Chapter 1329: Experiment

The intense session between Sein and the two women lasted an entire month.

Only these female knights with such formidable physiques and stamina could handle Sein’s roughness.

By contrast, Selina and Eileen’s weaker constitutions as mages meant Sein could never truly let loose with them.

When the haze in his head finally cleared, Sein felt relieved that he was a body-tempering mage.

If he were a traditional Elementalist, a knight wife like Natalya might have drained him dry...

No wonder male mages in Magus World had rarely chosen female knights as partners throughout history.

Beyond their different cultural backgrounds, the gap in physical constitution was also a major issue.

At least Sein would never admit he could not keep up with the ladies.

After this passionate experience, Reina’s cheeks stayed flushed for a long time as she lay staring at the ceiling in a daze.

“So that’s what it feels like,” she murmured.

Reina’s constitution was stronger than Natalya’s and even slightly surpassed Sein’s. However, since it was her first time, her performance still fell behind Natalya’s.

That, however, was something training could fix.

Compared to a month ago, her endurance had already improved noticeably.

Sein still had enough self-control. Given his physical condition, he could have kept going, but as a rational mage, he refused to fully give in to indulgence.

A month of relaxation was enough. Any longer would throw his experiment schedule into chaos.

His daily routine was already tightly packed, and if Natalya had not caught him off guard this time, he might have stayed holed up in the laboratory for years on end.

When it was over, Sein checked on both women and handed them a few vials of potion.

He had not originally intended to get involved with Reina that way; their relationship until now had been platonic.

The only physical contact they shared during body-tempering experiments had always been for the sake of pursuing truth, without any inappropriate intent.

He had to admit that he lost control after Natalya’s provocation.

He even began to wonder if it was because he had gone too long without release.

Of course, Sein would take responsibility for Reina.

Seeing Natalya guide her into an upside-down position, Sein’s lips twitched.

It was obvious Natalya had not given up on the idea of giving him an heir. Whether the child came from her or Reina did not seem to matter to her.

“Will this really work?” Reina asked, her cheeks still rosy.

Natalya tilted her head and replied with a hint of uncertainty in her voice, “It should.”

“At least, that’s what my mom told me,” she added.

Sein shook his head, ignoring their conversation as he walked toward the alchemy laboratory next door.

He had planned to work on his pyro elemental research here, but their activity earlier had left the laboratory in a mess. So now, he would have to focus on a different experiment instead.

A deep blue flame burned slowly between Sein’s metal tweezers.

It was a new type of fire, born from fusing Violet Radiance and Ghost Slayer’s origin flames.

The fuel was a sharp tail hook. The flesh of a Rank Four creature made the flame burn with even greater intensity.

“Besides its unique pyro elemental energy, it also has some soul-corroding effect... and a poisonous property?” Sein mused aloud, studying the flame before placing it under an instrument he had prepared in advance.

There was a metal gauntlet resting on the instrument. Under the influence of the strange flame, the gauntlet slowly absorbed its energy and emitted a faint blue-purple glow.

Sein’s alchemy experiments were not always for his own use. Whether it was weapons or armor for knights, or magic cannons for large-scale wars, he would work on them himself whenever the mood struck.

The process itself was rewarding.

An exceptional mage could improve in any type of experiment.

Unlike the old man Peyton, who liked to puff on cigars in between experiments, Sein preferred fruit juice, though he enjoyed other drinks now and then.

Lava Lotus, a specialty of Pyreling World, was a special plant that grew deep in the lava sea. The juice from its lotus pod had become one of Sein’s favorite drinks lately.

It could enhance pyro elemental affinity for creatures of Rank Three and below, and also increase their fire resistance to some degree.

For Sein, though, it was purely a matter of taste.

It was Yuri, dressed in simple attire, who served Sein a glass of Lava Lotus juice.

Compared to the clumsy Natalya, Sein found her far more capable of managing his daily needs and assisting with experiments.

In the past, Selina had been the one who helped him most in the laboratory.

However, Selina was also a mage with her own research projects. Sein could not keep her as his experiment assistant forever. He wanted her to progress further on her own path too.

It was only when the experiment neared its end and the Violet Flame Gauntlet finished its final quenching that Sein finally looked at Yuri.

Her forehead was already beaded with sweat. She was not a professional mage, so even just assisting left her mentally and physically drained.

It showed how much effort she had been putting into helping him.

“How’s the silver mecha treating you lately?” Sein asked casually as he began tidying the experiment table.

Aside from the Violet Flame Gauntlet, he had recently made several other high-grade magic artifacts.

Most were gifts for others; anything truly suited to his own use was not something he could whip up quickly.

Besides, he was not in dire need of new equipment at the moment.

He had thought about upgrading or even replacing his magic rod, but that would be a major undertaking and not something to be rushed.

“I have mastered about eighty percent of its functions, but operating it still takes a heavy mental toll on me. Because of that, I’ve only been able to unleash fifty-three percent of its full destructive potential,” Yuri reported before explaining a few recent issues she had encountered.

After spending so much time with him, she had developed a habit of giving precise figures in her answers.

She had piloted the silver mecha well during the interplanar war.

While thinking about how to address her current problems, Sein also offered her a few words of praise. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

The acknowledgment brought a smile to Yuri’s face.

Unfortunately, Sein did not notice it. His attention was already elsewhere.
