Starting Sign-In from a Billionaire God-Chapter 850
Yuncheng Railway Station.
A train arriving from out of town stopped at the station, the broadcast repeatedly playing: "Dear passenger friends, this is our terminal station Yuncheng Railway Station, please take your luggage and belongings and disembark at this station…"
A man dressed in a Tang suit was seen stepping off the train with the crowd. He drew particular attention due to his attire, which stood out starkly from those around him, as if he had come from another era.
The man appeared to be in his thirties or forties, with a stern face, a straight posture, and a steady gait. Though his clothes were old-fashioned and plain, they were remarkably clean and neat, indicating he was a very disciplined person.
Such people are often not to be trifled with.
The man in the Tang suit walked out of the station, glanced around, and headed in one direction. At the train station's exit, someone was waiting for him.
Li Haoming, the second young master of Yun City's Li Family.
"Senior brother, you're here! Long time no see." Li Haoming greeted him with a smile.
The man in the Tang suit seemed to lack the ability for pleasantries; his face showed no smile as he merely nodded and said, "Where's the expert you spoke of? Take me to him."
Li Haoming laughed and said, "No rush, senior brother, you must be hungry after your long journey. Let me take you for some food first, as a welcoming gesture…"
The man in the Tang suit said, "No need, I'm here just for that expert, nothing else matters, I can eat later."
"This…" Li Haoming was a bit troubled, hemming and hawing, wanting to say more but hesitating.
The man in the Tang suit frowned: "Is there a problem?"
Of course, there's a problem. Li Jian had instructed Li Haoming that the matter with Lin Fan was settled and they should not seek him out. Now that the man in the Tang suit had arrived to find Lin Fan, it conflicted with Li Jian's instructions.
Li Haoming forced a smile: "There's no problem, just that the situation has changed. You see... my father instructed me not to engage with that person for the moment, so it might have been a wasted trip for you this time. I called that day intending to tell you not to come, but you were already on the train... so I can only explain face-to-face now. How about I welcome you first, and send you back tomorrow?"
The man in the Tang suit was silent for a moment, then said, "Just tell me truthfully, did that person really beat you instantly?"
Li Haoming said, "Yes, he is the most formidable master I've seen outside of our sect. I never thought there could be such a master in the world…"
Li Haoming started practicing martial arts at age five, and later, due to his talent, he caught the eye of a renowned master and was taken under his tutelage. The master was a reclusive expert, elderly, long retired from the Jianghu, with only five disciples including Li Haoming.
Senior brother, the man in the Tang suit, and another senior sister always served by the master's side, living with him in a village deep in the mountains.
After being defeated by Lin Fan, Li Haoming was so indignant that he wanted someone to teach Lin Fan a lesson; the first person he thought of was his senior brother, the man in the Tang suit.
This man was obsessed with martial arts, extremely passionate and focused. He had served their master for years with his sole purpose being to practice martial arts; naturally, such dedication led to great accomplishments, and he was recognized as an expert.
Li Haoming admired this senior brother greatly. Since the man often wore a stern face and rarely smiled, Li Haoming would often mimic him, wearing the same severe expression, thinking it looked cool and intimidating.
Unfortunately, Li Haoming was just putting on a show; looking formidable wasn't truly being formidable. When he encountered Lin Fan, he was defeated instantly.
But the man in the Tang suit was different; he was a true expert, the type who was cold and unfeeling, focused on martial arts.
Li Haoming believed that as long as his senior brother showed up, Lin Fan would surely kneel down in submission. This was precisely why he had to persuade his senior brother to go back. If his senior brother beat up Lin Fan, it would go against Li Jian's orders.
The man in the Tang suit said, "That's enough, I don't care about anything else; when encountering a true master, one must spar, or what's the point of practicing martial arts?"
Besides his master, the man in the Tang suit had never met an opponent in his life. Encountering Lin Fan, someone who could instantly defeat a fairly talented Li Haoming, left the man itching for a fight. He rushed over immediately, unwilling to leave without seeing Lin Fan.
As for Li Jian's instructions, he didn't care at all; Li Jian wasn't his father, and he wouldn't yield to him. Li Jian meant nothing compared to his determination to challenge Lin Fan.
Li Haoming smiled wryly, knowing he couldn't stop his senior brother. This senior brother was cold and didn't care about human relations; all he cared for was martial arts.
If they couldn't see Lin Fan, it would likely end badly.
"Well…" Li Haoming's eyes flashed as he said, "It's not that I don't want to take you to find that person; I've heard he's currently not in Yun City. Perhaps senior brother could stay at my place, and I'll take you to him when he returns."
The man in the Tang suit insisted on seeing Lin Fan, so stalling was the only option.
"Senior brother, my car is over there, please…" Li Haoming said with an awkward smile.
Suddenly, the man in the Tang suit reached out, grabbing Li Haoming's wrist with lightning speed. Before Li Haoming could react, he was pinned by the man.
Li Haoming wasn't lacking in cultivation, but he couldn't resist the man in the Tang suit.
"I rarely interact with people, but if you think you can deceive me, you're wrong. Your eyes have already betrayed you. Take me to him, right now." The man in the Tang suit said coldly.
Li Haoming felt as if the man would break his hand with just a little force.
Knowing he couldn't defy the man, Li Haoming thought better of it. This senior brother was cold-blooded and likely wouldn't care about brotherhood; if he was angered, he wouldn't hesitate to disable him.
Li Haoming smiled wryly, resigned, and said, "Alright, I'll take you there, but I have one condition. When you go to find him, I won't accompany you, and you must not reveal me."
"Sure!" the man in the Tang suit replied, releasing his grip.
Li Haoming rubbed his aching wrist and said, "This way, senior brother. Around this time, that rascal Lin Fan should be in his company…"
Then, Li Haoming and the man in the Tang suit got into the car and headed straight to Celestial Aviation Headquarters.
Near the company, Li Haoming stopped the car and said, "That big gate over there, senior brother, remember not to mention that I brought you…"
Bam!
Before he finished speaking, the man in the Tang suit had already exited the car, shut the door, and headed straight for the company's entrance.
At the company entrance, the man in the Tang suit was stopped by a security guard, who asked, "Sir, who are you here to see?"
The man in the Tang suit said, "I'm here to see Lin Fan; take me to him."
The security guard, hearing him call the chairman by his name, sensed trouble, and asked warily, "Sir, what business do you have with our chairman?"
The man in the Tang suit replied bluntly, "To fight."
The security guard was stunned. This guy intended to fight the chairman and expected him to lead the way? Did he think he was just any old security guard to be toyed with?
"Sir, you must be joking. You'd better leave, or else…"
Before the security guard finished his sentence, he found himself flat on the ground, taken down by the man in the Tang suit.
Sidestepping the security guard, the man in the Tang suit strode into the company door.
Li Haoming watched from a distance, cold sweat breaking out—this was escalating quickly. But on second thought, since he had hidden himself away, he wouldn't be implicated regardless. Lin Fan surely deserved a beating, so he might as well let his senior brother do it…
