SSS Ranked Shadow Monarch: Summoning Infinite Shadows-Chapter 232: Versus the lizardman

Aren looked around as multiple Panthers attacked from all around, but he wasn’t fazed. He summoned multiple shadows at the same time and instantly the battle began, but Aren stood in the middle doing nothing. He believed that his shadows would handle everything.

Well, that was until he discovered that there were more panthers than he could even hope to count with his shadows. More and more kept attacking.

A panther came from the front, rushing at Aren at full speed. It had managed to get through all the shadows that were there.

"This is bad." He muttered. Their numbers were not reducing, but they were simply increasing.

"I haven’t been forced to fight by myself for a very long time, tch." Aren clicked his tongue before unleashing a wave of shadow blades through the air. The panther began dodging as fast as it could, its nimble motions allowed it to get through a wave, but that didn’t last long as Aren’s attacks slashed into its body. Blood gushed out like a fountain and it crashed to the ground.

That panther barely had time to fall before another rushed at Aren, and then another, and another. Three Panthers all locked on him, their eyes filled with killing intent.

"Let’s see how you handle this." Aren said as he attacked in a clean strike, unleashing a very large claw strike that ripped through the air at a stunning speed.

The Panthers were stunned by the attack. It moved too fast for them to dodge. It slashed right through them. One managed to dodge, but it cut deep into its shoulder, leaving it bleeding on the floor.

Aren finished it off with a shadow blade, and right in time as more were already coming his way, and their numbers were more now, reaching all the way to ten.

His eyes turned to slits. "Their number is still climbing." He muttered. Their strength wasn’t an issue, but in whatever setting, large numbers were an issue. He gritted his teeth, there was no need to panic or start using special methods yet, he could still easily handle these ones.

Using the same method as before, he unleashed a wave of shadow blades through the air. They cut fast into the formation and immediately destroyed it, killing some Panthers and injuring some, but a good number managed to get through. They lunged at Aren.

"Don’t get ahead of yourselves yet." Aren said. Both his hands crackled with lightning, the bolts grew in size, extremely massive and powerful. He attacked the first panther, his fist slamming into its head. The lightning instantly electrocuted the panther, its body exploded into bits.

He spun around.

Eyes locked on the next panther, he dashed forward instantly.

Fingers wide, he grabbed the neck of the panther and immediately electrocuted it to death. Using the body, he threw it right at the next one, knocking it back.

"Their numbers aren’t reducing." Aren said with a deep frown. He needed to end this and focus on finding Athena. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

"I’m tired of this." Aren closed his eyes. "Shadow domain." He called out.

His domain spread out instantly, covering all the panthers inside, and then instantly, shadow tendrils shot out of the ground and wrapped around them, pulling them to the ground, snapping their necks and killing each one instantly.

Aren stood there at the center, unbothered. These monsters were too weak for him to be bothered by them.

But just when Aren was thinking he had won, a powerful blast shot through the air and slammed into his domain, a blast so powerful that it caused the domain to tremble.

Aren undid his domain to get a better look at whatever was attacking, but he was met with a blast that slammed right into his chest.

BOOM

Aren was thrown back. He slammed into the ground hard, bouncing like a ball and then slamming into a tree. The tree shattered from the impact.

Aren finally came to a stop. Luckily for him, he had used his shadow armor at the right time to block the attack.

Aren slowly got back to his feet. He looked up to see what had attacked him, and what he saw was another beam coming right at him. He reacted fast and crossed his hands, blocking the attack.

BOOM

He was pushed back tens of meters through the forest before the attack finally stopped. He dropped his hands, only to be met with a fist slamming right into his face.

BAM

Aren was sent flying again.

’What the heck is happening, I can’t even sense what is attacking me, it just keeps coming.’ He thought to himself. He used shadow sense as much as he could, trying to find where the attack would come from, but nothing he did worked.

He decided to try something else and use his martial art, trying to sense the right flow, and to his surprise it worked, because he saw the next line of attack, and he immediately reacted to it, stretching out his hand at the right moment. He caught the punch, and without wasting a single heartbeat, he spun midair and hurled the attacker into a tree.

He landed on the ground, stood, and then looked for the attacker. It rose from the ground, reaching almost seven feet tall, a scaly lizard man. Its dark green scales allowed it to blend into the darkness of the forest. Its packed muscles allowed it to move extremely fast, a predator in its natural environment.

"Well this is new." Aren muttered.

The lizardman opened its mouth and unleashed a powerful attack. The beam ripped through the air, headed for Aren. This time he was ready and able to dodge. He moved out of the way fast. The attack slammed into a group of trees and immediately obliterated them.

Aren charged forward to attack, throwing a punch at the lizardman, but its tail moved fast and intercepted the attack, wrapping around Aren’s feet and throwing him back, but midair, Aren summoned Riker, who came down with a powerful slash at the lizardman.
