Stolen By My Billionaire Brother-In-Law-Chapter 31: Angel In Heaven
Viktor’s expression soured at Ezekiel’s words. So, Azrael liked Rivana? It only strengthened his resolve to snatch her back, and he swore to do it at all costs. Looking at Rivana, he asked, "What’s happening here, Riv?"
"Why the heck are you here?" Azrael replied instead, glaring at his useless step-brother. When Viktor scowled and continued looking at his wife for a response, Azrael mocked, "Wasn’t the humiliation enough? Are you here for more?"
"I am not talking to you," Viktor scowled in response.
"But I am definitely talking to you, little brother," Azrael replied, taking a step forward.
"Your bruises seemed to have healed pretty fast. Should I punch you again?" Azrael continued to stroll toward Viktor. He was already frustrated at his uncle’s blunder. Seeing Viktor only worsened it, and now he would face its wrath instead of Ezekiel.
Ezekiel whistled excitedly, sitting back on his chair to see his nephew in some action while Callum and Ashley exchanged worried glances. Becca, who had stepped inside trying to stop Viktor, couldn’t help but move away as Azrael strode in their direction. Azrael looked dangerous, darkness looming around him, and she wasn’t going to face his unnecessary wrath.
Viktor gulped, taking a step back. Looking at Rivana on the chair, he grumbled, "I am here to talk with Rivana! It’s none of your business."
Azrael smirked in response, his gaze unsettling Viktor. Loosening his tie, Azrael stepped even further and replied calmly, "It is definitely my business. In fact, it is my duty to take care of trash for my wife, Viktor."
Rivana felt her heart race at his words. She wasn’t sure if he was trying to get on Viktor’s nerves or trying to flirt with her. But both seemed to be working greatly.
Feeling Becca’s gaze, she nodded in response. The latter ran out of the office to bring the security. Viktor would be making headlines again, his photos of being dragged out of the company printing all over the internet.
Viktor looked between Rivana and Azrael now standing in front of him. From his look, it seemed like Azrael was really eager to punch him again, and he hated coming here.
"So, you have really moved on with this mobster!" Viktor barked at Rivana, his frustration seeming foolish to everyone in the room. When Rivana simply stared at him, he continued, "I was here to give you one last chance to make your choice. But it seems like you already made it. Great! I won’t be nice to you anymore." 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
A loud laughter echoed in the room, and Viktor sneered at Azrael. What was so funny? But when even everyone else snickered in the room, including Rivana, whatever last bits of concern he had for her vanished away. If she had really decided to be his enemy, then he would treat her the same!
"Tch!" Azrael clicked his tongue, feeling pity for his little brother. Moving closer, he raised his hand, and Viktor moved back, thinking he would slap him, but instead, Azrael patted his cheek. "You are 23 but still haven’t grown up yet," he commented, his every word like a sharp knife, piercing through Viktor’s already wounded pride.
Much to his displeasure, Azrael patted his cheek again and suggested, "Go home." Just then, Becca opened the glass door, the security right behind her. Azrael forcefully turned Viktor around and pushed him out of the room.
"Drive safe!" With a smile, he shut the door on Viktor’s face, making Ashley snort out loud. No, she couldn’t hold back anymore.
Viktor glared at the door, his face red with anger and embarrassment. When the security guards tried to hold him, he shrugged them away. "Don’t touch me!" Glaring at them, he stormed out of the company, swearing to make Rivana pay for choosing the wrong side.
Meanwhile, inside, the tension was thick in the room. Though Azrael’s handling of Viktor was quite amusing, Ezekiel could sense the awkwardness between the couple.
Becca cleared her throat and broke the tension. "The meeting with MediaHex is arranged, Ma’am."
"Oh, you must be very busy!" Ezekiel decided to use it as an excuse to leave. When Rivana nodded, he added with a smile, "We won’t trouble you then."
With that, he started walking toward the door. Callum quickly followed him with a silly grin, like a puppy finally meeting his owner again. Azrael looked at Rivana, his expression soft but lightly flustered.
"I will see you later."
Rivana nodded in response. As soon as Azrael left the room, she sat back on the chair and sighed out loud. Ezekiel’s words kept replaying in her mind, causing her heart to race. She shook her head, pushing away all those thoughts. It was working time, and she couldn’t bring her personal life into it.

Later that night
By the time Rivana reached the mansion, it was already dark. The night was cold, with a crisp chill in the air. George walked over as she stepped inside. Taking her coat, he informed her, "Master hasn’t returned yet, Ma’am."
Rivana nodded in response, relieved about it. She was exhausted and had no energy for anything right now. The continuous meetings and the demanding work had drained her, and all she wanted to do was sleep.
"Should I arrange for dinner?" George asked since the time was almost past nine.
Rivana shook her head and replied, "No, I already had dinner with my team." Many had worked beyond clocking hours today along with her, and she treated them to a company dinner. "Good night, George," she smiled before walking to her room.
As soon as she slumped on the bed, she fell asleep. But the slumber was not as peaceful as she wished. It took her to that familiar nightmare. Rivana was back in the same dark room, a crib at the end under a faint glowing light.
Rivana looked around, confused, and fear crippled her bones. She couldn’t understand why she was here. Was it because of her past regrets? Of not saving her son? Or was it something connected to her future?
Suddenly, a shadow started growing from the crib. It started walking toward her, making her take a step back. But as the figure got closer and closer, a gasp left her mouth.
A boy, almost 3-4 years old, stood there, dressed in an angel outfit. His sweet smile brought tears to Rivana’s eyes. She had always dreamed of dressing her son as an angel when he got big.
"Mommy," the boy called out, his angelic voice trailing tears down Rivana’s cheeks.
"A... Alan?" Rivana asked, taking a step forward, almost scared that the dream would end if she touched him.
"Yes, mommy! It’s me!" Alan beamed in response. As Rivana squatted down to his height, he wiped her tears and asked worriedly, "Are you alright? I almost couldn’t save you from that gunman."
Rivana blinked in confusion. Gunman? Was he talking about Ezekiel?
