Early in the morning, Adelaide was confused when she noticed Adonis was missing from his routine training space.

"Could it be that my son is in a low mood because he has to leave me alone? I should go and check just in case."

While muttering to herself, she headed over to his room.

Oddly enough, the door wasn’t locked tightly.

After a slight push, it opened completely.

As she stepped into the shabby room, a familiar scent, which usually forms amidst carnal exchange, instantly flooded her nostrils.

Her eyes widened. The smell was too dense, too obscene.

She became frozen when her eyes adjusted to the dim morning light coming through the thin curtains, and the scene before her became painfully clear.

Adonis and Millia lay tangled together on the narrow bed. Both of thrm were completely naked.

Millia’s soft mounds pressed against her son’s lean frame, while one leg draped over his hip, and his arm wrapped possessively around her waist.

The bedsheet beneath them were already stained badly.

They must have been going on for hours.

Their face still bore sweat marks across their whole body.

Adelaide’s cheeks flushed red.

She was embarrassed, and a littlr angry due to her maternal protectiveness.

Her son her little boy was no longer a child. And Millia, the gentle girl she had practically raised alongside him, had given herself to him entirely.

"Adonis. Millia." She called at once.

Both started moving at once.

Adonis’s eyes opened first. He blinked once, only to register his mother’s presence.

But calmly, he sat up careful not to jostle Millia too much.

The sheet slipped down to his waist, exposing more of their messy bodies.

Millia woke a second later. Her eyes widened in horror when she saw Adelaide standing there.

She gasped, and yanked the sheet up to cover her breasts. Her cheeks turned scarlet with shame.

"L-Lady Adelaide! I-I’m so sorry! I—"

Almost immediately, tears started forming on her eyes.

"It was I who hopelessly fallen for him. I couldn’t help it. I love him so much. I know I shouldn’t have. I’m just a maid’s daughter, please forgive me."

Adonis felt the responsibility. He stood in front of Millia protectively.

His one arm embraced her shoulders, shielding her nakedness as best he could with the wet sheet.

He then said to Adelaide,

"Mother, Millia is my woman now. I claimed her. She belongs to me, both im body and soul. I won’t let anyone speak ill of her or make her feel lesser for it."

Adelaide looked at his face for a long time.

The figure before her was no longer just her son.

He had become a man..

She exhaled slowly.

"Very well, If that is your choice, Adonis, then I accept it. Millia has always been dear to me. If she is to be my future daughter-in-law. So be it."

Millia let out a shaky sob of relief, burying her face in Adonis’s shoulder.

Adelaide added quickly:

"But set that aside for now. Today is your departure for the Capital City. The Royal Academy is waiting for you. You cannot linger here just because you have tasted the forbidden fruit. You two are still young, and must forge your future first. The carriage is already prepared. You must go, Adonis," she said strictly.

As a parent, she knew what to do for her child’s future.

Millia wiped her eyes and looked at Adonis’ handsome face.

"She’s right, Adonis. This is a lifetime opportunity. You have to become stronger. For yourself, for all of us. I’ll wait for you. No matter how long does it take."

Adonis looked at the two women, understanding they were right.

"You’re right. Both of you."

But deep down, there was reluctance in his heart.

He leaned down and kissed Millia gently, then rose from the bed without shame.

Adelaide politely averted her eyes until he had pulled on his black robes.

By noon, everything was ready.

Unlike his half-siblings, who had departed with fanfare and entourages, Adonis’s send-off was simple.

Just a single sturdy carriage waited in the courtyard, and also two silent guards standing beside the horses.

There was no banners of great Kingsbane Family. No crowds, no grand speeches. Not even his own father’s presence.

Adonis didn’t give a fuck about that old man now.

But Adelaide misunderstood his silence for pain. She felt sorry that her own husband wasn’t present at such a critical moment.

Millia waited beside her, dressed hastily in her usual maid uniform.

Her eyes red but shining with pride.

Adonis approached them.

He hugged his mother first, the way a son should.

"Thank you, Mother. For everything."

Adelaide hugged him back just as hard, pressing a kiss to his forehead.

"Be safe Son. And come back stronger."

Then he turned to Millia.

She stepped forward shyly. He cupped her face and kissed her deeply, right there in the open courtyard, unashamed.

When they parted, her lips were swollen and cheeks flushed.

"Don’t forget to train your Sword Soul in secret Millia. When I come back next tome, I will take you with me, so that no one can harm you over your abnormal awakening. " he whispered to her ears.

Hearing his concerns, her heart trembled. She was already feeling heartbroken imagining the loss of his presence.

But this parting must happen. For him, and their shared future.

"Alright, Darling. But just remember, not just me, but my womanhood will also always wait for your return."

Adonis got turned on by her lewd words, but he had to cool it down.

He climbed into the carriage and the door closed with a soft click.

The driver pulled the reins, naturally the wheels rolled over stone paved road.

Adonis leaned om the small window one last time, raising a hand in farewell.

Adelaide and Millia stood side by side, watching until the carriage disappeared around the horizon.

The journey that will define his future had just begun..
