In a fissure underground.

The Sword Sovereign was seated in meditation when he suddenly opened his eyes. “That kid... seems to want to convene with us. He’s just been in touch with the Orchid Forest master... What, is he about to make a move?”

He smiled, not with disappointment. It was just that he’d been wondering if the guy could bring about some surprises. It now looked like Li Hao was out of ideas. Were they about to work together against the Orchid Forest master and take the world for themselves?

That was just as well, it was about time. They’d been waiting for almost a month and the Sword Sovereign was growing anxious that they still hadn’t made a move.

“You aren’t going to attack yet?” blinked the Sword Sovereign. “But it’s about time. I think that the Orchid Forest master is about to ascend. He’ll be a tough opponent once he advances!”

Killing the other and seizing Orchid Forest would essentially put him at seventh rank, if not fully a seventh rank. This was a rare opportunity. Red Moon would hardly be able to keep themselves in check for much longer if New Martial didn’t make a move now.

“We won’t attack for now... and won’t even attack Orchid Forest in the time to come. I’d like to help their world master set foot into seventh rank!”

“......” The Sword Sovereign paused. What the hell? Do I have a hearing problem?

“The Orchid Forest master will absolutely run for it if he has a chance to. He won’t stay at Red Moon if he can help it. Therefore, I’d like to... clean out Red Moon!”

“......” Ringing silence! The Sword Sovereign had sunk deep into contemplation. Am I mishearing things, or has someone gone crazy?

While Li Hao hadn’t spoken of opening the Skyward dao universe, Void had outright guessed at it. Clearly, the man had either considered this matter before or was extremely intelligent. Li Hao severely suspected that Void had thought through all of this before!

The plan had been decided upon. Although the most carefully laid arrangements never survived the first engagement, the general direction was set. If anything unexpected happened in the middle... then they would have to adjust on the fly.

The Sword Sovereign had found it strange, even inappropriate, at first that the two were friends. Now he realized that it was a case of like drawing to like. Both of them appeared genteel and refined, but were unable to stay out of the limelight at their core.

It was no surprise at all that the two had met and struck up a friendship in the chaos.

“Since it is so decided, I have no other opinions,” transmitted the Sword Sovereign. “But there’s a few details that we need to be sure of in advance. The slightest misstep in stealing from an eighth rank world will lead to death! Although we are unafraid of death, no one really wishes to die.

“For example, what if the Orchid Forest master betrays us...”

They were already considering the possibility of betrayal. One needed to be on guard against it!

The Sword Sovereign felt that there were some holes still in Li Hao’s plan. Are you sure that the Orchid Forest master will still be wary of us when he becomes a seventh rank? What if he sells us out to the enemy instead?
