Star Wars: Daimon's Story-Chapter 55: Archduchess Sera
Chapter 55 - Archduchess Sera
Imperial Year - 87 (6891BBY)
Taking a sip of some Stoneheart Mead, Daimon read over the reports of all the things that have happened since the Aruzans have been integrated into the Imperium. At first the people had experienced a small culture shock due to the advanced technology that was introduced into their world. But now the world had completely caught up with other worlds in terms of technology and culture.
10% of the population had already migrated off world to live within either Veldari or some of the other colony worlds which existed within the Imperium. A large portion of them joined the military where they had some impressive results which made them great warriors for the Imperium. This was a large portion owing to Daimon marrying one of their own, resulting in a rapid unification of traditional values with Imperial values.
The Gen'Dai welcomed the Aruzans into the Imperium with open arms as they too had been brought up by the God-Emperor. They didn't act hostile towards other races, but because of their direct connection with Daimon, there was a type of superiority that the Gen'Dai had over all other races.
He continued to read about how the Kaleesh species were rapidly integrated thanks to their violent nature and love for battle. Their warlike nature made them great soldiers who preferred to use kinetic weapons for the most part. But after a few decades, Daimon wanted them to start using the more superior firepower that the Imperium could offer.
After a few more minutes of reading reports, Sera had walked in alongside her daughter. Yes, Sera had gotten married to one of the first orphaned children that Daimon picked himself for their talents. His name was Davin Krell, and he worked within the Imperial Treasury. The two had met each other during one of Daimon's visits to the Treasury office, and they had immediately hit it off.
Daimon could see their connection from the moment they began to talk to each other and had convinced Davin to ask Sera out. He was a little hesitant at first considering Sera's status which was directly connected to God-Emperor. But after thinking about it, he went for it and the two began dating and then eventually after 5 years married each other.
Sera was granted the rank Archduchess, a rank which Daimon had just recently created alongside a dozen others. He wanted to create a nobility class to grant powerful people the ability to continue their bloodline and continue to produce powerful people for the Imperium.
Since Sera was already granted immortality from Daimon, her children would naturally also be immortal. She only had one child so far but planned on having more in the coming decades as she didn't want to have dozens of children in one century. Her daughter was named Lyra Krell, and she was 8 years old now, rapidly growing thanks to both her parent's genes.
As soon as she saw Daimon, she ran towards him and jumped on his lap. "Uncle D" she called out as that was the nickname she had created for him. "Hello Lyra, how have you been?" he asked, ruffling her hair. Lyra looked up at him and smiled, "Great! We just came from the Imperial Zoo and there were so many different animals that I've never seen before," she exclaimed.
Daimon chuckled as he answered her, "Did you see them all? Or were there too many?" She placed her finger on her chin as she began to think. "I think we saw most of them." Sera who stood next to them joined the conversation. "We saw every animal there was. Even the ones you've never heard about." Lyra looked at Daimon again before asking him a question that caught him off guard.
"Do you have any children?" she asked. He paused for a moment as he realized what she had just asked him. It was not something that he was expecting her or anyone else to ever ask him, at least not in a long time. "I don't, maybe one day I will."
Sera knew about his plans for the next couple of millennia or so and how long it would take for somebody to be born from his own bloodline. She didn't say anything about this when Lyra asked questions like these as it was entertaining to see Daimon in such situations. As Sera took a seat across from him, Lyra jumped off his lap and ran over to her. "You should have hundreds of children by now, Uncle D," she said seriously. "That way I could have lots of cousins." Daimon chuckled. "One day you might wake up and find just that. We'll see."

Changing the subject, Sera filled Daimon in on the latest news within the Imperial Treasury. "With more resources going to the new sectors, some projects are in need of additional funding. The ring world alone takes a lot of resources to sustain."
"Shift everything, we can spare," Daimon replied. "And tell Nyssa to prioritize key projects so that we stay ahead on all fronts." Sera nodded, already making mental notes. Around them, the city thrived with activity. Bots zoomed past with packages, overhead transports flitted between buildings, and citizens moved purposefully along elevated walkways.
Lyra watched it all with wide eyes, her wonder a reflection of what many felt in the Imperium, a sort of awe at what was being built and how quickly it was growing. Satisfied that things were proceeding smoothly within the Imperium, Daimon's thoughts turned to other long-term objectives.
At the top of his list was the Star Forge and its creators, the Rakata. From his memory, they still existed in isolated pockets, having retreated after their empire's collapse. Their prowess in biotechnology and deep understanding of Force-infused machinery held great interest for Daimon.
But reaching them would take time and patience, as he would need to find their system which was much harder to find than Mortis. He guessed the reason for this was because Mortis was like a Force Realm which allowed him to detect its presence. While the Rakatan homeworld of Lehon wasn't even a Force Nexus.

A year later. As expected, the Sith began to establish a strong presence within the Outer Rim without any Republic interference. They managed to colonize a handful of other worlds but still had centuries to go before they had the resources and manpower to expand more rapidly. Their isolation allowed them to grow at a steady pace. With Daimon's mentorship at critical points of development, they were on the path to becoming a major power.
Their unique warfare methods made them formidable in the short term but also assured that they had a place that would last generationally. Unlike the Sith from his memory, this new version was different on multiple levels. They had a clear structure that helped with efficiency and internal stability, but it also cultivated internal alliances.
They would remain separated from the rest of the known galaxy for the next millennia or so, which gave them ample time to build up their military, conquer other species, and create powerful Force Users.
However, they weren't the only ones expanding during this time. On Mandalore, the Mandalorians were still in their developing stages. They had yet to leave their world and become major players on the galactic stage. But given a few centuries and they would expand to the other planets of their systems. A few millennia and then the nearby systems would also be theirs to claim.
From there, they would continue to build up their strength and expand for multiple centuries and become one of the main catalysts for the Sith to rise from the shadows. The thought of them becoming a powerful force in the galaxy amused Daimon as he could see their potential. Thousands of years from now, they would be on par with some of the most powerful factions in the galaxy, before ultimately being defeated 3 times in a row by Sith then 2 separate Republic forces.
At the rate they are developing now, Daimon figured that he could let them fully develop into a proper fighting force for a few centuries before stepping in like he did with the Dark Jedi turned Sith.
He wasn't doing all of this for nothing. He could see their potential in the future when they were at their peak, had developed a lot more, and had faced defeat several times. Once they reached this point then he would come in and conquer them for himself. Right now, he left them alone so that they could create the Mandalorian society that he remembered.
