Starting With SSS-rank: I Get A New Skill Every Livestream-Chapter 45: Who are you
Maid Anna, the head maid of the Astortiahousehold, was walking down the gallery to collect the early morning flowers from the garden and arrange them in the reception hall.
The other servants had begun to stir as well, tidying up the house, though their movements were nowhere near as attentive as hers. It was understandable, given that it was only half past four in the morning.
She had grown accustomed to this routine long ago, thanks to her upbringing as someone destined to serve the Astortia family.
The clan might have declined in the distant past, during the beginning phase of Astortia Mathew’s rule, but she never wavered from her decision.
If she remembered correctly, it began when Mathew failed to awaken a strong skill and couldn’t leave a meaningful impression on the Ten Petal clans.
Then came the incident that pushed the Astortia clan to the brink of losing its status as one of the prominent families in the country.
Astortia Mathew had failed to seal a Grade I rift, resulting in the deaths of over two thousand civilians. It became one of the darkest days for sorcerers living in Fortis, as nothing of that scale had ever happened before.
The government had to step in to prevent the truth from spreading.
That was when they introduced a lie to the public, claiming an incurable virus had polluted the air, especially in isolated areas, to keep people away.
Thankfully, the world government supported the decision, and the narrative spread. Now, the world lives under the shadow of a fabricated pandemic.
And it had all begun with one man.
One failure.
"Hmm?" Anna paused as something caught the corner of her eye.
She was near the entrance, heading toward the garden, when she saw him. A familiar dark-haired young man was walking toward her, his face partially hidden behind a mask and a hood pulled over his head. It was unmistakably the young master.
"Young Master Kyle... why are you here so early? Ah... did you perhaps not return home yesterday?"
Kyle removed his mask before replying, "I actually forgot my bag here yesterday. My assignment is in it, so I can’t go to the university without it."
Anna let out a soft "ah" in realization, but then frowned slightly. "Where did you leave it? The maids cleaned the house yesterday and didn’t mention finding any unknown bag."
Kyle gave a wry smile. "I am sure I left it beside Blake’s bed. Don’t worry about it, I will go fetch it."
The maid gave a brief bow before Kyle walked past her and headed toward the house.
She turned to look at him over her shoulder and let out a quiet sigh.
Whenever she saw Kyle, she felt as though she was looking at another Mathew.
Not because of failure, but because of the way he always recovered from any situation, as if nothing could truly shake him.
’I hope you don’t get crushed under those unspoken emotions, young master.’
...
Kyle moved through the reception hall, cautiously glancing around to check if his mother was awake.
Thankfully, she was nowhere in sight.
If her routine remained unchanged, she would wake up in about an hour. That was precisely why he had chosen this time to return.
Yes, he had sacrificed his precious sleep by waking up at nearly three thirty, but it was fine.
His brother’s condition was critical, and as the system had stated, the sooner he could feed him the potion, the higher the chances of a quicker recovery.
As he approached the stairs, he asked the system, ’Can you check if someone is watching or following me?’
[Inspecting using God’s Eye...]
He didn’t need to turn his head for the skill to work.
A few seconds later, the system responded.
[No, host. No one is following you. However, there are seven cameras currently positioned at angles that have captured you heading toward your brother’s room.]
That was bad, though not unexpected.
Naturally, the main house of the Astortia clan would be filled with surveillance. But once Blake recovered, the first question everyone would ask was how.
How could someone survive and recover from a near-death state?
The system had clearly stated that aether circuits did not repair on their own.
Normally, it would take a special-grade healer to restore them, and there wasn’t one in Fortis. Perhaps not even in the entire country.
Which meant the question would inevitably arise: who caused this miracle?
This wasn’t the first time Kyle had thought about it. In fact, he was more worried about the complications that would follow than his brother’s current condition.
Because he knew one thing for certain.
These miraculous potions would undoubtedly heal Blake.
’Right now, I can only hope my parents question me themselves instead of involving the PSC.’
He exhaled a quiet sigh and pushed open Blake’s room.
As he stepped closer to the bed, he noticed Blake’s complexion had grown paler compared to the last time he saw him.
[Analyzing...]
[Host, the effect of the Red Elixir is fading rapidly. The target’s body has used most of its essence to maintain the Genesis throughout the body rather than repairing the damage.]
Well, Blake wasn’t a machine he could control at will, so Kyle couldn’t blame him.
On the other hand, he believed that because of the elixir he had already given him, Blake might not have suffered as much as he would have over the past two days.
Taking a deep breath, Kyle took out the red elixirs. Following the system’s instructions, he uncorked both vials at once.
Sitting on the edge of the bed, he carefully lifted Blake’s upper body and brought the vials to his lips. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Tilting them, he poured the liquid in.
Blake’s throat moved faintly as the red fluid slid down, entering his system.
Kyle activated God’s Eye, closely monitoring the changes within his body.
[Analyzing intake...]
[Red Elixir detected entering the target system.]

[Dispersal commencing...]
[Fluid entering primary circulation channels.]
[Energy signature detected. Converting liquid essence into active potent Genesis.]
[Aether infusion spreading through vascular network.]
[Redirecting flow toward damaged regions.]
[Scanning internal structures...]
[Severe damage detected in aether circuits.]
[Microfractures present across multiple nodes.]
[Initiating restoration sequence.]
[Genesis saturation increasing...]
[Reinforcing weakened pathways.]
[Stabilizing core circuit flow.]
[Genesis function responding...]
[Residual Genesis energy detected. Synchronizing with incoming aether.]
[Repair rate accelerating.]
[Cellular regeneration triggered.]
[Damaged tissues receiving enhanced vitality.]
[Reconstruction of internal pathways in progress.]
[Warning: Excess strain detected in lower circuit branches.]
[Redistributing elixir to maintain balance.]
[Stabilization successful.]
[Vital signs improving.]
[Aether circulation normalized.]
[Restoration at 64%... increasing.]
[Host, the target’s condition is stabilizing. Continued infusion will result in progressive recovery.]
Kyle smiled briefly...thankfully, it worked.
It worked!
Shaking his head, he looked at his brother’s now more redder face before muttering, "Barely saved you-"
Kyle’s eyes widened as suddenly, Blake grabbed his throat, his eyes snapped open.
"Who are you?"
