Starforce Warriors-Chapter 931: Fragment Of The Silver Sword
Lao Rui quickly told her that no one else knew about it, and she had not reported it to anyone. After all, Xue Xiangyang was Elder Lao’s beloved pet, so after she confirmed the news, she came to report to Elder Lao at the first opportunity. Lao Xinhua assured her that she had done very well and that she would report this to the clan and grant her the greatest reward.
“Thank you, Elder, I...” Lao Rui began to say. But before she could finish, her expression suddenly froze. She stared at her clan elder in disbelief and said, “Elder, why...why are you doing this?”
Lao Xinhua did not explain as she crushed Lao Rui’s source of life, killing her instantly. After double-checking, Lao Xinhua extracted the source poison from Lao Rui and carefully preserved it. Only then did she dispose of the corpse.
Lao Xinhua sighed. “I am sorry, Granny Rui. You have served the clan diligently for so many years, but I still had to kill you. I know you did it for my sake. But I could not bear to give up Xue Xiangyang. I’ve known for a long time that he was a traitor, but I just could not bring myself to harm him.
“The treasure was lost by the Hui Yao clan, and the ones who suffered the greatest casualties were the other clans. Even if Xue Xiangyang has stolen my source poison, I don’t care. As long as I can be with him forever, the lives and deaths of others have nothing to do with me.”
A trace of struggle appeared on Lao Xinhua’s cold and delicate face, but it quickly turned into a determined and resolute expression. Then, she turned around and left for the medicinal bath pool. The closer she got to the medicinal bath pool, the lighter her steps became and the brighter her smile grew.

There was an abandoned station at the port for toxic waste materials. This was the most dangerous place in the entire port, because it contained heaps of extremely toxic waste piled up like small mountains.
There were cultivation excretions from Reapers, pill residues, bones, and all kinds of domestic waste. Even high-level Reapers were unwilling to come here. If they stayed too long in this toxic environment, they would also contract deadly diseases, leading to a decline in their cultivation and eventual death.
Yet every once in a while, this place still needed to be cleaned. Thus, the ones who did the cleaning were human slaves. Human warriors, treated as consumables, paid with their lives to collect and process the toxic waste and pill residues produced by millions of Reapers at the port. These were then loaded onto starships and transported to a garbage planet for disposal.
Suddenly, more than a dozen blood-soaked figures tore through the sky, breaking the silence.
“Quick, stop the bleeding and hide your breath,” someone commanded.
“Follow the original plan,” a young man ordered loudly.
The other human warriors varied in age and appearance, but they all clearly trusted the young man and immediately began following his commands. They wiped the blood from their bodies, then took out prepared porcelain jars and smeared the thick, foul-smelling liquid evenly over their entire bodies.
This ointment had been refined from the excrement of high-level Reapers. It was considerably toxic, but it could perfectly mask the scent of their blood and allowed them to temporarily possess the unique aura of the Reaper species. As long as they had this, they would not be recognized as human.
“It’s a pity,” sighed a tall man with a beard. “We didn’t get back the Grand Commander’s blade.”
The other warriors also showed expressions of unwillingness. That dark blade was more than just a weapon. It was also the spiritual totem of the resistance. When that blade began to swing in every battle, the morale of all the warriors of the resistance would rise as they followed its wielder against any enemy.
“It doesn’t matter,” the young leader consoled them. “We got the Time Jade.”
With this treasure, they would be able to enter the Holy Ruins and find the trapped Sword Immortal, Lin Beichen. With his guidance, they would surely turn the tide of battle and achieve victory.
Everyone became excited. Yes. Their desperate plan had succeeded. With the Time Jade in their hands, they now had the chance to rescue the legendary Sword Immortal Lin Beichen. This was also the last hope of the resistance.
“Go, split up and act according to the original plan. Stay hidden for now,” the young leader ordered again. “Lie low for one month. Do not make any moves until the situation calms down, then we will act...”
Before he finished speaking, a loud, maniacal laugh rang out in the distance. An elder from the Hui Yao clan named Long arrived like a flash of lightning, laughing wildly as he floated in mid-air.
He exclaimed, “A bunch of filthy rats! You only know how to hide in this stinking trash heap. Today, none of you will escape.”
The young leader’s face turned ashen.
“Quick, leave this place!” he urged quietly. He summoned an object into his hand that turned into a silver streak of light and shot toward the pursuing Long. “I’ll hold him off. Go now!”
Boom!
An explosion of energy erupted in the void. Elder Long’s speed was momentarily halted but at the same time, countless whooshing sounds filled the air. Thousands of elite guards from the Hui Yao clan surged forward like a swarm of locusts, appearing from all directions and surrounding the entire area. A vast energy barrier unfolded in the sky. Heaven and earth were completely sealed off.
“This is bad,” the young leader muttered, his face pale.
The other human warriors also wore expressions of shock and fury.
How did the Hui Yao clan’s people chase us down so quickly?
Escaping safely now seemed nearly impossible.
“You little rats, hand over the Time Jade and I’ll give you a quick death,” Elder Long called out, his voice cold and commanding from above.
He seemed cautious and did not advance recklessly. The silver fragment of a sword that the human leader had just unleashed possessed immense power. It was that very fragment that had severely wounded Elder Qi during an earlier ambush.
That silver fragment of a sword could not even be fully countered by the godly human blade that Elder Long wielded. Fortunately, activating that fragment consumed a tremendous amount of energy. The young human leader’s cultivation realm was insufficient to fully unleash its strength, so he could not truly turn the tide of battle.
As the sound of whooshing air increased, the encirclement grew tighter. This exerted a tremendous psychological pressure on the human warriors. Elder Long’s mind raced with countless thoughts.
