Chapter 151: CH 151: Deadman awakened?

"Dave?" Tyler and Max chimed in unison, their voices overlapping in a comical harmony. The absurdity of the situation wasn’t lost on them, and they burst into laughter, the sound echoing through the room. Tyler’s eyes crinkled at the corners, and Max’s shoulders shook with mirth.

Lily’s face remained serious, her brow furrowed in concern. "Why will you dream of a dead man?" Tyler managed to choke out between chuckles. "Come on Lily, your dreams are wild."

Lily’s gaze didn’t waver, her eyes locked on her friends. "But it seems so real to me. I saw that he came here? What if he’s still alive out there somewhere?"

Max’s laughter began to subside, and he leaned forward, a patronizing smile on his face. "I doubt that is possible Lily, we all saw that meteor crash on him, and even us that were swept away by the force, we barely made it out alive. So how could Dave be alive?" freewebnσvel.cѳm

Tyler chimed in, his voice dripping with amusement. "And even if he was alive, he’s no match to any one of us." His words were laced with confidence, and he ticked off the reasons on his fingers.

"First, we have powers now, I doubt he has any. And even if he has, it’ll be some random weak power, maybe that beast taming thing that was mentioned by the television guy." He chuckled, a snort escaping his nose.

"Two, I’m the leader of a faction, before he could get here, he’ll have to go through a series of strong individuals, which I’m sure he would have lost to the first person on the first trial. Just as he always loses in swimming back then in high school."

The room erupted into laughter again, with everyone joining in, including Lily. However, her laugh seemed forced, a thin-lipped smile plastered on her face. She knew what she saw in her dream – Tyler, Max, and everyone else present – but none of them were laughing in the dream. The memory sent a shiver down her spine, and she couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was off.

Lily’s mind was still reeling from the conversation, her thoughts consumed by the vivid images of her dream. And with how her dreams worked, she couldn’t shake off the feeling that it might come true.

The fear lingered, making it hard for her to believe that Dave had indeed died that day. The thought of him being alive was almost too much to bear, and she wondered what it would mean for their lives if he was indeed alive.

Just then, someone walked into the room, their voice carrying across the space as they asked, "What’s the dream about?" The group’s discussion about Dave and Lily’s dream had caught their attention, and they seemed curious. Lily’s friends turned to her, expectant gazes waiting for her response.

Lily shrugged, trying to downplay the significance of the dream. "It’s nothing much, just about Dave appearing here," she said, her tone casual.

The newcomer’s eyes lit up with interest. "Appearing here to do what?" he asked, settling into an empty chair.

Lily’s patience was wearing thin, and she let out a slightly annoyed sigh. "Like I said, I just saw him appear. That’s all, end of discussion," she said, her voice firm but polite.

The fellow held up his hands in mock defense, a grin spreading across his face. "Okay, fine. Angry girl," he said, before turning his gaze to the rest of the group.

As he did, he could see them looking at him strangely like he had made Lily angry . "Don’t look at me that way guys, I was just curious," he said, his voice laced with humor. But Lily’s mind remained preoccupied, her thoughts was still consumed by the haunting images of her dream.

The dream discussed was soon forgotten and Tyler had decided to talk about another matter. He faced the guy that just entered whose name was Hermes. "So, what about our movement into the city?" Tyler asked, his voice still laced with excitement. "This Howard guy’s words has just motivated me into doing something."

Hermes’ expression turned thoughtful, his eyes narrowing as he considered the question. "The spaceship should arrive soon," he replied, a hint of satisfaction in his voice.

"It was a lot of trouble stealing it, but dealing with the military men inside was nothing but a piece of cake." He chuckled, a low rumble that seemed to emanate from his chest. "Although the people aren’t trained enough to utilize their powers well, they still had the upper hand compared to the soldiers."

Tyler’s eyes lit up with interest, his mind racing with the possibilities. "We’re still trying to learn the controls," Hermes continued, "so in one or two days, we should be able to move to the city." Tyler nodded, a slow smile spreading across his face.

He seemed to approve of the plan, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. Hermes words had sparked something within him, and he could almost see the city burning, the people cowering in fear. The image seemed to please him, and he nodded again, his jaw set in determination.

Tyler’s face contorted with rage as he bellowed, "Where’s that bald headed man! Haven’t those kids been found yet?!" His voice echoed through the room, the sound waves seeming to shake the very foundations of the building. "I need to know their whereabouts before I leave," he thundered, his eyes blazing with fury.

Just then, the door burst open, and the bald headed man strode in, his eyes fixed on Tyler. "You called for me, master?" Bob asked, his voice measured, though a hint of trepidation lurked beneath the surface.

Tyler’s gaze narrowed, his eyes boring into the man’s very soul. "Have you completed the task I gave you?" he demanded, his voice cold and detached. Bob swallowed hard, his Adam’s apple bobbing up and down as he replied, "S-sir, I did, b-but so far, we haven’t found any of the kids. I swear, we searched everywhere, but we just can’t find them."

Tyler’s expression turned calculating, his eyes glinting with a malevolent light. "So we can’t presume that they’re dead yet, right?" he said, his voice dripping with menace. Bob nodded hastily, his voice barely above a whisper. "Y-yes, I think so."

Tyler’s face twisted in a snarl, and he bellowed, "Then, continue searching for them! They’re alive and out there, so find them for me!"

Bob didn’t hesitate, rushing out of the room as if his life depended on it, driven by fear and a desperate desire to escape Tyler’s wrath.

A couple of minutes later, Bob had came in, informing Tyler that the two kids have been found.
