After a piercing scream, the originally dark space lit up with red lights. Xiao Lin was the first to rush towards the back, quickly followed by Shou and Yi.

"Should we follow them?" Flame Swallow mused, rubbing the dog's head. "It seems like following them wouldn't mean much for me; maybe we should stay out of this chaos!"

The dog seemed to understand what was being said, but this time, it uncooperatively wriggled in Flame Swallow's arms, trying to jump out. "Hey, what are you trying to do? You've only been with me for a day, and you're already planning to defect?"

Flame Swallow furiously gave the dog a flick on the forehead. A whimper came from the dog's throat, sounding a bit aggrieved and unwilling, its ugly face scrunched but appearing exceptionally cute.

Another sharp scream echoed, and the dog couldn't hold back. It feigned a swipe with its paw, causing Flame Swallow to let go. The dog seized the opportunity to jump down and, in the blink of an eye, disappeared from sight.

"Damn it, really pisses me off. Ungrateful thing." Though complaining, Flame Swallow had already chased after the dog.

The scene appeared a bit chaotic with the red lights flashing, and Xiao Lin stood on the outskirts of the room. Inside, a pair of twins seemed to be shielding a girl, their anxious expressions looking around, clearly indicating that another group might be present among them.

Black Crow's tools were now so trivial? Feeling embarrassed by the organization's declining standards, Flame Swallow wondered if Westerners were too weak and had to rely on such aids to win, or if domestic standards were too high, disdainful of these aids— marking a national difference.

The woman's scream should have come from behind the twins. She seemed unharmed, so why was she screaming?

No, the twins weren't protecting this girl but a child already lying on the ground, and the girl's posture seemed a bit odd. From his angle, the twins stood on the same parallel line.

However, they actually stood at a ninety-degree angle, surrounding the child in the middle. One person glanced at the girl but dared not approach easily.

Xiao Lin's face didn't look good. Although Zimu and his brothers didn't like turning their vehicle shop into a high-security residence, living freely as they pleased, these assassins easily infiltrating without them knowing left Xiao Lin with heavier guilt.

Unable to ascertain how many people there were, tired of these assists, Xiao Lin signaled to Shou and Yi behind him. The two moved to block both sides, leaving no exit, a testament to his resolve.

Yi silently put on gloves, black fabric interwoven with silver threads, and was the first to launch an attack, not Xiao Lin.

The dog, having disappeared, quietly nestled near the wall corner, inching closer to the girl. Sniffing the ground, it suddenly opened its mouth, biting an empty section, pulling back diligently while growling softly.

Upon seeing this, Zimu instinctively raised his gun, firing straight above the dog's head. A sharp scream resounded, filling the air with the scent of blood, red tint spreading. "Shit!" a curse rang out, and the dog was swiftly kicked away.

"Dog!" the girl exclaimed upon seeing this. She bit down on her chin in distress, and another curse ensued when she was harshly hit on the head. Zimu took advantage of the chaos to bend forward, trying to deal with the person swiftly.

"Step aside, he's mine!" Flame Swallow crouched down, glancing at the dog knocked to the ground. Nobody in the world could touch his dog, let alone ignore Human Skin Granny's rules.

Due to the blood, the opponent's position became clear. Zimu scrutinized Flame Swallow; he didn't recognize him but, seeing him follow the leader, speculated they might be allies, yet he didn't look like a good person.

"You kicked it earlier?" Flame Swallow politely asked the person who had now shown their true form.

"You are... Granny!" The assassin hadn't paid much attention to the new arrival but trembled upon realizing the figure was an elderly woman, recalling the dog kicked earlier.

"When did Black Crow start recruiting such scum? You're not even qualified to be my opponent." Flame Swallow, now furious, saw his flames shift from pale blue to yellow. "But you touched my dog, so you must die."

Xiao Lin listened from the side, finding it rather amusing. Killing someone over a dog, it seemed, this person's life was truly cheap!

In an instant, a burst of flame slithered like a snake. Guo Guo watched it approaching, mouth agape in shock, believing she'd be burned as well. Yet, as if sentient, the flame only ignited on the assassin, while she merely felt its warmth.

Aah! Screams of agony pierced the air, resonating chillingly. Yi returned to his original position amidst the skirmish, and those wearing Invisibility Cloaks were completely exposed to everyone's view.