If he had not been worried that the Time Jade was in the enemy’s possession, and that a large-scale attack might destroy it, he might have already ordered heavy artillery to bombard them without hesitation.
“Brother Xun, what do we do now?” One of the human warriors asked.
Fourteen human warriors gathered around the young leader named Zhu Zhixun. He had once been adopted by the Grand Commander as his foster son, and thus was respected as their leader despite his youth.
He remained calm and thoughtful, then said quietly, “This toxic waste station is our territory, and the terrain here favors us. When the fighting starts, I will use the Silver Sword to hold them off. You all run toward the deepest part of the station where the Poison Pit is located. When I lure them over there, detonate the Poison Pit and let these Hui Yao clan scum have a taste of their own medicine.”
The Poison Pit was their hidden trump card in this area. The human warriors had secretly collected some of the most highly toxic materials while cleaning the site and stored them in the core area of the station. They had sealed them and allowed the toxins to ferment and compress over time.
This was the hidden trump card of the underground resistance. Once the Poison Pit was detonated, the explosion would be extremely powerful. Moreover, the toxic gas it released would cause a large number of casualties.
Xiong Gang, the bearded warrior, whispered urgently, “Brother Xun, we cannot withstand that poison either. If we can’t escape in time and all of us die, won’t the Time Jade end up being recovered by them?”
Zhu Zhixun replied, “Don’t worry. I have a plan.”
He looked at everyone and said, “Brothers, ever since we stepped into this port, we have already put life and death aside. Even if the fire burns us, it will only reveal our true steel. For the liberation of our fellow humans, even if our bodies are shattered, we will willingly endure it. Whether we live or die today depends on our own fate.”
Everyone fell silent. A tragic and heroic aura spread through the group. They were all prepared for a desperate, last-ditch battle.
In the next instant, the battle began. Zhu Zhixun swallowed several pills to enhance his Immortal Force, and his entire body visibly swelled as his Immortal Force boiled and surged.
Whoosh!
The silver fragment of the sword turned into a streak of light.
Puff, puff, puff, puff.
The elite guards of the Hui Yao clan fell like wheat before a scythe. There was a ripping sound, like tearing through a balloon as the silver light sliced through the energy barrier in the air.
At the same time, the other human warriors sprang into action. They charged at top speed through the tear in the barrier, heading for the deepest part of the station.
Zhu Zhixun controlled the silver fragment of the sword, blocking Elder Long’s attacks and buying precious time for his companions. Finally, the other human warriors managed to break through the encirclement and raced toward the Poison Pit deep within the station.
A trace of joy appeared on Zhu Zhixun’s face. But just at that moment, an unexpected turn of events occurred. Several agonized screams rang out from the distance. Nine of the thirteen human warriors who had charged out had already retreated, all of them injured and in dire straits.
“What happened?” Zhu Zhixun shouted.
“Brother Xun, there are powerful enemies blocking the way,” Xiong Gang yelled in reply. He was covered in blood, and one of his arms had been severed.
Almost at the same time, a mighty, unstoppable pressure like a divine mountain instantly filled the entire area. Both sides of the battle instinctively ceased fighting and pulled apart.
A single figure appeared, like a goddess descending from the heavens. A pair of radiant wings unfolded behind her, casting countless beams of divine light.
It was the Grand Princess. This remarkable genius of the Hui Yao clan had finally arrived. She shone brilliantly, emitting a terrifying energy that sapped the will of her enemies. The moment she appeared, she became the focal point of the entire battlefield.
“A group of restless ants,” the Grand Princess said coldly, her voice sharp. “How dare you cause trouble at my banquet? You all must die.”
What was meant to be an occasion to showcase the family’s power and prestige had turned into a farce. The Grand Princess could not tolerate this.
Elder Qi also appeared at her side. This powerful Reaper at the Seven Transformation Realm radiated a terrifying pressure that made every human warrior’s heart tremble. The appearance of these two mighty figures completely blocked the path to the Poison Pit. It also nearly closed off any possibility of escape.
Zhu Zhixun’s heart sank.
“Hand over the Time Jade,” the Grand Princess demanded, stepping closer and closer.
She held a pair of luminous broad swords in her hands, looking both beautiful and deadly. At that moment, she looked like a battle angel.
Zhu Zhixun took a deep breath and said, “Unless you step over my dead body, you will never get the Time Jade.”
“As you wish,” the Grand Princess said coldly.
She struck instantly. Her speed was so incredible that she appeared in front of Zhu Zhixun in the blink of an eye, slashing down with her sword. Even the void itself seemed to split under the force of her attack.
So fast, Zhu Zhixun thought, his heart pounding wildly.
He realized immediately that he was no match for the Grand Princess. Fortunately, the silver fragment of a sword automatically moved to protect its master. It blocked the light sword with a crisp clang.
“Hm?” the Grand Princess murmured, surprise flashing across her face.
Her gaze landed on the silver fragment, and she said in surprise, “You actually possess such a treasure... but unfortunately, it’s only a fragment, not a complete Silver Sword.”
“Silver Sword?” Zhu Zhixun shouted. “What fragment is it from?”
“You don’t know its origin?” The Grand Princess asked, slightly startled. Then she laughed softly. “So that’s how it is. How ridiculous. Even after all these years, that man’s broken sword fragment has become a stroke of fortune for you filthy half-demons.”
“What fragment is it exactly?” Zhu Zhixun demanded again.
A trace of scorn appeared on the Grand Princess’s face.
“Do you think you can stall for time by asking so many questions?” She asked, her voice full of disdain. She shone brilliantly, radiating a powerful confidence that everything was already in her grasp. “Fine, I’ll tell you. That fragment came from the sword once carried by your revered Sword Immortal Lin Beichen. It was shattered by the Ancestor of Wisdom, leaving behind this broken blade.”
