SSS-Rank Harem Sword: My Lustful Life With Legendary Maidens-Chapter 70: Gaining Subordinates
Raising the Chaotic Harem Sword, Adonis intercepted the massive broadsword, though his arms trembled because of the impact.
Nonetheless, it shocked the leader greatly.
"What’s your level, boy? How did you manage to defend against my level 27 power?"
Adonis smiled faintly in return. "Level 6."
The moment he said that, the leader’s face turned enraged.
Bang!
"Don’t fuck with me, boy."
Adonis was pushed back due to the other party’s overwhelming power. Yet he recovered using his excellent flexibility.
He wiped his lips, smirking.
"There are many things you still don’t know. For now, try to block my next strike."
He challenged him openly, taking a stance with both hands around the hilt.
"Bring it on!" the leader roared. His pride as a senior Shadow Guard would never allow him to admit defeat to a boy far younger than him.
Valentina continued fighting the other Shadow Guards.
Her power was increasing each time she devoured more blood. The vampiric sword started emitting a powerful bloody aura.
Meanwhile, the Harem Sword in Adonis’ hands began to glow with a chaotic violet light, effectively storing massive kinetic energy.
In the next second, he moved.
Whoosh.
Adonis sprinted ahead.
The leader raised his broadsword to chop him down.
At that moment, Adonis activated Backdoor Severance Style.
In an instant, like a slippery shadow, he vanished and then reappeared behind the leader, catching him off guard.
He didn’t get to see how Adonis moved behind his back all of a sudden.
As such, he wasn’t able to react.
Boom.
The chaotic blade landed straight on his back.
But instead of slicing through, it created a small explosion that destroyed the C-grade armor with ease.
Swoosh.
The leader’s body was flung across the air like a useless rag.
His body was scorched on the back, creating painful lacerations.
Adonis couldn’t show any mercy, especially since they had seen Valentina’s wings.
Every one of them must die.
Adonis stepped forward little by little.
The leader of the Shadow Guards lay on the ground, struggling to breathe. His armor was shattered across the back, smoke still rising from the damaged metal. Blood seeped through the broken plates as he tried to push himself up.
Adonis raised the Chaotic Harem Sword and pointed the tip directly at the man’s throat.
"So this is the strength of the upper Duke’s Shadow Guards?" Adonis said mockingly. "How weak!"
The leader glared up at him, breathing heavily.
"You. arrogant brat."
Adonis lifted the sword higher.
"Any last words?"
The man’s expression suddenly changed.
The arrogance disappeared.
Instead, fear appeared.
"Wait!" he shouted suddenly.
Behind him, several of the surviving guards also dropped their weapons.
Clang.
Clang.
Six of them fell to their knees immediately.
"Please spare us!"
Adonis paused.
The leader coughed weakly.
"We— we have families."
Another guard spoke desperately.
"Young lord, I have two children!"
"And I have a wife waiting for me at home!"
"We were only following orders!"
Seeing this, Valentina also stopped fighting.
Her Blood Devourer Sword slowly faded from her hand as she turned to look at them.
One of the guards lowered his head deeply.
"If you spare us, we will serve you, lord."
Adonis’s raised an eyebrow. "Serve me?"
"Yes." The leader forced himself to kneel despite the pain in his back.
"We swear loyalty. From today onward we will become your men. We will do anything you ask."
Valentina walked closer to Adonis, her crimson wings folded slowly behind her.
She looked at the kneeling knights with a cold hurumph.
"Do you really expect him to trust you so easily?"
The leader swallowed blood..
"We have no choice. It better to follow him rather than die mercilessly."
Adonis remained quiet for a moment.
He looked at Valentina. And she looked back.
For several seconds, neither of them spoke.
Then Adonis chuckled softly.
"Well, I never had thought I would change my mind."
Valentina crossed her arms.
"Adonis, You’re actually considering it?"
"Yes. They’re trained personals. It would be simply a waste to throw them away."
Hearing him, the leader looked up hopefully.
"My lord, you will not regret it."
Adonis smiled.
"Oh, I’m sure I won’t."
He lowered the sword.
"But loyalty is not something I take on faith."
The guards stiffened at his words.
"Then how would you like us to swear loyalty my lord?"
"There is a way." he replied.
The leader frowned. "What way?"
Adonis’s smile turned mysterious as he replied, "A forbidden seal."
The Shadow Guards exchanged confused looks.
"Forbidden seal? What is that?"
"Yes. Its called the Astrax’s Pact."
The name didn’t ring any bell to them.
"I have never heard of such a thing." the leader said.
"That’s normal. After all, It comes from the ancient era." Adonis replied casually.
But the shadow guards started trembling. The boy was really mysterious. He even knew forgotten seals from ancient era.
Valentina glanced at him but remained silent.
Adonis stepped closer to the group.
"If you truly want to live, then you will accept this pact."
The leader hesitated, "What does it do?"
"It binds your heart to the pact."
"If you remain loyal, nothing happens."
"But if you betray me, your heart will collapse. And in the after life you will suffer under Astrax for eternity. "
The guards froze. The punishment was too frightening.
One of them whispered nervously.
"Is, is that even possible?"
Adonis shrugged,
"You’re welcome to test it out."
The Chaotic Harem Sword pointed at their throats again.
The message was clear.
The leader closed his eyes.
Then he bowed his head.
"We accept."
The other guards followed immediately.
"We accept the pact."
Adonis nodded, satisfied. "Good."
He stepped forward and raised his hand.
"Then repeat after me."
The guards listened carefully as he began chanting an ancient phrase.
The language sounded strange and heavy, as if it belonged to a forgotten age.
One by one, the Shadow Guards repeated the words.
Soon, a small dark symbol appeared above each of their chests.
Then It sank into their bodies.Straight into their hearts.
For a brief second, each of them gasped.
Then the sensation disappeared.
Silence returned to the alley.
The leader touched his chest, feeling nerved.
"What was that, My lord?"
Adonis smiled calmly.
"Astrax’s acknowledgement. The pact is now complete."
No one dared test its effectiveness.
The risk was obvious.
Adonis sheathed his sword.
"From now on, you belong to me."
The leader and juniors bowed in 90 degrees.
"We are now your shadows, My Lord."
Adonis waved his hand dismissively.
"For now, disappear. Find a new base near the Academy. Stay hidden and wait for my return."
They had no objection.
"It will be done."
Within seconds, the Shadow Guards gathered their wounded and vanished into the darkness of the city.
Valentina looked at Adonis with curiosity.
"You’re collecting subordinates now? Do you have secret ambition to become a king or something?"
Adonis chuckled, then sheathed his sword.
"Its probably most men’s dream. And maybe, mine too."
