He quickly got off the bed and rushed to the foot of it, picking up Tianxin, who was head down.

It scared him so much his heart pounded rapidly, nearly leaping out of his throat from fear.

He hugged Tianxin tightly, comforting her while checking if her head was injured.

"Wah... Daddy, it hurts~" Tianxin sobbed and cried, tears streaming down her face.

"It’s Daddy’s fault. It’s okay, don’t cry." Huo Shaohua’s eyes grew moist with heartache upon hearing his daughter cry in pain.

He held her tightly, soothing her, and hurriedly left the room to head to the hospital.

Just then, the door opened, and Tian Xingyun returned from buying groceries.

Seeing Tianxin crying, she immediately guessed what had happened.

Unhurriedly, she said, "Did she fall off the bed being naughty again?"

This daughter was learning to walk and was always so mischievous.

"Yeah, I’m taking her to the hospital to check. She hit her head on the floor," Huo Shaohua said as he reached the door and started changing shoes.

"Tianxin, you’re the naughtiest one!" Tian Xingyun said to her crying daughter, unable to help commenting.

"Alright, it was my fault for not watching her carefully, which made her fall," Huo Shaohua blamed himself. If he hadn’t been sleepy, his daughter wouldn’t have fallen off the bed.

He anxiously headed out the door with Tianxin in his arms while Tian Xingyun put down what she was holding and hurried after him.

It wasn’t the first time their daughter had fallen; unlike him, she wasn’t as flustered.

Huo Shaohua hurried to the hospital with Tianxin, didn’t bother registering, and dashed straight into Liu Zexin’s office.

Liu Zexin was examining a patient. Noticing the urgency, he had the nurse take the patient to another specialist.

"Quick, have a look at her. She just fell off the bed and hit her head on the floor."

"How could you be so careless? Let me take a look!" Liu Zexin hurried to check on Tianxin.

After Tian Xin calmed Tianxin down, Liu Zexin examined her.

The little girl’s forehead was bruised and swollen, and her nose was scraped.

For safety, arrangements were made for Tianxin to undergo a CT scan and several other tests.

Everything came back normal; she had no internal injuries, only minor external ones.

Huo Shaohua sat with Tianxin in Liu Zexin’s office, both amused and exasperated at his mischievous daughter.

"Daddy was almost scared to death by you!" He let Tianxin stand on his thigh, father and daughter pretending to be cross while he disciplined her.

Her forehead was red and purple with bruises, a small bandage on her nose, and her long eyelashes still had traces of tears.

"Daddy, be good~" She giggled, mimicking adults’ speech, reaching out to touch her father’s face.

"You little rascal," Huo Shaohua was amused by his daughter. Seeing her so lively, his worry finally subsided.

It had scared him half to death earlier, fearing his precious daughter was in danger.

"Why don’t you watch your precious daughter better?" Liu Zexin came in, glancing at the doting father and daughter.
