Starting with Growing Mushrooms-Chapter 484 - 379: Surya’s Grand Adventure in the Cosmos (Part 2)
"Forget it."
Liu Jun took a deep breath and looked at the progress bar.
[Current progress bar: 99%]
The next three choices would soon begin.
However, the resource consumption for each recent Divine Object’s incubation was increasing.
The speed of his cosmos mining team was starting to fall behind a bit.
The ant-like miners outside were carrying resources from various planets, transporting them into his Mushroom Garden to cultivate mushrooms.
But it still wasn’t enough; an expansion of the mining team was likely needed to keep up with the supplies for his sandbox farming.
The recent birthing of parallel worlds, in particular, consumed enormous amounts of resources.
Does the concept of an information-state energy parallel world not consume resources?
That’s a misunderstanding.
Even "virtual online games" themselves require massive electric costs to maintain.
The "electric bill" of his virtual world also demanded a terrifying amount of energy for various structural foundations.
The parallel series of Divine Objects was currently Liu Jun’s biggest resource hog!
This series alone was enough to impoverish Liu Jun.
...
On the other side.
After parting ways with the Longevity God, Surya traveled as a wanderer through a land filled with Divine Era ruins.
He saw this territory from the 2nd to the 39th Divine Era was ruled by Fang Tian.
Fang Tian of the Celestial Will Race seemed to have become a true god of parallel space-time, blocking the entrance.
"He has started searching for the two of us now, guessing our journey to the Immortal Path world."
Surya looked at the world of the Thirty-Ninth Divine Era,
"Fang Tian is indeed a very powerful genius. Even if he is a step slower than us, he is bound to find the right path sooner or later."
"I reckon it won’t be long before he enters the Immortal Path world and a battle ensues."
Surya smiled faintly.
He vaguely predicted the arrival of chaos.
Fang Tian, this ambitious figure, was poised to stand in the middle, blocking both sides in battle!
Can his strength match his ambition?
After all.
A new era produces new gods; this version of the Divine Era World has its advantages.
As a virtual parallel world, the convergence of two realities can simultaneously possess Divine Objects from both sides.
Here, it’s a 1+1 Divine Object world, with the parallel world’s combat power even stronger than in reality!
And you dare enter with a sole Divine Object to challenge my virtual conceptual world’s life?
If you’re not afraid of being killed and having your Divine Object snatched, then by all means, come!
"Forget it, their war has nothing to do with me."
Surya sighed softly.
"I just need to cultivate along the eras, walking toward the future."
He had witnessed the rise and fall of many era’s overlords, the succession of various myths.
Now a new king was emerging, and he had no desire to interfere.
Perhaps, Fang Tian, with his overblown ambition and double front wars, would fade like a shooting star.
Or perhaps, he could establish dominance in the world and become a ruler.
"Since it’s a journey, I should wander elsewhere."
Surya soon set a new goal:
"This place is already a red ocean; now everyone is crafting equipment, and Fang Tian won’t let these parallel worlds go."
"I estimate I won’t find any good talents here."
"Might as well go to the other side."
"I haven’t truly traveled the starry sky of the real world; it’s time to journey through the boundless cosmos."
...
The real cosmos. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
First Divine Era World.
Leaving the Mushroom Soup, Surya gazed at the vast sea of stars.
Countless fleets were setting sail, and a real-world Tower of Babel connected the spatial ocean beneath him.
A vast amount of matter was being gathered from all directions and injected into the World of Gods (Mushroom Soup).
Although Liu Jun paid little attention here after establishing the spatial ocean.
The mining teams remained dutiful, delivering resources.
Every day, a large amount of materials entered Liu Jun’s "pouch."
"To farther places, leave the Taihe system and explore."
In an instant, Surya made his decision.
Previously, everyone was at the Sixth Tier, and their starry sea range was quite limited.
Now, with Seventh Tier power, he had the ability for expansive deep-space travel.
Whoosh—
Surya took a step into the starry sea.
Unlike Liu Jun, a homebody tending to his own patch of land, Surya evidently had a greater spirit of adventure.
He wanted to venture to places no one else had explored.
These Sixth Tier civilizations were precisely his targets.
Given a large enough population base, eventually, some exceptionally good refining materials would appear!
Plus, there was no need to kill.
By capturing them into the parallel world and using the rogue Divine Object to extract their talents, they could be turned into talentless ordinary people.
Although this didn’t change the brutal man-eats-man reality of the Seventh Tier.
Whether at the Seventh or Sixth Tier, it was all equally dark and desperate.
Whoosh!
Surya entered the spatial ocean, swiftly reaching the other side through the ocean currents’ wormholes.
Switching between ocean currents several times, he rapidly journeyed farther and farther away.
Along the way, the ocean bed was filled with various Sixth Tier civilization prisons and some ruins of suicides, piled with civilization waste.
As the True God with transcendent wisdom, he keenly sensed something unusual.
"The quantity of these ocean currents’ ruins doesn’t seem to add up."
God analyzed the known model of the cosmos.
The reason the cosmos was so barren and vast was due to many Sixth Tier civilizations building space trains, plunging into the ocean floor.
Thus, vast lands kept submerging into the ocean, turning the cosmos into sparse island-like planets.
But now, Surya found the submerged ocean-floor ruins somewhat lacking.
The thickness and amount of the ocean floor debris didn’t match.
Surya pondered for a moment, then decisively began testing.
He dug through the ruins, layer by layer, and after countless kilometers, finally drilled down to the bottom of the sedimented debris ruins.
"Is the seafloor of the spatial ocean sloped?"
"So it’s funnel-shaped, or even crack-shaped, washed by ocean currents into some sort of deep space ocean?"
"There’s more space beneath the spatial ocean?"
"Are materials following some slope, all flowing into some mysterious space?"
Surya, with patience, excavated along the sea bottom, frantically conducting archaeology.
Now that he reached the Seventh Tier, he had the capacity for such endeavors.
And he possessed extraordinary wisdom for frantic analysis.
With considerable effort, he mapped out the trajectories of various ocean currents and roughly calculated the location of a nearby crack.
"All the materials are slipping into the water here!"
He tunneled through the bottom of the ruin civilization’s dump, forging a path to the crack’s base.
Finally, he discovered the base of the crack, a glimmering large space bubble.
Just a glance, and Surya instantly grasped it,
"I see."
"In the long cosmic years, some still managed to complete the cosmos’ three environmental trials, emerging from black holes, escaping the spatial ocean, breaking self-boundaries."
"They became victors amidst countless civilization ruins, completing the three trials, breaking through to the Seventh Tier."
