Starting with Proficiency Panel-Chapter 765: See the Truth Clearly Tomorrow (New Book Content)
"Shut up!!!"
A multitude of voices converged into a wave of Qi, surging towards Jes.
However, these waves dissipated into nothingness within three feet of Jes, like a gentle breeze brushing against his face.
"Hmph!"
Jes snorted coldly, turned, and swiftly left, leaving behind only one sentence.
"This is Gray, unruly fellows, I think the academy's mentors would be very pleased to see unruly students appear."
Anna's body trembled, then she lowered her head. When she lifted it again, those countless eyes had already vanished, leaving only a pair of ruby-like scarlet eyes looking ahead. She then slowly followed the emblem's guidance to her safehouse.
...
...
Li Qing's heart continued to pound intensely for a long time after leaving the school gate. The lingering fear gradually faded.
If he had answered Anna's question like Xiao Bai just now, it might have caused significant trouble, as the other party seemed capable of locating him through his real name.
Just like a demon, if one's real name is exposed, they would suffer a fate worse than death.
These guys were too dangerous.
Once calmed, Li Qing couldn't help but reflect, a cold glint flashing in his eyes, and resolved to take revenge if given the chance.
He was not the kind of person who just endures being bullied.
So, did he save the entire world by accident?
He didn't know how long he had walked, maybe an hour, maybe two, or perhaps only ten minutes.
Walking into a foggy area, Li Qing's sense of time became increasingly blurred. After an unknown amount of time, he stopped in front of a small house engulfed in white mist.
The emblem indicated that this was his safehouse.
It was a two-story wooden house with a brick-and-stone structure, a chimney on the roof, a sloping tiled roof, and a path paved with pebblestones extending to the gate, with a small yard full of grass and even a tree of unknown species bearing golden-orange fruits.
Li Qing reached out, placing his hand on a house number by the gate. The light ball conjured in his mind flickered slightly, and he felt as if the silent house before him had come to life, a sense of kinship emerging.
His expression turned peculiar, as if he had just given birth to a child.
With a slight stirring of thought, the previously dim house lit up instantly, with soft light streaming through the windows, finally easing his tense heart slightly.
The gate opened automatically, and the house door slowly opened as well, welcoming its new owner.
Li Qing walked inside, where a sofa set surrounded a fireplace, with deer heads hanging on both sides. Nearby was an open kitchen, and on the other side, an open study.
A soft chandelier emitted orange-yellow light, illuminating the entire house, bringing everything into view.
Upstairs were two bedrooms. Li Qing pressed his hand on the bed, finding the texture smooth.
After going downstairs, he opened the door on the study side, revealing a staircase leading straight down.
It was a basement.
After circling around to ensure nothing seemed out of place, he returned to the basement entrance.
Step by step, he descended, as the wall lamps along the way lit up one by one, like motion-sensor lights, much to Li Qing's curiosity.
Upon entering the basement, he saw tables cluttered with myriad glassware, used for alchemy, and on the other side, a magic altar.
According to the books, it was for summoning otherworldly creatures. Glancing at the magic runes on the altar, Li Qing withdrew, hoping he wasn't misunderstanding, as there seemed to be summoning runes for evil gods among them.
Enough already, Gray Magic Academy was indeed a sanctuary of all taboos, despite the pre-enrollment teachings of "Magic Origin" and "Mage Promotion Path" clearly stating the prohibition of mages who learned summoning techniques from summoning evil gods.
If expanded in the future, he could use magic to continually enlarge the space, perhaps even turning this two-story house into a palace.
But those aspirations were too distant for Li Qing; the road to learning and practicing magic was indeed arduous, and high-level magic involving space was currently beyond his reach.
Li Qing returned to the hall, slumping onto the sofa for a brief rest before heading to the kitchen.
Hmm, nothing there, and even the cabinet was carved with ice element runes for freezing ingredients.
Turning to the study, he found only a few books on the shelves.
"Magic Origin," "Magic Rune Introduction," "Formation of Magic Power," "Magic Theory," "Mage Promotion Path," "Basic Meditation Technique."
All were books listed on the admission letter as permissible for reading. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
According to the emblem's information, Gray Magic Academy had its library, boasting an extensive collection, claiming to contain even books written by gods.
The teaching area, library, magic research lab, and laboratory class areas.
The entire Gray Magic Academy was divided into four zones.
So, time to go back.
Li Qing glanced at the tightly closed house door, stepping forward to grasp the doorknob, which glowed slightly with unknown magic runes as his emblem tattoo emanated a magic pulse, revolved around the knob, then stopped, and he pushed the door open.
Instead of the lawn outside the safehouse, he saw his less than thirty-square-meter single apartment, as if he had just returned from outside and entered.
"I see."
Li Qing realized, the safehouse searched directly via the original path, linking to the door to find an opening channel.
So, the question arises, if it auto-located this way, why was it the door that was used, rather than a drawer or wardrobe?
Could it have chosen the most suitable opening method based on his height?
That's very possible.
With those doubts in mind, Li Qing entered the rented room, lying down on the bed, overwhelmed by an unprecedented sense of security.
Gray Magic Academy's environment was too oppressive, with little room for a lively atmosphere.
It drastically differed from what he imagined, filled with coldness and evil.
It turns out the TV's "Harry Potter" was indeed deceptive; although magic originated from gods, perhaps not from any virtuous deity...
Or rather, what Gray Magic Academy has shown so far is not proper magic at all.
The summoning runes carved on the safehouse's basement altar were clearly inclined towards Hell and the Abyss.
