SSS Ranked Shadow Monarch: Summoning Infinite Shadows-Chapter 241: Final Move
Aren wasn’t willing to allow Casper to understand what was happening. He was already risking his life at this point, so he had to go all out and win this.
Aren pressed his foot against the ground hard. It cracked as he launched forward, his eyes turned red in that moment. It almost seemed like the space around him was bending and twisting.
BOOM
He shot ahead.
’All I need is one opportunity, one moment, and I’ll get through and make it to Athena,’ Aren reminded himself as he moved. He swung his hand forward with all his strength. The ancient devourer curved in the air, its dragon mouth roaring into the sky.
"My desire to save her will surpass all!" Aren bellowed from the depths of his soul. He slashed down, the dragon head came down toward Casper like a meteor falling from space.
Casper looked up. He gritted his teeth in anger, placing one foot behind him. He kicked the ground and retreated backwards immediately. His speed was extremely fast, but he only barely managed to evade the attack.
The dragon head slammed into the ground, a massive crater was formed. A shock wave tore through the air and slammed into Casper, throwing him back.
The dragon perked up from there and lunged at Casper again, rushing forward like a train. This time, Casper was unable to dodge. The attack slammed into his chest and he was thrown back, bouncing into the ground hard. He rolled for a few meters before stopping.
Casper looked at Aren with disbelief. He clutched his stomach hard, his eyes shaky. A mix of rage and bewilderment filled him. He had never lost a battle like this before.
He was Casper. He was Casper. He adapted to everything. He was inevitable.
Casper suddenly gripped his head in rage and pain. "Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" he screamed from the bottom of his soul. Massive shock waves suddenly started spreading outwards.
Aren was shocked as well. He kept his distance, looking at Casper with a wary gaze. His guard was as high as it could be, his eyes were pinned to Casper.
"I,,,,,, am inevitable." Casper growled. He punched one hand into the ground, and then looked at Aren. His eyes had turned black and black tears were streaming down his face, and black veins bulged all over his face.
"I am the definition of inevitable." Casper growled as he rose to his feet. The shock waves kept happening in a repeated wave fashion.
He looked at Aren and then slowly lifted his hands up like he wanted to catch something. Then he snapped his hands closed, and then looked right at Aren. "You do not deserve to exist. Anything that chooses to defy me, to defy logic, does not deserve to exist, for I am logic," Casper said.
The shockwaves got even faster and heavier. Aren was getting pushed back slowly. He lifted his hands to look through the dust and wind that was flying. He kept his gaze steady and forced himself to concentrate.
’What the hell is he doing now? His power is rising rapidly, is he adapting to the sword? No, that’s not possible, this level of strength can’t be for my sword. It’s reaching different levels of power right now. His aura is getting scary close to that of Geisha.’ Aren tried to analyze what was happening now. Was his understanding of Casper’s ability wrong?
"I have decided that the concept of you is my enemy, and your future potential as well," Casper suddenly said. His words hit Aren like a hammer. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
"What? My future potential?" Aren muttered.
"Your future potential. Everything that you are and might be, and as it stands, your potential seems to be endless, which means I can keep going until I can destroy you in one swoop," Casper said, his expression slowly shifting into a wicked smile as his aura exploded outward even further, becoming extremely dangerous.
’This is pure madness at this point, I can’t even defy him? What the hell do you mean you stand against my future potential, how does that logic even make sense?
This dude’s ability is completely bullshit. How can there exist someone like this?’ Aren thought to himself. How could he be seen as the anomaly, when beings like this existed right in the Domain? How was that even relatively fair?
Aren gritted his teeth. He gripped the Ancient Devourer harder, and then turned his hands, allowing his blood to drop onto the sword. It glowed even more, its power rising rapidly and so did its hunger.
Aren gripped the sword. He closed his eyes for a few seconds to gather himself. "All I have to do is get closer to him and touch him. The moment I do, it’s all over," Aren said to himself. He came to his final plan, the one that would have to work or he would have no other move to make.
He pressed his foot hard against the ground and blasted forward, tearing through the shockwaves. His speed reached insane heights in an instant, his skin felt like it was turning inside out.
He clenched his jaw even harder, pushing himself to move faster as he got closer to Casper.
When he was within range, he leaped into the air and hacked down with all his strength.
"Arghhhhhhhhhhh!" Aren roared, swinging down as the dragon head coiled and came down.
Casper looked up. He wasn’t bothered or worried. He simply lifted one hand to stop the head.
What Casper didn’t expect was that Aren had let go of the sword, and had also summoned a shadow ant when Casper wasn’t looking. The ant got closer to Casper, and then Aren used switch.
He appeared behind Casper, who was about to block the dragon head. Casper’s head snapped to the side, looking right at Aren. He was slightly stunned that Aren was close to him, but he wasn’t worried.
Aren then stretched his hands fast and grazed Casper. In that instant, Aren and Casper vanished from the town.
