Sticking to Mr.Chairman in This Life-Chapter 993: Bitten by a Snake
Since it was already scrapped, Su Ge didn’t fuss too much about it. After wandering on the mountain for a few hours, she finally saw a relatively open ground. She walked straight over, put down the medicine basket, and then sat down right there.
"Professor, let’s rest here for a while before we continue."
Ye Mubai had been following behind her. Seeing her sit down, he stopped as well, looked at the ground, and found a relatively clean spot to sit down as well.
The wind blew from among the mountains, and all one could hear in this quiet spot was the sound of Su Ge breathing heavily from exhaustion.
Ye Mubai quietly looked at her, his gaze deep.
After sitting still for a while, Su Ge seemed to feel uncomfortable, so she lay down right there.
She looked at the sky intently; the winter sun was not glaring, and from time to time, small birds flew past between the forest and the mountains; everything was in nature’s most genuine state.
Such scenery cannot be seen in the city, where there is life and hope everywhere.
Even this cloudless sky seemed to be filled with hope.
Ye Mubai sat not far away, his gaze quietly fixed on her.
Though he couldn’t see her inner thoughts, the faint sadness surrounding her was almost impossible to ignore.
Like obsidian, his eyes grew deeper and deeper.
The girl suddenly closed her eyes, and two clear streams of tears slowly flowed down from the corners of her eyes.
Watching this, Ye Mubai’s brow furrowed bit by bit, his fingers involuntarily clenched, and his chest felt inexplicably stuffy.
A slight rustling sound came from the grass behind.
Ye Mubai slightly turned his head to glance and then looked at the girl lying down again. He slowly reached his hand back.
"Ah—" 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
A sudden scream erupted. Su Ge’s eyes widened quickly, immediately seeing Ye Mubai clutch his wrist, his brow furrowed tightly.
"Professor!" Su Ge almost reflexively scrambled up from the ground, rushing over to Ye Mubai.
Just hearing a rustling sound from the grass, Su Ge glanced over, just catching sight of a green snake slithering past, rapidly disappearing.
Her face changed color, she hurriedly took Ye Mubai’s hand, seeing two blood marks on his fair wrist, exceptionally clear.
Her eyes instantly turned red; she almost didn’t think, and directly put the wrist into her mouth, sucked desperately, and then spat out.
She repeated this process over and over.
"Xiao Ge..."
Ye Mubai widened his eyes, staring unblinkingly at Su Ge.
"Professor, are you alright? Can you still breathe? Has the poison spread to your organs?"
After sucking a few times, Su Ge, eyes red and almost sobbing, asked Ye Mubai.
This snake’s venom was extremely strong, with records stating that if bitten, one could die within half an hour.
When they came up the mountain, the professor even told her to be careful, but unexpectedly, the professor was bitten by such a snake.
How could he be so careless?
If anything happens to the professor, what would she do?
She was unfamiliar with this place... Anyway, nothing can happen to the professor.
"I’m fine." Seeing the clear concern on Su Ge’s face, Ye Mubai’s lips slightly curved into a smile. "This isn’t the venomous snake we saw when we came up the mountain. This type of snake is non-poisonous."
"Non-poisonous?" Su Ge looked up with surprise.
Thinking carefully, she only saw the green sheen on the snake’s body but hadn’t seen its head.
This type of green snake is only highly venomous if there are black spots on its head, and there are many kinds without them, seemingly some without any poison.