The harrowing screams drew the attention of the newly revealed assassins, stupefied by their companion engulfed in flames, neglecting the hostage in hand as they leapt towards Flame Swallow.

The latter shook his head calmly, his hand already flashing with a bizarrely shaped Iron Sword, or maybe it looked like it was made of stainless steel. Either way, it wasn't a good sword, just a particularly strange one.

"That…" The guard had already recognized the sword in Flame Swallow's hand. It was specially forged for Xiao Lin during the operation to eliminate the Liger Gang.

The long sword pierced precisely through the assassin's heart, and the flames that entangled the assassin's body enveloped the long sword, returning to Flame Swallow and gradually retreating.

He withdrew the long sword; the person had already fallen to the ground, without a drop of blood. Out of habit, he wiped the sword clean of filth on the fallen man's body.

The dog's vitality was strong; it got up wobblingly and ran over to Flame Swallow, rubbing its head against his leg. "Tch, now you know who's good, huh?" Picking up the dog, Flame Swallow flicked its forehead, completely ignoring everyone else around.

"Leave one alive, kill all the others!" As soon as the words fell, he was already among five or six people, killing them.

"Boss, we'll handle things here, Hong is injured." Zimu joined the fray, replacing Xiao Lin, as Hong was more important by comparison.

"Leave none alive, kill them all." Xiao Lin withdrew, coming to Hong's side. "Yi, find out who it was, and send their body over."

"Got it!"

Carrying Hong away from the scene, Xiao Lin returned to the dining table, where Guo Guo obediently brought over his black box. "Doctor, I think you'll need this."

Her face was pale; someone indeed wanted to kill her, and if it weren't for this child, perhaps her neck would have had the same cut as his. Those people really infiltrated silently, and while she was in the dark, those twins had already stood in front of them, witnessing them kill someone right before their eyes.

Guo Guo didn't know how to describe it. Without these people, she might truly not be alive now.

"You scared now?" Xiao Lin had already taken gloves out of the medicine box and put them on, washed with disinfectant, and picked out a hook and two hemostats. Guo Guo nodded; she would no longer have doubts. Following these people, at least her life was still intact.

Xiao Lin put on magnifying glasses, as Hong's wound was very deep, unlike an ordinary person's constitution. The unstoppable blood was seeping bit by bit from the wound. "Come help, clamp the two ends tightly, don't move." After controlling the position, Xiao Lin had Guo Guo hold the hemostats and himself separated the wound to suture the damaged area, yet despite using a large amount of hemostatic cotton, it could only temporarily absorb the blood seeping from inside.

"Flame Swallow!" Xiao Lin let out a roar-like shout; he could seal the damaged wound, but he couldn't address the infected constitution here. Hong was no ordinary person; he carried a mixed gangrene, a special type of diabetes, and bacteria could invade anytime, potentially causing sepsis.

"Young Master Xiao?" Flame Swallow quickly appeared in front of Xiao Lin upon hearing the roar.

"Contact the hospital, contact a diabetes doctor, he can't be delayed any longer." Xiao Lin stroked Hong's forehead, his body frightfully hot, and looking at Xiao Lin was even scarier.

Flame Swallow said nothing and had already disappeared. "Follow me!"

"Boss!" Seeing Xiao Lin tirelessly cooling Hong with ice packs, then picking him up and dashing out with Flame Swallow.

Yi didn't move but found people to clean up the bodies on the ground before leaving. The guard chased after Xiao Lin, leaving only Zimu brothers and Guo Guo along with a dog in the entire car dealership.

Everyone tacitly arranged their actions, their hearts all entrusted to Hong. None had ever seen the boss so panicked before. Will Hong die?

This question, Guo Guo asked aloud. You couldn't say she was brainless, but she really wanted to know.

"It's all because of you! If not for you, Hong wouldn't have been in trouble!" Zimu uncontrollably shouted furiously at Guo Guo, and Zilin held Zimu back. "It has nothing to do with her!"

"Why are you defending her? If she hadn't come here, there wouldn't be any assassins causing trouble, and Hong wouldn't have been injured saving her!"

"Calm down!" Zilin hugged Zimu from behind. "Hong has diabetes!"

So they were all always careful in looking after him, never allowing him the slightest chance of getting hurt. (To be continued. If you like this work, welcome to visit Qidian (qidian.com) to vote for your recommendations, monthly tickets, your support is my greatest motivation.)
