunch together," Mathew suggested with a warm smile.
"That sounds great!" Leonora immediately agreed, her enthusiasm evident.
All eyes turned to Rivana, who forced out a smile and nodded politely. She wanted nothing more than to spend time alone with Azrael, but with Mathew and Jeremy also present, she felt obliged to accept. Her hand unconsciously gripped Azrael’s tighter, as if silently conveying her reluctance to leave his side.
Azrael, ever perceptive, noticed the subtle cue. "Sorry, we can’t join you," he declared, his tone decisive and firm. The cheerful expressions of the group faltered slightly. "I was taking her out on a date," he added, the corner of his lips curving into a faint smile.
Rivana looked up at him in surprise, her cheeks warming at his candid admission. Around them, the others exchanged knowing glances. Leonora whistled teasingly, her grin widening. "Ooh, a date! Finally," she teased, nudging her friend gently. Mathew chuckled, clearly amused.
"Alright. We won’t ruin it," Mathew said with a nod, and Jeremy echoed his agreement with a kind smile.
"Callum will treat you all on our behalf," Azrael declared, catching Callum completely off guard. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"Me?" Callum pointed at himself incredulously, his voice filled with disbelief. Surely his boss didn’t expect him to stay behind when he, too, deserved some rest after the exhausting mission to trap Rafaelo. But his hopes were crushed when Azrael nodded firmly.
Callum wanted to object, knowing this was yet another task to test Mathew and Jeremy’s trustworthiness. He hated his job at moments like these. Still, feeling the intensity of Azrael’s glare, he sighed in resignation. "Fine," he muttered under his breath, though he could already feel his spirit crumbling.
With a forced smile, he gestured for the men to take the lead. "Please allow me to treat you guys," he said, his voice steady but his heart breaking.
Mathew and Jeremy nodded before walking ahead. Leonora lingered for a moment, leaning closer to Rivana with a mischievous smirk. "Enjoy," she whispered teasingly before trailing after Callum.
Azrael waited until the group had vanished down the corridor. Once they were out of sight, he turned to Rivana and smiled warmly. "Let’s go," he said softly.
Rivana nodded, her heart racing as they walked toward the elevator. But when they reached the ground floor, their happiness was short-lived.
"Riva!" Sebastian’s voice echoed across the lounge, cutting through the hum of chatter. He was standing near the front desk, his gaze sharp as it locked onto her. The moment he saw her, he quickly strode toward them, urgency in every step.
"Sebastian." Rivana blinked in confusion, surprised to see him here. "What are you doing here?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.
She instinctively wanted to step forward, but Azrael’s fingers tightened around hers, his grip firm and unrelenting. He had no intentions of letting go. His expression turned sour, his piercing eyes fixating on the approaching man. Frustration flickered on his face—it was clear he wasn’t pleased to see her persistent, overstepping friend again.
"I heard Rafaelo was blackmailing you with the video again. Where is he?" Sebastian demanded, his voice laced with anger as his eyes scanned the room. "I will deal with him myself," he added, his fists clenched at his sides.
Rivana sighed heavily at the mention of Rafaelo. The name alone was enough to stir exhaustion in her heart. "Don’t worry. I handled him," she replied calmly, though a hint of weariness lingered in her tone. She glanced up at Azrael, her lips curling smile.
Sebastian nodded, his stiff posture softening as he forced out a smile. He seemed genuinely relieved by her response, but Azrael wasn’t convinced. Suspicion clouded his gaze as he observed Sebastian closely.
"How did you know he was here?" Azrael’s voice cut through the moment, his tone cold and demanding. Rivana hadn’t told anyone else about Rafaelo, and no one outside his trusted team knew he had gotten his hands on the video again. Something didn’t add up.
Sebastian froze for a moment, his jaw tightening as Azrael’s question hung in the air. Before he could answer, Azrael’s eyes darkened, narrowing further with suspicion. "And how exactly do you know he had gotten the video?" he pressed, his words sharper and more pointed this time.
Sebastian’s eye twitched slightly at the interrogation. Rivana, now catching onto Azrael’s pointed questions, turned to Sebastian with confusion etched across her face, waiting for him to clarify.
When no response came, Azrael took a step forward, his towering presence casting a shadow over Sebastian. His voice dropped, laced with a chilling edge as he asked, "Did you send it to him?"
